This looks her chance of a breakthrough victory. TITILLATE (9) ran third in that Geelong affair where she did plenty of work in the run and battled on well to be beaten a metre at his first race start. Rate her highly. First starter STARLIGHT RYAN (2) (Conch Deville-Starlights Child) is a Carlo Corso trained colt whose dam was a top race mare. This fellow has been trialling well and draws for first up success. GIOIOSA IONICA (8) race her best race so far when coming from well back for second to Weary Pockets in a Breeders Crown Consolation at Tabcorp Park last weekend and is another who's close to breaking her maiden status. The other first starter is WHISPERING ALM (6) (Wind Cries Maori -- Classical Alm), a John Mamouney trained filly who went nicely when second in a recent Maryborough trial. He comes off a Geelong third to Taison where he sat mid field and was closing late. A three time winner from the mobile he looks nicely suited and is the one to beat. FLEETWOOD BLUE (7)is a talented mare who won for fourth race for the season when victorious from the mobile on Redwood day last month. She made mistakes at her next two before a mobile second at Geelong and a solid come from behind second at Maryborough last week. BARNEYS INVASION (3) had been racing in consistent form before following a Shepparton second with a down the track finish at Ballarat last weekend where he made an early mistake. A return to the mobile could be just what he needs, and he draws to be in the finish. JOULE COUNT (5) scored nicely at Horsham three starts back before being outclassed in a 4YO Breeders Crown Heat and Consolation at Tabcorp Park - this will be more to his liking. Each way chances to MONI BEA (2) and the unreliable WESTWOOD CASTLETON (6), who has more ability than these but hasn't been producing it. He led then surrendered to TIBUR FINALE (11) then used the sprint lane to run that fellow down and draws nicely again. The other heat was won by in all the way fashion by KEEPONSINGING (7), but he goes to an awkward draw this time. Runner up in that qualifier MY PACIFIC RAINBOW (8) did a good job when coming from the rear and beaten a nose, and she's an improving filly who will be sitting just off the pace from the trailing draw. TRUSCOTT CAM (2) worked hard from the second line to sit in the breeze when fifth in his heat, and this time as the likely leader, will go a lot better. Best of the other are KEEPONSINGING (7) and TIBUR FINALE (11) with LORD LANCELOT (1) JANSZOON (5) and PINAROO JILL (9) also in the mix. Ratings: 3/8/2/7,11/1,5,9. She draws nicely against beatable opposition and rates as the clear top pick. FRANCO SHUTTLE (7) has been placed recently at Shepparton, and from the breeze at Maryborough, then was outclassed in a Breeders Crown 4YO heat at Tabcorp Park. He's close to winning form and although drawn poorly, is sure to make his presence felt (engaged Shepparton Thursday). SAPPHIRE ISLAND (2) battled home best to beat Tasha The Basha at Terang, then was second in the final of that affair to that same horse a fortnight ago. She's in career best form and although up slightly in grade, may lead these for a long way. VILLAGE PATROL (8) won a similar race to this at Shepparton last month and flashed home late when a close second at Maryborough nine days ago, at his latest run. He completes a quartet of strong winning chances. Stablemates PEPPERELL JEWEL (6) and IM FLASH WITH CASH (11) are tough one paced performers with each way claims. STAR SCHEMA (9) looks the other possible winning hope. Ratings: 3/7/2,8/6,11/9. Suggested bet: : YOUR LUCKY DAY (3) to win 4 Garrard's Horse & Hound 8.02 1650m. $5000. WHAT AM I (6) is a talented gelding who won his second and third races for the season when sitting in the breeze at Bendigo at then at Yarra Valley before finding the class a bit hot in a strong Moonee Valley 3YO affair a fortnight ago. An unlucky fourth when narrowly beaten at Ballarat last weekend, he's retaining he form well and will be hard to hold out. KAMWOOD TITAN (3) led when a close second to the in-form Harry Bill at Bendigo a month ago when resuming, then was never a factor before making late ground to finish mid field behind stablemate Pickles Please at Maryborough nine days ago. He's ready to win and has the draw. CLOSE SHAVE LOMBO (10) is a three year old who's won four races this season and is dropping in grade from recent runs. He led when fourth at Ballarat last weekend and from a trailing draw this time, is likely to camp on them and produce a finishing burst. VENUS WILLIAMS (1) and LORNABELLE (5) are next best. He had the run of the race and used the sprint lane to win a Bendigo mobile sprint affair two runs back, then came from near the rear from this handicap when an impressive Geelong