LOW DOWN (10) was runner up twice at Mildura in June and meets a suitable line up here. PASSCHENDAELE (11) places more often than she wins but runs to the line nicely and is not without a chance. She has a trailing draw and is not without a chance. V C AND BAR (6) lacks early dash but beat a handy field at Geelong under the standing start conditions last outing and rates as an each way hope. MASTER WES (8) trailed the leader, gained a clear passage at the 400m and boxed on fairly well for a distant second behind Master Waratah last week. He had no luck at Horsham prior and is worth thought. TRINITA ROAD (11) had every chance when third to Master Waratah last week but has been placed at his past six starts and is worth a place ticket. OUR MADAGASCAR (4) has been impressive since coming from New Zealand and got up to win in the last stride at Kilmore last time. This race is a little harder but he is capable of taking the next step forward. She has had won four wins and two seconds from her past six starts and is better drawn so she looks very hard to beat here. NAVIGATOR JACK (6) makes his debut for trainer Daryl Weightman and was competitive against tougher opposition last campaign so he must be respected despite being first up since March. GYRO SPIRIT (9) had his chance when leading at Echuca two starts back then finished fourth to the smart pacer Knight Crusader at Ballarat. This race is a little easier and he could show up. She won under similar conditions at Harold Park in June and should prove hard to beat against this line up. BARA INGRID (4) was heavily supported and couldn’t work into the race from the inside of the second line two starts back then boxed on well for third last week. She is not a brilliant beginner from the mobile but is nearing a win against this class. PETES TROUBLE (1) ran a good race behind Joy Cee Dee two weeks ago then performed well below expectations when last of seven on Friday night. TAKIM (6) was unsuited by a slowly run race and did a big job to make ground in a fast final half of 56.5 seconds in the Paleface Adios Stakes last week. He is widely drawn but must be respected. BOMBORA LOMBO (2) has been placed at his past four starts and worked to the line reasonably well for third to Best Of Times last week. He is nicely drawn and is one of the leading chances again. ROCKETS REJECT (1) disappointed in the Paleface Adios Stakes last week when he led, set up a very slow speed and faded into fifth. He has won 9 of his 13 starts however and is likely to find this assignment easier. CANT BLUFF ME (5) is rising in class on his latest victory but was brilliant in that effort as he raced wide and blitzed his rivals in a mile rate of 1.56.3. He is very tough and will be suited by the staying trip so he must be respected. FRANCO NESTER (1) will appreciate his best draw for some time and caught the eye with his sixth at Harold Park last week where he ran into a dead-end in the home straight and should’ve finished much closer. If he could hold a forward position at the start, he would be a good each way bet here. ITS MY PLEASURE (1) finished solidly for second to Col Walker in a Breeders Crown heat in record time last outing and is drawn to run a big race here. ART OF WAR (8) won with authority against much easier grade at Newcastle on Saturday and should receive a nice trail from the inside of the second line. He won the 4yo Championship at Albion Park three starts back and will run a good race. ROHAN HOME (8) overcame a tough run in the last lap to win impressively last week and is a value hope. IM THEMIGHTYQUINN (3) made his Eastern States debut when he parked on the outside of the leader in a slowly run and sprinted quickly in the last lap to win in the Paleface Adios Stakes. His form in Perth is outstanding but this is his toughest test. SAMMY MAGUIRE (10) won with something in reserve in the Hondo Grattan Stakes when he pushed forward to race without cover mid-race. He is terribly drawn but has the class to figure in the finish. MAFFIOSO (6) is a brilliant beginner from the mobile and has led throughout to win his past two attempts at Harold Park. He is a winning chance again if he can head off his rivals into the first corner. LELIS BOY (4) is a Victorian trotter, which begins quickly from the standing start and won two races in June. RAYLEIGHS CROWN (8) is a consistent performer, which found Ronerail too strong last week. He has been runner up in five starts against similar opposition recently and is not without a chance. INDIA (6) is a risky beginner from the standing start but has been racing in good form in recent weeks and is a winning chance with a safe getaway. DOUGS PLACE (2) worked to the line well in a fast final quarter of 28.1 seconds when fourth to Boris Badenov last outing. He is a consistent pacer with a good draw so he looks to be one of the leading chances. GENUWINE (8) has been disappointing since coming from America but will find this race easier than his latest fifth to Best Of Times in the Paleface Adios Stakes. He is awkwardly drawn behind DENS BLUE BEEJAY (1) but should be finding the line well.
