He has a good turn of speed and should take holding out against this line up. THIS BOY (2) ended up trailing the leader and used the sprint lane to get up and win at Cranbourne last outing. This race is a little tougher but he is drawn to go close. FRANCO SHUTTLE (10) seems to race best over the sprint distance and returned to some form with a third to Twisted Firestarta at Shepparton last time. He is poorly drawn but is worth an investment. BOOZY ROUGE (9) was unplaced behind the handy pacer Hollywood Bromac last outing when he had little luck after a second at Cranbourne. He has a trailing draw and is worth thought on an each way basis. THE VADOOCH (1) and JASPERS BABE (3) are minor place hopes from their good draw on the front line. She races best over the sprint distance but will take catching with the right run in front. DREAMS OF HEAVEN (5) led and had every possible chance when third at Kilmore last outing but ran a good race for fifth in the Australian Oaks prior and is worth another chance. AYU GYPSY (7) circled the field mid-race to park on the outside of the leader, took cover behind Broadways Best at the bell and boxed on fairly well for a distant fourth behind that pacer last outing. She won at Yarra Valley prior and is worth a place ticket. ONEBYONE (2) is an honest filly with place claims and BANGKOK DANCER (4) is an inconsistent Queensland pacer that is smart on her day but she does have a poor record over 2100m (13-0-3-1). She will find this race easier and must be respected. ANANZ (1) worked home nicely into a distant fourth in the Australian Oaks then was surprisingly beaten in the Southern Cross Final at Globe Derby after she moved up without cover in the early stages of the event. She is perfectly drawn for this assignment and is worth another chance. WHODYOU WANTMETOBE (3) trailed KEPPEL BAY (8) throughout in her heat third at Kilmore but was having her first run in 6 weeks and might be fitter for this assignment. MISS ATHENS (4) was placed after being well driven to find the back of the leader in her heat effort and MISS RUBY TUESDAY (5) is a filly from New South Wales that had her chance when second in her heat but met a smart horse in Ima Spicey Lombo. She led out, took a trail and won the Australian Oaks prior so she should atone from her good draw. LIFE INTHEFASTLANE (5) showed brilliant gate speed but just failed to head off her rivals from the outside of the front line when a brave third at Kilmore. She had little luck in the Australian Oaks prior and is capable of causing an upset. AY TEE EM (4) couldn’t muster sufficient acceleration to hold the back of the leader from the inside of the second line draw and had no luck when fourth in her heat effort. He raced a little below his best first up but should be improved by that outing and will run a good race if he can receive the right luck in running from what might be an awkward draw. INDIGO BAY (2) possesses a powerful finishing burst and was having his first run for five weeks when a handy fourth to Villagem. He is better drawn for this assignment and is a value chance. ERNIES KEEP (10) gets into this race with a concession claim and finished nicely to score at Harold Park on July 17. He led and faded at Newcastle last time but met multiple metropolitan winners in that event so he is worth thought here. JULIUS APOLLO (5) charged home when an eyecatching fifth to Rockets Reject last week. He is a genuine sprinter and needs the right run to feature prominently but he is nearing a win against this class. THE UPPER CRUST (5) has started off a big handicap at his past two starts and won from behind the mobile three starts back so he must be respected. RAYLEIGHS CROWN (3) is a brilliant beginner from the mobile and led out before taking a trail when second to Ronerail under similar conditions two weeks ago. He is racing well and should be in a striking position throughout. SUNNY STONE (8) has been racing well enough in recent times to be considered as a minor place chance from his trailing draw. MASTER MAORI (6) bounced back to winning form last week but is a minor place chance only against this grade. He is much better drawn for this assignment and pushed to the lead when he won at Dubbo four starts back so he should take catching here. ONEDINS POCKETGIRL (4) will appreciate her best draw for some time and ran a good race at Penrith last outing. She was a winner at Penrith on July 02 and is one of the leading chances here. THE RAVENITE (7) ran into a smart pacer in Cee J P at Menangle last outing and has maintained a consistent form line recently so he is worth thought on an each way basis. ANVIL BLUEBOO (2) had little luck at Menangle last outing and has a consistent record so he could show up from his good draw. The former Victorian pacer BROKEN SPOKE (6) makes his local debut but is meeting a handy field from a wide draw here.
