A more-than-handy three year old filly, she won her fourth race for the season when sitting in the breeze and out-staying Van Celot Robyn here last week and is actually meeting easier at this CO level. MOVING IT (8) is a dual winning three year old who scored back-to-back successes here early last month, then was never a factor when caught out the back and third at Nyah before a battling third when close up from the second line behind Tommy The Gun here three weeks ago. EMERALD CHARM (7) ran his best race so far when making late ground for third at Horsham last week and drawn right behind this favourite, looks a must in multiples. Next best is THIRTEEN MONKEYS (5), who hasn’t had much luck here recently. SELECTIONS: JORDAN ASHLEIGH (1), Moving It (8), Emerald Charm (7), Thirteen Monkeys (5). RATINGS: 1 / 7, 8 / 5 / 9. YOURSMINEOURS (4) is a handy South Australian mare who’s still a maiden after 29 starts but has done well enough with Globe Derby placings at three of her latest four outings to indicate a breaking of her maiden status. TENANSIX (3) has been struggling in recent times but from bad alleys and in better races than this. He’s been placed five times this season, draws nicely and the Greg Cramp stable is on fire. OUR RAJA (6), who wasn’t far away at Horsham last time looks the other winning chance. SELECTIONS: NOVI SAD (10), Yoursmineours (4), Tenansix (3), Our Raja (6). RATINGS: 10 / 3, 4 / 6 / 2? She found the lead cheaply here last week but was outstayed this time by Jordan Ashleigh but it should be a different matter here. STING LIKE A BULL (8) has raced three times in this area for Greg Cramp for as many placings, the most recent when sitting in the breeze outside LOW DOWN (10) for second here last week. LOW DOWN (10) made it back-to-back victories on this circuit when following his come-from-behind success here a fortnight ago with a bold front running effort last week and has bright prospects of completing the hat trick. GEORGES LAD (4) was pushed back to last in the final circuit here last week before flying down the outside for a close fourth to LOW DOWN (10), and is an obvious improver who has each way claims. Runner up to the talented Cobargo Magic at Echuca three starts back, he was badly held up in a strong race when fourth in fast time at Terang, then outclassed but not disgraced in a strong Melton 4YO affair a fortnight ago. PACIFIC SHUFFLE (1) is a consistent mare who made late ground from the rear when fifth here last week and from the probable trailing position, looks this favourite’s main danger. WASHINGTONSFIRSTLADY (9) won her first race for a couple of years when finishing well from three back the pegs at cricket score odds here last week. She’s a handy mare when right and that win was encouraging. The query runner is STRIKE A LIFE (4), a three time winner this season who has his first run in this area for top local trainer Greg Cramp. He follows out a fast beginner and should be sitting just off the pace when they settle. OHOKA GEORGIA (6) completed a hat trick of placings when he led and ran third in a fast class affair behind Yucatchim here last week and although drawn wide, will appreciate the drop in grade. PENEQUITY (1) won four on end on this circuit before a luckless failure here two starts back, then drew the second line when a seven metre third here last week to MASTER WARATAH (7). She goes best in front and draws to be there. REBECCA DON (3) won seven races earlier this season but has been off the boil in recent times. She was placed at Nyah and Charlton at her first two runs back from a break, then sprinted sharply when recording a 1:58.8 in her last start Charlton victory a fortnight ago. NAVIGATOR JACK (4) showed good ability closer to Melbourne earlier this season, then landed some good bets at his first run in this area when finding the lead and winning easily in fast time here a fortnight ago. He draws better this time and will be fitter for that, his first run since March. TRINITA ROAD (2) is a consistent three year old who’s been placed in 11 of 19 this season, winning four of them. Successful here over NAVIGATOR JACK (4) early last month, he was then placed from the second line in strong races on this circuit before working hard in the breeze when fourth here last week. A speedy beginner, he looks well suited here from the alley over this sprint trip. SELECTIONS: MASCARPONE (9), Navigator Jack (4), Trinita Road (2), Rojen Cruz (5). RATINGS: 9 / 2, 4 / 5 / 8 / 11. He led all the way and slowed them up in that victory holding off Heathbern Diamond and YUCATCHIM (5). YUCATCHIM (5) made it two wins from four starts this time in when overpowering a gallant TRACK N TRACE (3) here last week and is always a chance in these races. He looks best of the front line brigade. TRACK N TRACE (3) has been sparingly raced in recent times and showed the benefit of a couple of runs this time in with a tough second from the breeze to YUCATCHIM (5) here last week. He’s close to another win. The Glenn Douglas trained BLADE OF GLORY (2) comes off three metro efforts at Tabcorp Park, Harold Park and Albion Park when not disgraced, and perhaps Mildura might be his place to win one. Daryl Douglas takes the drive on this ex-Kiwi, who’s won two three year old races this season and looks nicely graded in CO company. He hasn’t started since running third at this level at Bendigo nine weeks ago but should freshen nicely into this winnable sprint race. PERFECT FANTASY (3) is a fellow 3YO who’s also a dual winner this term, the most recent of those at Bendigo four starts back. She’ll be even further improved by those runs. That being said, she’s a brilliant beginner and in this small field, should soon be up with her main rivals, and whatever beats her will win. DELPHI ROSE (7) ran a big race when coming from the 30 metre back mark to find the lead and run down by Si Capisco at Bendigo two starts back before a battling sixth in a hot race there last week when caught in the breeze. This should suit. BARNEYS INVASION (5) has become a consistent squaregaiter in recent times and his third from the mobile when sitting outside the leader at Geelong last week was a good effort. That was this fellow’s fourth win on end and he’s obviously a metro horse in the making. AUBREY JAMES (2) was a winner here early last month and comes off a fast finishing Yarra Valley second, a luckless unplaced Cobram effort and a battling fifth here last week to ALDEBARAN SWANNEE (4) when unable to sprint quickly enough. He’ll get a softer trip this time from the pole and has strong claims. ROYAL STEEL (8) had been out of form before producing a sparkling 1:58.3 Bendigo victory over this trip last week where he worked to the lead and fought on well. He’s probably better than these when right and looks to be getting back to top form. STEVE MCQUEEN (12) is a six time winner this season who hasn’t started since failing when favourite at Moonee Valley six weeks ago. He draws awkwardly but is certainly up to these SELECTIONS: ALDEBARAN SWANNEE (4), Aubrey James (2), Royal Steel (8), Steve Mcqueen (12). RATINGS: 4 / 2 / 8, 12? / 3, 5 / 7, 9, 10. OMBRE OPERATEUR (9) has shown big improvement in two runs from a spell with a first up Bendigo second and mid-field finish in the Final of that race there last week when over racing. He’ll be fitter for two runs back and should settle better from the trial. They are the only two runners with any worthwhile form.
