He is very versatile and looks very hard to beat against this line up. KID COCONUT (7) sprinted quickly via the sprint lane to win at Moonee Valley then galloped and lost his chance last time. He is a quality colt and is capable of overcoming the outside of the front line draw. ON ANY DAY (11) galloped at the start and was last throughout in a strong Super Series heat at Cobram last outing. His form prior was strong and he is worth thought on an each way basis. CLOSE SHAVE LOMBO (3) is working back to his best form and sprinted home strongly in a fast final quarter of 28.3 seconds to win at Ballarat last time. This race is harder but he is capable of filling a place. BOY FROM IPANEMA (4) won against easier opposition at Terang three starts back then finished unplaced at his next two outings. He is a minor place chance along with HEZALINER (6), which possesses a good turn of speed when he gains the right luck in running. VILLAGEM (2) was a good thing beaten at Cranbourne last outing where he endured a terribly hard run and fought hard in the straight. He is perfectly drawn and is a chance of causing an upset. KALAHARI PRINCE (4) finished brilliantly to get up and score at Moonee Valley last outing and got back into the draw after a Geelong trial second on Monday where he went to the line under a vice like grip. He has won four of his eight starts and should make his presence felt. MEET MY MAKER (1) faded after racing on the outside of the leader throughout at Horsham but led throughout to win at Ballarat prior. This race is tougher but it wouldn’t surprise to see him taking a trail behind VILLAGEM (2) and receiving every chance via the sprint lane. PAPA CAMELOT (5) is a New South Wales pacer for astute mentor Neil Day and finished unplaced in the Newcastle Derby last outing. He is meeting a strong field but is worth a place ticket. Other place hopes include GOLD TARGET (8) and LA MORAY (10). She came from last and finished brilliantly two back then led throughout to effortlessly beat Question This last week. ENJOYABLE (1) had every chance in the Emerging Stars last outing but possesses a good turn of speed and is likely to find this assignment easier. He led throughout to defeat Skyvalley in a victory earlier in the season so is capable of mixing it with this class. ENOTHEQUE (6) was checked at the start in the Emerging Stars last outing and couldn’t recover as the winner Jo Bro ran along at a rapid rate. She is a fast beginner from the standing start and is very consistent so she is worth another chance. ERINGA BELLE (10) is a speedy mare, which has been placed in three of her past five starts and has the ability to run to the line strongly. Her latest unplaced run came behind the outstanding trotter I Didn’t Do It so she looks better placed here. KYVALLEY MIRAGE (4) and CEDRIC SLICK (8), which went nicely in a Geelong trial on Monday, both are minor place hopes in the event. He beat Fashion Town (won impressively since) with ease at Moonee Valley last time and is clearly the horse to beat again. OUR ELLAS FELLA (7) led throughout and won comfortably at Nyah then pushed around the field mid-race when he boxed on well for fourth to Lightning McCool at Moonee Valley last week. He is widely drawn but is the main danger to IM OUTTAHERE (11). MOIRA KITE (3) had every chance at Moonee Valley last outing when she trailed forward out three wide and battled in the straight but her overall form has been consistent so she is a minor place chance. IMAGINALITY (4) is resuming since a narrow second to Top Pennymaker in January but has been placed in several recent Maryborough trial efforts. He is meeting a couple of smart pacers here but is worth a place ticket. IMA GIFT (9) just failed to peg back Roar Talent in an easier race last time and is a minor place chance again. He is ideally drawn over the short trip and should take beating. KING OF BLING (5) will appreciate a big drop in class from his latest eight where he took on the metropolitan class at Moonee Valley and scored at Kilmore three starts back so he is worth an investment. STEVE MCQUEEN (4) weaved a passage through the pack from last at the 800m when he was brilliantly driven to win last time. He is very consistent and is one of the leading chances again. ALEPPO ICE (9) is an underrated pacer, which endured a tough run for most of the trip, hit the lead on the home turn and was gunned down by CC’s Lover last outing. He has a trailing draw and is worth thought on an each way basis. BECADA STAR (6) led throughout at Moonee Valley last outing and is suited to the sprint distance so is not without a chance. MELBOURNIAN (7), GIVEUSACHANCE (8) and DHONI (11) all have claims in this good quality field. Craig’s call: The New South Wales pacer WRECK TANGLES (1) finished fifth in the New South Wales Derby and couldn’t work into the race from a second line draw in a strong Super Series event at Cobram last time. He races best when he is able to lead and has won 10 of his 19 starts so he must be respected here. INDIGO BAY (11) possesses a good turn of speed and ran to the line strongly when fourth in the Tasmanian Derby then finished unplaced in the Australian Derby. He should find this race to be easier than his most recent efforts and recorded a slick final half of 56.7 seconds when he demolished his rivals in a recent Bendigo trial victory. ARTORIUS (9) motored home when an eye- catching fifth to Kalahari Prince at Moonee Valley last outing. He has a trailing draw and should be running home powerfully in the run to the finish. A FALCON CAN (10) worked past the early leader Smallboyinthecrowd and found the front when held off his rivals to win last outing. He is facing a tougher test here but is worth a place ticket. MAD MACCA (3) has endured a tough run at his three efforts since resuming and is a minor place possibility from his good draw on the front line. ALLWEVNEED (4) and CHRISTIAN SHADOW (6) both are minor place hopes in the event. BULLEE BULLEE (9) dashed through in-between runners at the start and worked to the front from a second line draw at his latest victory. He might not find the lead here but is capable of making it five wins in succession. MAKE WAVES (10) was resuming since March when he struck trouble on the first corner and did well to finish fifth in the Bold David FFA at Moonee Valley last week (1.54.7 mile). He has a terrific turn of speed and should be competitive. JACCKA CLIVE (8) couldn’t have drawn worse than the inside of the second line but fought hard when second to Em Maguane two starts back then recorded fast time at his latest Bendigo victory. He continues to take the next step up in grade and is worth thought again. BOORHAMAN (4) was placed behind JACCKA CLIVE (8) last outing and looks better suited being drawn off the front line this evening so is worth a place ticket. LUCKY ECLIPSE (1) is a place hope via the sprint lane while VILLAGE IN VESA (5) looks to be the leader in the event but has performed well below expectations at his two starts back from a break. He won a recent trial at Echuca and would clearly be the horse to beat if he was somewhere near his peak. JUSTABRITTMORE (5) followed a trial victory at Bendigo with a “death seat” win at Kilmore. This is a similar line up so he is worth thought again. GOLDIES SON (2) led and gave a bold showing when second to the smart pacer Byethelot at Echuca. That was his first run since February and he is nicely drawn so he is capable of going one better. STAR CLASSIC (8) had every hope after trailing the leader and eventual winner Our Ellas Fella at Nyah last outing but is a place hope from his trailing draw.
