He has a good trailing draw today and looks a good gamble. BOHDANS CHANCE (6) has been consistent this season and despite the horror draw he comes into calculations along with MAX SMART (2) who gets his best draw for a while and may be the leader, UP TO DATE (1) is having his first run for Frank Cavallaro after some moderate performances at Broken Hill. She has only been placed the once from her six starts and that was here three runs ago behind Lucys Diva. She has been well beaten her past two but this is the easiest race she is going to contest and if she happens to find the lead she may be the one to beat. Other hopes to WATERTECH (4) who wasn’t far away at Terang last start, GEMELLCO (6) has the bad alley to contend with but was placed here four runs ago behind Ignite The Fuse, PLAYBOY CULLEN (8) was a handy second three runs back at Shepparton. HARLEKEN WIZARD (10) was a good second four runs ago behind Beccasgem, finished off ok for fourth to Tiger O’Reilly and then didn’t have much luck his next two being help up for a run behind Demon Dean before galloping when looking some chance in the race won by Moving It last week. The draw is a worry but this does look a good race fro him. His danger will be THAT IS CORRECT (3) who won at Charlton Friday last Friday in a blanket finish after having a soft run. This is no harder and he should be in the finish again. Place hopes go to the resuming MISS HAYLEY CLAIR (8) who has the ‘Douglas Factor’, GONE CRUZIN (4) is on the improve with a handy fourth here last time with the well drawn OAK ON FIRE (2). He hasn’t been seen at the trials as is the custom with the Douglas camp but he is sure to be ready to fire first up and has good gate speed to put himself into a position early. His stablemate FIRE IT UP (8) may be his main danger. This former Kiwi hit the line strongly for fourth last time at Geelong behind the potential top liner Sammy Maguire and will be fitter as that was only his second run back from a break. WHATABOUT JASPER (10) is ‘low flying’ at the moment with impressive victories here at two of his past three runs. He has a shocking draw over the sprint trip but if the speed is on early he’ll be charging home. They look the top three with blowout chances going to in order GAME VEE JAY (9), THE GOLDEN BIRD (1), JENNAS BEACH GIRL (3) and CAMPBELL WALLACE (7). C1 Or Better RBD Stand Michael Polster selects: Sticking with ‘Team Douglas’ again here with ARUN PARK (5) looking mighty hard to beat. He was a luckless fourth to Waingaro Grandview at Moonee Valley then found the line nicely behind Queen of Fire in a fast 1.57.1 mile at Geelong from a tricky draw. He handles the tapes well and ‘Dasher’ will give him every hope. MYRNIONG ASTRO (4) was a handy third here behind two inform types in Trinita Road and Beccasgem after enjoying a nice trail behind the speed. He has had two goes at the stand for a third and he should be thereabouts again. MASTER WES (9) has picked up his form in recent weeks and has had standing start experience back in NSW and he might be the value runner of the field with other chances going to TORRETTI (8) who led all the way at his last start here but the stand is a bit of a query, THE BEST SOUND (10) is no Safe And Sound but he normally is a good beginner from the stand and despite his 30m back mark he is a must for the multiples. SELECTIONS: ARUN PARK (5), Myrniong Astro (4), Master Wes (9), Torretti (8) RATINGS: 5/ 4,8,9/ 10/ 1,2,7 SUGGESTED BET: ARUN PARK to win 10 99816 THE BEST SOUND Adam Crettenden (C,cl) 30 8.00 3 210s2 SHES LADY DILINGER NZ 4 86506 VILLAGE CHARM 5 87867 RIVERGUMREG 2 67427 PACIFIC SHUFFLE Second Line 7 66211 PENEQUITY 6 43624 OUR CRUSHERDUST NZ Michael Polster selects: In what could be a very successful day at the office for Anderson Racing OUR CRUSHERDUST (6) has a terrific chance of burning to the lead and getting away with the prize. He didn’t get much peace in front here last start and weakened to finish fourth behind the flying Whatabout Jasper in very fast time. If he happens to get across them early and gets a comfortable time in front I think he’ll get the cash. CATLINS LORD (10) was a strong winner here two back in good time then wasn’t disgraced finishing a close up fourth to The Best Sound two weeks back and looms as one of many dangers. PENEQUITY (7) is going great guns at the moment and is shooting for the hat trick of wins on this track. The draw makes it tough for her but she is in a purple patch. SHES LADY DILINGER (3) who ran a good second first up and has the gate speed to be prominent throughout. The best of those for mine is LOW DOWN (9). This son of Christian Cullen had been working up to a win with two good seconds here before he messed up the start as favourite and finished towards the rear behind MOVING IT (10) last week. He’ll need