Trainer-driver Mark Hewitt said the unbeaten juvenile would join the list of stars in action at the opening meeting of Melton’s Tabcorp Park on July 5. ‘‘The Vicbred series is one of the few feature races he’s eligible for so we’re looking forward to it,’’ Hewitt said. The semi-finals of the Vic- bred series are at Tabcorp Park on July 5, but Two Eye See will need to qualify through a heat in Victoria. Two Eye See, who lost his right eye in a paddock mis- hap when three days old, stretched his unbeaten record to six races with vic- tory in the Kevin Seymour Classic at Albion Park on Saturday night. + Hewitt expects an even sharper Two Eye See in Vic- toria. Dominant: Lifeinthefastlane wins her semi of the Vicbred Series. Picture: GARY WILD ‘‘Brisbane was his first trip away and it didn’t go as smoothly as I would’ve liked. He didn’t settle all that well, but was still good enough to get the job done,’’ Hewitt said. T RAINERS and drivers will get their first taste of Tabcorp Park’s 1040m track on June 9. Harness Racing Victoria has confirmed the first set of trials at the sport’s new home would be held on Tues- day night. More trials will be held on June 16. ‘‘I would encourage trainers to take this chance to trial their horses at Tab- corp Park,’’HRVchief execu- tive John Anderson said. ‘‘These trials provide the opportunity for the track to stabilise under horse traffic and, in turn, for our track design team to ensure the racing surface is at its peak on opening day.’’ The highlight of the first meeting will be the Shire Of Melton Sprint, featuring stars such as Smoken Up, DiamondsNFurs and Karloo Mick. her historic second to Cap- tain Joy in the Victoria Derby final earlier this season was no fluke. The Shannon McLean- trained filly has already bag- ged the Victoria Oaks and looks to have Friday night’s Vicbred final at her mercy. S Broadways Best appeared to go to a new level with an arrogant win last Friday night in her Vicbred semi- final. The other semi-final was won by the much-travelled Lifeinthefastlane with Tas- manian raider Shez Ryley- mak the hard luck story. SAVED HIS LIFE (11) is a Life Sign – The Star Class gelding in the care of Neville Welsh. He has been trialling ok and this is not strong. Expect a forward showing.