standing start winner ten days ago. PEPPERELL BEJING (2) is overdue a win. He won five races last season and although yet to salute in eleven tries this time in, comes off a hat trick of placings, an excellent Tabcorp Park fourth in a 4YO Breeders Crown Heat to Rohan Home, before weakening after sitting in the breeze in the consolation at Tabcorp Park last weekend. He goes best from the stand and draws perfectly. PICKLES PLEASE(4) was having his second run from a spell when finishing powerfully to win a Maryborough mobile last week, that following a close Bendigo third to WHEELERS HILL (9). A big improver since recently being taken over by Larry Eastman, he has strong claims here at his standing stand debut. HEATHVALE LAD (1) has good recent form at this level and draws to be in the finish, with good each way chances as well to honest mare WESTERN CONNECTION (3), MISTER MIRIAM (5) who won at Tabcorp Park and Shepparton before having no luck there last week; and MONICA CATHERINE (7) a recent Ballarat winner who ran second from the stand at Geelong a couple of runs back - her standing start debut. She looks better than these. GORGEOUS AN DIVINE (1) came from the rear for fourth to Dancewithagrin in the Breeders Crown Consolation at Tabcorp Park last weekend and will be a big improver here from the pole. HILTON BROMAC (6) showed ability when an all the way debut winner last week and will be improved, but her draw isn't as good this time. The same can be said for BEBOP (7) who hasn't finished further back than second in three runs so far, but is up in grade. TEEN DREAMS (9) flashed through late for third in that Breeders Crown Consolation eight days and she looks best of the others, with honourable mentions to WHODARESWINS(5) and NEVER WAVER LOMBO(8) Ratings: 10/1/6,7,9/5,8. She followed Moonee Valley 4YO placings with a solid come from behind success there six weeks ago, then was luckless in similar class at Melton before a close second to Macterra Boy in a 1.55.4 Bendigo sprint affair. She then led all the way in an impressive Breeders Crown Heat victory at Tabcorp Park before being carted out of the race at a vital stage when unplaced in last Sunday"s final. She's the probable leader here, or at worst a sprint laner - whichever way, she looks the winner. LOMBO ALLIANCE (5) had good form without winning last month and resumed from a break of five weeks when luckless at Maryborough nine days ago when heavily supported. A return to the front line will aid his cause. ARROGANT AL (6) was a longshot Moonee Valley winner last month, then caught wide in the final of that race at Tabcorp Park before an excellent fourth on that circuit to Arras there three weeks ago. On his home track here, he'll run a big race. MISS LAURA JANE (3) comes off a close second at Harold Park following on a couple of handy metro efforts at Tabcorp Park and Moonee Valley. She's well graded on her best form. Each way chances to MOHICAN PRINCE (2) who's won five races this season and had no luck last time; GOOD BYE (4) who grades well at this level and resumes off a good Tabcorp Park trial win; UPWARD EVER UPWARD (10), who didn't really fire in the final of the Tabcorp Park Cup last time but will find this easier; and MISTER RYHS (12), who rarely runs a bad race at this level. BEST ON CLASS: CLOSE SHAVE LOMBO (Race 4 No.10) tried to lead throughout when fourth at Ballarat last week but is more effective when he gains cover and he gets into tonight's race nicely with a concession claim. BEST ON VIDEO: FLEETWOOD BLUE (Race 1 No.7) missed valuable ground at the start and made up many lengths when an eye-catching second at Maryborough last outing. She switches back to the mobile start this evening so she should prove hard to beat. BEST ON RECORD: PEPPERELL BEIJING (Race 5 No.2) will appreciate a drop in class on his latest Breeders Crown efforts and incredibly, he has been placed in 10 of his 11 standing start performances so a forward showing is expected. BEST ON TRIALS: GOOD BYE (Race 7 No.4) has won two trials recently, the latest over The Gunstar at Tabcorp Park so he looks primed for a big effort first up. BEST ROUGHIES: VENUS WILLIAMS (Race 4 No.1) was shuffled back on the markers on her Australian debut and had no luck in securing a clear passage over the concluding stages. She is better drawn for this assignment and is a possible improver. MOHICAN PRINCE (Race 7 No.2) has a good turn of speed and is better drawn than his latest fifth in a 1.55.4 mile behind Macterra Boy. He won twice in succession back in June/July and he should run a forward race tonight. REGAL EQUATION (Race 8 No.3) can make mistakes on occasions but possesses a lot of ability and made up good ground at his latest Geelong sixth so he is worth an investment.
