He was placed under similar conditions behind Slately Creek Road prior and is worth thought on an each way basis. OARSOME RHYS (3) is a one paced type, which would be suited to racing close to the pace. He was beaten narrowly by Village Saint at Ballarat two starts back and is worth thought on an each way basis. The query runner of the event is the Grant Crane prepared SPACE ODYSSEY (1), which hasn’t started since January 2008. He was placed behind Black Ferrari in a standing start race last preparation and will be fitter for two recent trial efforts so he must be kept safe. WANDERING GUY (7) should be getting fitter after two starts back from a break and was placed behind Ultimate Secret first up so he is worth an investment. SHIRNELL (4) and SHOOTER MCGAVIN (8) could both show up in a tricky race to commence the program. He is a consistent performer and is worth thought again. ZEN OVER AGAIN (9) is definitely the class runner of the field but faces a tough handicap of 20m. He finished strongly from off the pace when he won at Bendigo last outing and should prove hard to beat again. PJAYSPARTY (7) was making his debut for trainer Emma Stewart when he led throughout and just held off Astral Flight at Ararat. This race is a little tougher but he must be considered as a winning chance again. CAMIVELL ROCK (2) is an honest pacer, which finished fifth (6m) in the Terang Guineas. He has the best draw of all of the major chances so he must be respected. CLOSE SHAVE LOMBO (6) pushed forward out three wide and ran a big race for fourth at his first run since October. He is a risky beginner but is worth a place ticket. WAIWERA SOUTH (3) led and had his chance when second last time but met a handy performer in Fulgent so is worth another chance here. LONGTAN TIGERMAN (2) finished powerfully for an eye-catching third to Nickel And Gold at Ararat last outing. He is better drawn for this assignment and showed enough ability first up to suggest that he is an each way chance here. MANDS GEARL (8) was safely held at Cobram but finished second in the Linden Huntley Little Memorial at Bulli prior so is worth another chance against this line up. BULLDOZER (11) struck trouble when on debut and effortlessly won a Bacchus Marsh trial last week so an improved showing would not surprise. RYLEDO (9) (Artesian – Lombo Lucinda) is a first starter for trainer Bruce Morgan, which followed a Bendigo trial victory with a distant second in a Maryborough trial effort. He worked hard at his latest third and should prove hard to beat here. SACRE COEUR (6) has got into trouble from an inside draw in both of his mobile efforts since coming from New Zealand. His best efforts in New Zealand were from behind the tapes so he has conditions to suit him here. MUDJIMBA BELLE (2) is racing in career best form and followed a Bendigo standing start victory with a close second at Globe Derby. She is perfectly drawn and rates as an each way chance again. YOU LAZY BOY (13) faces a tough handicap of 30m but will appreciate a drop in class on his latest fourth to Watchmefella and is a good standing start beginner. She is awkwardly drawn but is very versatile and is worth an investment. HOWARDS DILEMMA (5) is resuming since November but possesses a powerful finishing burst and went nicely in a Kilmore trial when second to Jubilee Ball last week. She is awkwardly drawn but should run a good race. TAYARNA MIA (1) continues to improve with the benefit of racing and tried to lead throughout when second behind the smart pacer Villagem at Shepparton on Thursday. She should lead again and will give a bold showing. LADY OCTAVIA (3) trailed the leader and dashed to an easy win at Kilmore last outing. MAORI SUNSHINE (8) has returned from a spell in great form having charged to the line at her past outings. If she can muster enough speed to drive through and trail GLUTEUS MAXIMUS (1), she will prove very hard to beat. The query runner of the event is the former New Zealand trotter OLLIE NOVA (10), which makes his debut for trainer Robert Young. He went to the line bolting with no clear run in a recent Bacchus Marsh trial and his record suggests that he obviously has ability. STAR OF JORDAINE (2) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished fast at her latest third and is worth an investment. WESTWOOD CASTLETON (3), MELPARK SUNNYJIM (4), MAORI MISCHIEF (5) and SIMPLY BETTOR (9) all have claims. He trailed forward out three wide from last at the bell when a fast finishing second at Charlton on Thursday and is much better drawn for this assignment. MAXIMUS EXTREMIS (7) settled in the second half of the field and finished fairly well in fast final fractions when he was resuming from a break at Kilmore. He should be fitter for that effort and is a strong pacer when racing at his best form so is worth another chance. ISLAND TANGO (6) is a brilliant beginner from the mobile and tried to lead throughout when third at Moonee Valley last outing. He is even more effective when he comes from