He should lead comfortably over the sprint distance here and will go close. THIRTEEN MONKEYS (5) ran a good race at Nyah on Wednesday as he pushed forward in a fast early section to park on the outside of the leader and boxed on well for fourth. He is likely to end up without cover again tonight but is a definite place hope. GEORGES LAD (1) finished quickly for an eye-catching third to Harleken Wized at Mildura two starts back and is a strong Quinella chance, particularly if he can hold onto the position in behind the leader at the start. WASHINGTONS LEGACY (8) showed an abundance of early pace and tried to lead throughout when sixth (9m) to the smart filly Van Celot Robyn at Nyah on Wednesday. SELECTIONS: LOW DOWN (2), Thirteen Monkeys (5), Georges Lad (1), Washingtons Legacy (8) RATINGS: 2/ 1,5/ 8/ 3,7,9 SUGGESTED BET: LOW DOWN (2) to win 2 Working Man's Club 7.10 1790m. $2000. This race looks easier and he sprinted quickly from midfield to win at Mildura on August 13 so he is worth following here. THE LAST CRUSADER (1) finished fifth behind the promising pacer Sign Of Spring at Nyah on Wednesday and looks to be a strong each way chance from his likely position of being behind the leader HARLEKEN WIZED (2). UTURNMEON (3) finished fast when second to the good filly Van Celot Robyn last week and is a winning chance if she reproduces that effort. VINNIES JEANS (7) was resuming since December when he had no luck whatsoever at Nyah on August 18. He is likely to end up being three back on the markers here but should be finding the line nicely if he gains a clear passage in the straight. SELECTIONS: HARLEKEN WIZED (2), The Last Crusader (1), Uturnmeon (3), Vinnies Jeans (7) RATINGS: 2/ 1,3/ 7/ 8,9 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Roving Trifecta with 1 & 2 the rovers into 3,7,8,9 (Cost $20, which gives 83.33%) 3 Gurry & Associates 7.40 2190m. $2000. If anything, this race is easier and he is clearly the horse to beat. WHAT WILL BE (5) broke stride at the start, settled last and motored home for an eye-catching second at Nyah on Wednesday. She won at Mildura three starts back and looks to be one of the leading chances again here. VILLAGE KARMA (6) is widely drawn for her first start since June but won three races in succession at the beginning of her last campaign and has the ability to run a good race against this line up. DREAMS ARE REAL (8) returns to Mildura after a lengthy stay in Queensland. She hasn t started since a twelfth at the Gold Coast in June but will be fitter for a recent Mildura trial fourth and was placed three times on the Mildura circuit when she was last in Victoria so she is worth thought in multiple combinations. SELECTIONS: SPIRIT OF WALTON (2), What Will Be (5), Village Karma (6), Dreams Are Real (8) RATINGS: 2,5/ 6,8/ 1,7 SUGGESTED BET: SPIRIT OF WALTON (2) to win 4 Gurry & Associates 8.08 2190m. $2000. VAN CELOT ROBYN (1) has won three of her five Australian starts and looks very promising but she didn t perform up to her best form when she pushed forward at the start on August 06 and galloped at release point at her next outing so she might not be suited to being drawn on the pole position. PADDY MOREAU (5) was expertly driven by reinsman Jack O Bree when he gained the position behind the leader from a second row draw and dashed home to win at Nyah on Wednesday. That was his first win in 19 starts and he is rising in grade here but he did show enough ability last time to suggest that he should be competitive here. MOROCA s (7) chance of finishing in the best possible position depends on how well VAN CELOT ROBYN (1) gets away at the start. He had his chance at Nyah last week but is a minor place possibility. SELECTIONS: BECCASGEM (9), Van Celot Robyn (1), Paddy Moreau (5), Moroca (7) RATINGS: 1,9/ 5/ 3,7 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 1,9/ 1,5,9/ 1,3,5,7,9 (Cost $20, which gives 166%) 5 Tankard Dental 8.36 2190m. $2000. This event is more suitable and he should prove hard to beat. TOMMYS LITTLE SIS (8) usually hits the line strongly with the right trail forward and will find this race easier than her latest seventh to Fire It Up at Nyah. She was placed in the race won by Campbell Wallace at Mildura prior and is worth thought on an each way basis. STRIKE A LIFE (7) was placed behind Our Sand Fly (won Harold Park since) at Mildura two starts back then had little luck from a wide draw but only battled at Globe Derby. He is awkwardly drawn but could fill a place. OUR BUDDY HOLLY (5) ran home strongly in several of his attempts towards the end of last season and this race would be slightly easier. She worked hard to lead and was gunned down by NIGHT OF THE BALL (8) at Nyah last week but should find the lead comfortably tonight so she is capable of turning the tables. CHEER ME (1) lacks early dash but is likely to end up trailing the leader PRINCESS XENA (2) in this event. She has been placed in three of her past five starts and rates as an each way chance. IM DANGEROUS DAN (4) has had 15 starts since his latest victory at Globe Derby but was runner up behind What Will Be under similar conditions three starts back and is not without a chance. NIGHT OF THE BALL (8) followed inside runs throughout and got up to win via the sprint lane at Nyah on Wednesday. DREAMING FELLA (5) led throughout to win at Mildura on July 24 and will appreciate a drop in class on his past few outings. He is a tough type and is likely to make his presence felt. TRACK N TRACE (6) settled in the second half of the field from his trailing draw and made a move from the 1100m when a brave second to Fire It Up at Nyah on Wednesday. He has worked hard at his past three attempts and deserves to break through for a win. DUCHESS MARGARITZA (6) is yet to be placed in seven starts to date but finished reasonably well for fourth to Van Celot Robyn at Nyah last week. She is widely drawn but is a strong Quinella chance in this event. KANINE KANDY (1) is a fast beginner from the mobile and tried to lead throughout when a tiring tenth to Van Celot Robyn last outing. She was placed at Mildura five starts back and is a minor place chance again from the inside draw. Fitter and ideally drawn she will take beating. MALS IMAGE (6) is very honest and was placed at six of eleven starts last season. He did it tough outside the leader last start at Ballarat and has strong claims here. BUTTON BRIGADE (7) has the wide draw but has been placed at his past three. Include in multiples. COPPER REEF (9) has been freshened up and did win a stand in slow time at Tabcorp Park five starts back. Each way. A big watch on UNDENIED (12) whose manners have let him down and he has done it tough in a couple of starts. Place chances to RIVER FLAT (3), DEVILS RAYNE (4), EMERALD CRUSADER (5) and MISS CATHYWEATHY (10). SELECTIONS: VIVA LA ROSA (1), Mals Image (6), Button Brigade (7), Copper Reef (9).
