He was an easy winner at his last two including over this trip. This looks to be a very suitable race in particular with a small field. He’s the one to beat. UNBUNDLED (8) is also off a back mark and will be much improved by his first up effort at Kilmore when doing some work. He looks the major threat. DEE JAYS CHIP (5) has improved at his past two being placed at both starts at Maryborough. Can fill a minor placing. I’m sticking with the raced brigade and the best of those appears to be ROKEWOOD (9). He was heavily supported into favourite on debut when he sat outside Master Mason and just failed to reel him in to go under by a half head. He goes back to the second line here but does have a nice trailing draw behind a good beginner and will be further improved. EQUITY CHIP (2) has just had the four runs and has been placed at his last two behind Innocent Vance from a bad barrier and then a handy third to Master Mason after leading out and taking a sit. He looks the leader and can give a sight. The best of the unraced runners looks to be LILLA (6) (Village Jasper – Majestic Moth). This filly has had four trials at Maryborough last month winning one and being placed in the other three. She’s been well educated and despite the wide draw will be competitive. ELEGANT OUTLOOK (3) (Dream Away – Karamea Toasttime) is another filly who has trialled nicely at Bendigo last month winning one and being placed in the other in handy enough time. She has drawn a nice alley first up and should race well. Place hopes in the affair go to the well drawn LUKE THOMAS (1), the widely drawn ORTA ACCUMULATE (7) who did things wrong on debut and RONZEL MAX (8) will get a nice cheap run along the markers. The remaining first starters are both from the Doug Dewson stable. SELECTIONS: ROKEWOOD (9), Equity Chip (2), Lilla (6), Elegant Outlook (3) RATINGS: 9/ 2,3,6/ 1,7,8/ 4,5 ? R0 Only RBD Mobile Assessment: This looks a race of three genuine winning chances. RIGHTNRONG (6) had been a problem child in her 11 runs until she finally paced the whole way round and made up good ground to run second to Penequity at Mildura then she drew poorly again at Mildura and found herself three back the pegs when a fast finishing third to Coalemus as favourite. She has drawn badly again here but the small field should suit. MILLIONDOLLARSMILE (4) ran a good race for second to Solicit at Charlton back in late January then put in below par performances at her next two runs. She has been freshened up for this and gets into a winnable race. The only other winning hope is SNAZZY INTEREST (3). This grey mare has been placed five of her 25 starts and is resuming from a break tonight. Although being well beaten at her past few before a spell she was racing better company than what she meets here and has the early gate speed to lead and prove hard to catch. Place chances go to the first starter TAKINOFF (1) (Jet Laag – Holmetua Glo) who ran last in a Mildura trial in December last year but has come up with the pole draw and KATHILINER (5) can improve on her first up run at Charlton where she led but knocked up to finish down the track to Riechella Rose. Hardest to beat looks to be the polemarker DOUBLE POSSIBLE (1). He ran a good third to smart three year old Gold Target here four runs back in fast time then was run off his legs his next two at Echuca and Mildura before he led and ran along at a solid tempo and finished a narrow fourth at Mildura to Crystal Albert. This is an easier assignment and he looks the likely leader. STAR CLASSIC (4) is one of two runners to have actually won a race which he did on this circuit last season as a three year old. He hasn’t been too far away in his five runs this campaign with the best of those a close up second to Bushy Oak at Charlton two runs ago. He’ll acquit himself well here. ASTEX TORNADO (8) has only been placed once in his 17 starts and that was at Echuca behind Miss Nightowl in fast time when he trailed the leader. I can see a similar scenario unfolding here and is a blowout chance in the race. The two other main hopes are the widely drawn FEEL NO PAIN (6) who also was a winner here as a three year old last season. He has been thereabouts lately and with the right run can feature in this as too can SMOKEY BOB (9) who is resuming but has been trialling ok of late. He raced some handy types in his freshman season and was a twice winner in his seven start campaign. He resumed at Mildura where his trailed the leader and had his chance when third to Brown Spiderman in what was just a sprint home. He’ll be fitter and despite the second row draw looks too good for these. There are two really strong place prospects in the race. The first being the well drawn MARNIE MAKES MONEY (1). This filly has been going ok at Mildura lately with a handy enough third three runs ago behind Redcourtcopa in good time. She has good gate speed and will be in front for a long way. The other quinella hope looks to be OUR BOY RUSTLER (8). This fellow has run into some smart ones his past three and will appreciate the drop in class. He has a nice trailing draw behind the likely leader and watch for him to be finding the line nicely along the pegs. In a race lacking depth I give trifecta and first four chances to IMA RED RIVER QUEEN (3) and SPY OR DIE (6). He hasn’t been seen at the trials but has come up with a good barrier and bears watching first up in Australia. LOADED MIND (4) has come out of the same two races that AWESOME ALTO (3) contested at Mildura last month. He finished down the track on both occasions but his previous form was solid and he too will appreciate a drop in class. PACIFIC SHUFFLE (6) wasn’t too far away in those two races at Mildura too but has the wide alley here and place claims appear best. OUR JUILIEANNE (7) is a well performed mare who is resuming from a spell tonight. She was placed 12 of her 18 starts last season including six wins so she obviously has the ability to test these with the right run and MARCHIONESS MEG (2) is a speedy type resuming and can show up from the good draw. He was more than competitive with some of the best as a three year old then he switched stables and although he did win a few races he was struggling to recapture his best juvenile form. He was a strong winner in good time three back at Mildura, had an extremely tough run in the breeze and went down fighting to Showdownatmidnight and then he was a disappointing fourth in moderate company again at Mildura before being sent for a spell. He hasn’t been seen at the trials so it’s hard to gauge where he is at but if he puts his best hoof forward tonight he’ll beat these for fun. DORANELLY (1) on the other hand has been going really well at her three runs back from a break. She put in two good runs at Echuca then stepped it up a cog I thought with a fast finishing second to Regalramapleasure in fast time at Cobram. She has drawn beautifully and will get every chance in front. MYRNIONG ASTRO (5) led all the way at Mildura six runs back and hasn’t had too much luck since. She has drawn widely again here but with some luck in running can surprise at odds. Multiple players must include COOTAS TOOTH (3) who narrowly missed out at Echuca last start, the speedy beginner LIVE ANOTHER DAY (6) has been placed his last two in handy company and the last start Mildura winner CRYSTAL ALBERT (8) will get a soft run along the pegs and is a blowout chance.