a touch of luck from his draw but he has as good a chance as any. PALOMBA FLYER (2) led and battled on well when third last time behind MOVING IT (10) and looks the leader again and will appreciate the drop back to the sprint trip. MOVING IT (10) broke through for a well deserved win last start after some luckless runs here last month. She hasn’t started since finishing a handy third in a heat of the Australian Pacing Gold at Moonee Valley behind Morgan Abbey. She was an impressive Bacchus Marsh trial winner recently and from the ideal alley she looks hard to beat. VICTORY LAP (8) was a good run on debut when second in restricted grade at Tapcorp Park then she got it all wrong at Moonee Valley and was retired from the race. She has a nice trailing draw tonight and providing she is back on song she is a chance. CHARLOTTE BREW (7) looks the only other winning hope. She showed good gate speed to lead and went down fighting to Glenferrie Inn on debut at Moonee Valley. She’ll be further improved and looks a handy filly in the making. CLANCY ROSE (3) didn’t have the best of luck when resuming behind the star Lady Belladonna at Charlton and has a strong place hope along with the first starters GOLDNBLONDE (2) (Totally Western – Natures Own), TAGGING (4) (Modern Art – Calibre Nine), NICKLE MISS (6) (Grinfromeartoear – Lets Go Baby) and RAZAR ORN (9) (Safely Kept – Raging Eagle) all of which have been trialling fairly. She came from well back to win her Semi Final of the Vicbred Super Series at Moonee Valley then she wasn’t disgraced finishing fifth in the Final behind Australia’s best filly Broadways Best. She’ll settle close to the speed from her good draw and looks a moral. Multiples are the way to get a quid with strong place hopes going to SUNROSE MARY (2) who is in career best form having won three of her past five, CASINO PRINCESS (4) is a headstrong filly who can be her own worst enemy by over racing and she is sure to press forward and ensure a strong tempo, ALBERT ROSE (1) is honest and well drawn while JAZZEE VALENTINE (6) is a must include for the multiples. KISS AND FLY (6) showed good speed to lead, walk and win at Moonee Valley last start which followed a string of placings. With that win under her belt I think she can go on with the job here especially if ‘Little B’ can fire her out and take up the running. PINK BALL GOWN (1) was first up since late April when she had every hope finishing second to ALPHA BABE (8) here, will be fitter and the barrier is a plus. PENNIES TO PEARLS (3) is on the improve with good third placings at her past two runs at Bendigo and Geelong. She has the gate speed to be prominent throughout and looks the value runner. ALPHA BABE (8) was well driven to score an upset win here last time and with Scot Dyer in the sulky again she is sure to be given every hope once more. He was a Group 2 winner as a two year-old and despite only winning two of his 29 starts he must be respected. Again he has drawn wide but I’m tipping a stack of speed in this race tonight and if he gets a crack at them late he’ll go very close. ULTIMATE DEAL (7) was noticed charging home for a top fourth to classy mare Christian Melody in a 1.58.7 mile at Cranbourne last time, will appreciate the step up in distance and the expected genuine tempo. MOHICAN PRINCE (2) came from well back to score an impressive victory at Charlton last start. He has finally drawn a barrier tonight, has wicked speed to be in the fight early and will give you a run for your money. MELBOURNIAN (1) blasted his rivals away with a sub 57 second last half to win at Bendigo two back and with the ace draw tonight he will get his chance via the sprint lane. Best of the rest is SPIDER NELSON (6) who loves to roll along in front and he is a big chance of getting things to suit. Remaining runners have place claims at the very least. However she too looks well handicapped off the front line and will be in the finish. KING KIPPER (9) is in fine form winning three of his past five. A FALCON CAN (12) is a handy three year-old with a good record. He led all the way at Yarra Valley two back then was outclassed behind Wreck Tangles in a heat of the Vicbred Super Series in blistering time. This is a drop in class but he will need some luck from the horror alley. OUR ARCHANGEL (11) hit the line nicely here last time out behind On Any Day from a similar draw and rates a chance if he can work into the race. TICKLE THE FALCON (10) wasn’t beaten far first up at Tabcorp Park and will be fitter but again the draw is a worry. STARCRAZY (1) has the speed to lead and may give them something to chase but I would prefer him over the sprint trip. GOLDEN SHOWGIRL (9) has a nice trailing draw tonight and can improve on her below par efforts of late with chances also to LORDOFTHEFLY (4) and DALMONT CHARLI (6).