off the speed so he is worth an investment. BELOKA DIAMOND (8) will be fitter after her two runs since a spell and finished strongly in a fast final half of 56.3 seconds when an eye-catching third last outing. He possesses early pace so he should be suited by the mobile conditions and gets his chance to break through for a win. MASTER IN COMMAND (9) finished strongly when an eye-catching second to Kyvalley Mac in fast time at Bendigo last outing. He has a trailing draw and is worth following on his latest effort. PRETTYLILANGELEYES (5) is resuming since a fifth at Maryborough in January but has a consistent record and should run a forward race against this line up. SAW FOOT (4) was taken on when leading and tired in the latter stages at his latest eighth. He is better than his form reads and is a possible improver with some more luck in running. This race is much easier and he should prove hard to beat. LA DAINIAN (9) is resuming since August but won a recent Maryborough trial by 40m in handy time so is a likely improver here. BRIDGEWOOD BAY (2) is returning from a Bathurst campaign where he finished seventh in a consolation of the Gold Chalice. He should find this race easier and is a possible improver. RUSTLER BOY (7) seemingly had every chance when third last outing but is showing improvement and meets a slightly easier line up here. JILLIBY BARTEL (1) is resuming since August but is perfectly drawn and might be able to sneak into a place. She looks ideally placed here and is clearly the horse to beat. BOY FROM IPANEMA (12) hasn’t started since a fourth behind IP Game Of Chance($2-60fav) in January but will be fitter for a recent unplaced Kilmore trial effort. He has plenty of ability when racing at his peak and looms as the main threat to ARLEGE BAY (10). MY GEORGIE GIRL (9) was beaten a long way at Ballarat last outing but the time was fast and she was placed at Moonee Valley three starts back so she rates as a place chance again. He is a lovely colt with a promising future. THE GOOD GIRL (8) (Armbro Operative – Federal Cabinet) is a first starter for trainer Kerryn Manning, which finished third in a recent Ararat trial effort. BOHEMIAN LOMBO (1) (Jennas Beach Boy – Gypsy Rose Lombo) is a Darren Cole trained debutante, which is ideally drawn and won his latest trial at Terang but in slow time. ROTKARA STELLA (4) (Mach Three – Rotkara) is a David Murphy, which won her latest Maryborough trial in handy time so must be kept safe. His overall form has been strong however and this looks to be a suitable assignment. TAPPIES PASS (7) has been runner up in three of his past four starts. He couldn’t peg back Knowlsies Crown at Ararat last week but that horse did enjoy a good run when leading so he could go one better here. SHOW ME AMBER (3) defeated Ultimate Deal (won since) at Moonee Valley four starts back and didn’t have much luck behind Good Bye last week. She possesses early speed and should be prominent throughout. ONEAGLEWINGS (4) overcame a tough run to win at Ararat three starts back and hasn’t been beaten far at his past two starts. Unfortunately, the barrier draw is a disadvantage but he has the ability to competitive in this event. HARRISWELLS (1) is drawn to receive every hope so he rates as an each way chance. He gets into this race with a concession claim and is worth following. RHYTHM OF THE PRIDE (5) is building up a good record and beat a handy type in McGintys Goat at Terang three starts back. She blitzed an easier field at Mount Gambier last time and is capable of taking the next step forward. SAFE AS A MINT (1) finished strongly when third at Moonee Valley two starts back but seemed to have her chance at Ballarat last week. She is perfectly drawn so is worth another chance here. REBECCA DON (7) has won six of her twelve starts for the season and was placed behind the classy 3yo pacer Lightning McCool last outing so she is worth an investment. GEORGIAMAC (2), POWERFUL PANTHER (4) and PONCHARTRAIN (8) all are capable of showing up without surprising. T0 or better RBD Stand Craig’s call: SHIRAZ CABERNET (9) took on the leader mid-race but couldn’t find the front and ended up taking a trail so he had little luck last outing. He won impressively in his two attempts prior and looks very hard to beat here. STARTONSCRATCH (6) was slowly away and worked into a distant third at his first run since September. He should be fitter for that effort and is one of the leading chances. JOULE COUNT (8) places more often than she wins and looked to be traveling like a winner at the 500m when outstayed by Wrath Of Rosie last time. She does have a consistent record however so is worth thought on an each way basis. JIM GEE FLETCHER (1) is working up to his best form and didn’t have a great deal of luck when a handy finishing second to Windy Dollar at Ararat. He is not a brilliant beginner but is a winning chance if he can step away reasonably well. ITSLIGHTSCAMERAACTION (4) is the likely leader and is a minor place chance in the event.
