She was racing in top form prior to the break and has the ideal draw, strong claims. DANCE WITH ARMBRO (6) is smart when right. He was spelled after winning at Kilmore back in January. He looks the best of a pretty ordinary bunch. His main danger may be from the awkwardly drawn and first up CELEVALE LOMBO (11). This fellow hasn’t had a run since August 2007 but has had three trials to fit him for his first up assignment. He was unplaced in all three at Kilmore but did finish fourth behind Keayang Hanover three runs back so if he can get anywhere near that old form today he must be given a chance. Possibly the only other real winning chance looks to be CHEEKY DELIGHT (6). Not a bad effort for fourth two runs back at Kilmore and has actually won a race which puts him in esteemed company against this lot. SCOTCH HANOVER (3) is resuming but does have good gate speed and may be the leader so he could prove hard to run down in a weak race. He ran some nice races in strong three year old company last season and with the improvement from his first up effort looks the one to beat. QUESTION THIS (12) started a hot favourite two back at Echuca but made a mistake then made amends with an impressive all the way victory at Charlton. He goes back to the 10m mark now but is still a winning chance with the right run. MACUENROAD (1) was first up at Echuca when he broke in running but still managed to finish third behind Simply Bettor. He can be a bit slow early but with a safe getaway and a soft trip can certainly make his presence felt. They look the top hopes with place chances going to the well drawn PORTOBELLO ROAD (2), the talented but risky IMAMUSCLESYANKEE (6), SHIPPS CHOICE (8) was placed here last time, and the resuming CLASSIC MAPLE (10). She’s drawn the second row this time round but is the one to beat. PERFECT FANTASY (5) was first up in nine months and didn’t have the best of luck when fourth to Our Falcons a Tact at Shepparton in fast closing fractions. He’d trialled well prior and looks a value chance here. The first starter is MERINDAH MAGIC (9) (Island Fantasy – Colleens Classic) for Ron Wicks. He failed to finish in a trial here 10 days ago but had run third to Imago before that a month prior. He has a good trailing draw and could show up. ZEN OVER AGAIN (11) is an experienced colt who hasn’t been to far away lately and can win without surprising. Multiple players should include the widely drawn ARLINGTON ROAD (7), the resuming THE FED EXPRESS (8) and the well drawn WATERSLIDE (1). It’s fair to say he was disappointing last season but he was a trial winner from a stand at Bacchus Marsh recently and with his blazing gate speed can push forward and run a race first up. MELBOURNIAN (7) has drawn terribly but can still give this a shake with the right run into the race. He never really got a clear crack at them along the sprint lane but still managed to finish third behind Striking Thunder in a fast last half at Shepparton last start. ONEAGLEWINGS (6) hadn’t won for ages but was well driven to score at Ararat last time and can go back to back if given a soft trip off the speed. He has been freshened up for this today and has drawn to trail the likely leader and use the passing lane. REBEL TOWN (1) worked hard from the second row when third at Geelong two back behind SHOOT THE DICE (6) then led and set a cracking tempo but wilted to run midfield behind Luminous Lombo here last start. He looks suited from the pole and the sprint trip is a plus. SHOOT THE DICE (6) was rewarded for his consistent form when he sprinted quickly out wide to score at Geelong last time and despite him drawing wide here is a definite threat if he can get a trail into the race. She‘s had eight runs this season and has been placed in all including two wins. She was a Stawell winner two back off a tough mark then she uncharacteristically missed away but did a good job to finish second to Dream A Moment at Ballarat. She will either lead or trail the leader and looks hard to roll. KYVALLEY MAC (9) returned to his best with a good all the way win at Kilmore last start beating some smart trotters. He goes back to the 10m mark here and will have to negotiate some traffic but if he reproduces his last run can give this a shake. SUN SAMURAI (4) is going well of late with a placing to Si Capisco two runs ago then did a few things wrong in the run when fifth as favourite to Mister Jonas at Shepparton. With better manners he is a good chance here. Place prospects go to ASTRA NOMIS (2) who is honest, MASTER IN COMMAND (3) will be fitter after his first up run at Geelong and the capable mare DELPHI ROSE (6). If he puts his best hoof forward here he should be winning this. CHRISTIAN VANCE (8) has finished second at his past five runs and is bursting to win one. He led and was just cut down by Shannons Legacy at Yarra Valley last time but he should get a soft run on the pegs and will be finishing hard. TIPPEDINTOOMUCH (6) is starting to get back to his best form. He found Goforzoe too slick at Shepparton then did it tough but battled on bravely for third to Algrancos Icon here last start. He’ll have to work for it again here but is a strong place hope. Those taking exotics throw in the well drawn LIVE ANOTHER DAY (1), the resuming LORD OF ABBEY (3), the widely drawn but consistent FELLA FROM LOCKSLEY (5) and the last start Kilmore winner SOLAR OPERATIVE (11). He had no luck at all here two runs ago behind Scarlet Jasper then held his own when midfield to Just Callme Cullen at Kilmore. He should be good odds and is worth an investment. THE ALBERTS (4) enjoyed a nice run and scored comfortably at Ballarat then finished last to Cliona Lucky in a stronger claimer than this at Kilmore. He should race well this grade. WILLABBY JACK (2) has been thereabouts lately with a placing these conditions at Terang three runs ago his best effort of late. He leaves the gate well and may lead out, take a sit and use the passing lane. DANNY CRANE (8) would have been the clear top pick had he not have drawn the awkward alley. He led and bolted in at Yarra Valley in fast time last start but will need luck from his inside second row draw. In a wide race the other winning hopes look to be SUMMER DREAMING (11) and MAGIC SPARK (12).
