ORIGAMI MISS (Caul R8 No. 3): After her last run I thought she looked a bit poor when I looked at her, she’d fallen away behind, but I’m pleased with her now. THEWOLVERINE(Rand R1 No. 5): I was quite pleased with him the other day. I think the Randwick mile will really suit him. KAPHERO(Rand R8 No. 2): He looked a bit light and ribby before last start and I was a bit worried. He’s since thrived after being brought home. He’s put on about 20-25kg. I think he’ll run well. The 6 THIS is a load-up leg for the quaddie. MASKED ASSASSIN (12) has turned in two top runs 7 following a long spell and is ready to peak at the 1400m. He’s a Group class galloper at his best and will make his own luck racing on pace. CHASM (7) is back from Sydney where he was competitive in Group races. He needs luck because he gets back in his races but has a powerful finish. ORBIT EXPRESS (9) has missed a place once in nine runs at the 1400m. SOUND JOURNEY (14) was just beaten by SKIDDAW PEAK (5) here in a $100,000 race at this trip two weeks ago but has the better of the barrier draws this time. Probably one of the most exciting mile prospects in the state, an owner’s dream. His Sydney form has been solid and suspect he’s better on the Melbourne leg. Looks to be heap of pace here and he’s perfectly drawn to swoop and win.
