This race is easier and she will take plenty of beating. REGAL THEORY (1) is resuming since a third in a Consolation of the Bathurst Gold Tiara in March. She is drawn to trail the leader ROTKARA STELLA (2) throughout so she is a good Quinella chance. AMBERS CHOICE (5) settled three back on the markers and dashed home to win at Kilmore on debut then tried hard for second in the Aussco Graduate Final. She disappointed last time but has a good turn of speed and is capable of a better performance. WESTERN IMPACT (3) is a minor place chance. She brilliantly won the “Lombo” by almost 30m earlier in the season and has won a recent trial at Shepparton so she looks to be the class runner of this field. THATCERTAINFEELING (8) (Our Sir Vancelot – Anna Fierling) is a Bruce Morgan trained debutante, which followed a Bendigo trial win with a second at a Tabcorp Park trial so she must be respected. GORGEOUS AN DIVINE (2) came from last to finish fifth to Shanghi on debut. She is perfectly drawn and should be improved by the experience so she is a definite place chance. CROCODILE TEARS (1) is resuming since a seventh at Cobram in March. She showed ability at her first preparation and will be fitter for her recent Shepparton trial fifth so she could show up. MANDS GEARL (9) worked to the line strongly for sixth to Ballandella Baby at Shepparton and boxed on reasonably well for third behind Led Suitcase prior. She has a trailing draw and could sneak into a place. ORRLANA (4) (Safely Kept – Lana) is a first starter for trainer Shane Sinclair that finished fourth in slow time in a recent Bendigo trial. He should be better for that effort and will take holding out here. WHAT AM I (3) possesses early speed and looks to be the early leader. He made it through to the Super Series Final so has plenty of ability and is one of the leading chances. SMOOTH (4) is working into her best form and missed out narrowly behind Card Player at Yarra Valley last time. She possesses a good turn of speed and is not without a winning chance. SKY SALUTE (8) tried to lead throughout when second to Tormachtuga at Ararat and is a place chance again despite an awkward draw on the second line. STANLEY GORDON (2) (The Wrath Of Pan – Gone Heavy) is a first starter for trainer Greg Ryan, which was unplaced in several Bendigo trials back in October. REAL FELLA (9) (Pacific Fella – Goldwood Lace) is a first starter for trainer Bruce Morgan, which followed a Bendigo trial win in slow time with an unplaced trial effort on that track. He is better drawn for this assignment and should go well. TAKEABREAK (5) possesses a good turn of speed and will appreciate a drop in class for this assignment so is worth an investment. STRIDENT (8) (What’s Next – New Arrival) is a beautifully bred first starter for trainer Jenny Johnson, which won a recent Bendigo trial (2.4.2, 59.2) and strikes a winnable race on debut. WENDY ANNE (9) had little luck when third to Ski Skipper two starts back then followed with a fourth to From Day One when she was shuffled back on the markers mid-race. She has a trailing draw and should be working to the line nicely. She drops back to the handicap of 10m but should prove hard to beat again. ADRENALYN (7) came from last and finished quickly to win comfortably at Terang last outing. He is poorly drawn again but has the ability to figure to win again. WHEELERS HILL (2) is a good beginner from the standing start and led throughout to win at Maryborough on January 12. He should be prominent throughout from his good draw and rates as an each way chance. HEEZA JONARK (3) should be fitter for his first up third behind the smart mare Cobargo Magic and is one of the leading chances in this event. She is drawn to lead here and is clearly the horse to beat. LADY TORRENCE (8) has the perfect trailing draw behind MARKLEIGH PRINCESS (1) and finished nicely at her latest Ararat fifth so looks to be a strong Quinella chance. GOLDEN SHOWGIRL (10) raced out three wide for a lap then ended up on the outside of the leader for the rest of the journey when fourth at Horsham last time. She is a tough filly but will need luck from her wide draw. NARRA SANDS (7) has won two of her last three starts and gets into this race with a concession claim. He possesses a powerful finishing burst and is worth another chance. WAIKAWA BAY (11) finished nicely in restricted room when he ran fourth at Bendigo last outing. He was a winner at Maryborough prior and should prove hard to beat. V O TWO (10) failed to beat a runner to the line in a semi-final of the Tontine Series at Ballarat last time but will find this assignment easier and won two races in May. JOHNORAMA (1) produced a strong finish to win at Geelong then was pressured when leading and kicked on well for fourth at Yarra Valley. This race is a little tougher but he is drawn to go well. She won comfortably at her previous two attempts and is worth another chance. MY YANKEE SENSATION (3) worked hard to lead and boxed on well for third last outing. She is a maiden from 24 starts but might jump to the front again and is a minor place possibility. EL PELIGROSO (5) is resuming since April but was a winner at Charlton when he was last in work and is not without a chance against this line up. PROMISES KEPT (2) races best when she is able to lead over the sprint distance so she has conditions to suit her here and will appreciate a drop in class on her latest fifth in a strong Mares race at Menangle last week. SHES MAKIN WAVES (8) finished fast from the tail of the field when a close second to Jennas Ranger last week. She is racing in great form but is drawn awkwardly on the inside of the second line over the sprint distance. He is awkwardly drawn behind DRUMFIRE (1) but is very versatile and is one of the leading chances. DRUMFIRE (1) went to the line jogging with no clear run when a luckless third to QUANTUM KIWI (8) last week. He is yet to win in five starts since resuming from a break but is drawn to go close here. SELECTIONS: ROYAL DON (4), Sunny Stone (9), Pinkstwotter (6), Joshua Robert (8) SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL DON (4) to win EXOTIC BET: Flexi Trifecta 4,9/ 1,2,4,6,8,9/ 1,2,4,6,8,9 (Cost $20, which gives 50%) 7 3YO Pace 1 28451 HI FLYIN LOMBO 2 16072 HISSY FIT 3 315s NICKYS HEIR NZ 4 42223 WOODYBEGOOD 5 92292 MEMPHIS BAY 6 03s51 FACE YOUR FEARS NZ 7 6s036 GOOD LUCK TASS Second Line 8 1s875 OUR MACH BE NIMBLE NZ 9.30 Q4 1760m. $8000. 3yo 3A0 To 3A1 PBD Mobile G J Fitzpatrick Fr 8.00 D J Elder Fr 11.00 D J Thorn Fr ?4.00 G R Coney Fr 4.50 J R Ponsonby Fr ?4.00 G W Bennett Fr 4.30 G W McElhinney Fr 34.00 J D Pengilly Fr 7.00 Craig’s call: It is a tricky race to end the Quaddie with several winning chances. MEMPHIS BAY (5) has been runner up in three of his last four starts and parked on the outside of the leader and event winner FACE YOUR FEARS (6) when a game second last time. The barrier draw has been reversed so he can turn the tables. NICKYS HEIR (3) is a nicely bred pacer, which finished fifth behind the smart pacer Itaintover in a fast mile of 1.54.1 at Menangle last outing. He won at Menangle prior and is worth an investment. OUR MACH BE NIMBLE (8) is better than his numerical form reads and is a possible improver from his trailing draw. He worked hard and battled on well for sixth (6m) to Arras in a heat of the Winter Championship at Moonee Valley last outing. DENS BLUE BEE BAY (6) was runner up against similar grade three starts back and has been racing well but without luck for some time so he should be running home well at the finish. WALK OF LIFE (8) is awkwardly drawn on the inside of the second line but is racing consistently and should be competitive against this line up. FRANCO TORRO (4) possesses early pace and struck trouble when a creditable fourth to Jasper Gold last outing. He races best when he is able to lead and looks to be a winning chance against this line up.
