She's been one of our top fillies and mare all the way through her age group with her best win on this circuit being in a heat of the Breeders Crown back in August. From the draw, she should be able to muster enough speed to sit behind likely leader CAPTAIN BROMAC (5) with the sprint lane her ally. CAPTAIN BROMAC (5) is a promising ex-Kiwi who won twice in all the way fashion here from the stand, then led all the way to win a Geelong mobile before weakening after a tough trip from his handicap mark here last time. He rates well against these. KALYPSON KID (10) is a hard hitting gelding who's won 12 of 33. He did all the work to win the final of a feature race during the Mildura carnival back in April, then was put aside after two luckless Moonee Valley efforts and is resuming into a winnable race. MONARCO MISS (2) is a lightly raced six year old mare who' s won 8 of 20. She finished well to score at Geelong a couple of months back, then was first up when blowing away a handy field there ten days ago. From this draw, she can complete the hat trick. That quartet rate clearly ahead of ULTIMATE DEAL (4), who's won twice here (when leading) from his last four starts; MCLLHATTON (6), a recent Ballarat winner who weakened after a tough trip here last time; and his stablemates IP GAME OF CHANCE (8), who resumes off a Ballarat trial win, and SHOW ME AMBER (11), a handy mare who can win this with the right trip. BELOKA DIAMOND (7) and SIRNELSON OF ASCOT (9) have place chances at least. Ratings: 1/2,5,10?/4/6,8,11/7,9. Suggested bet: LADY OCTAVIA (1) to win. 8 SEW-Eurodrive Pace 10.12 1720m. $5000. In the top stable of Geoff Webster, he ran a couple of good races when first coming here from SA and is resuming at a winnable level. IAM SQUIGGLES (1) had the run of the race when third at Geelong last time and was a winner there back in August. He looks nicely suited from the pole, especially over the sprint journey. PARTY MAKER (4) was an improver when showing gate speed then taking a sit behind all the way winner Sign Of Spring for second at Nyah last weekend and this Lance Justice trained gelding isn't far off a win. NOVI SAD (3) ran third in that race after working to the breeze mid-race, that following a solid second at Mildura where he led. BIG BOY RAMA (9) joins John Justice but hasn't raced since running second at Harold Park a couple of years back. He should be kept safe. Ratings: 6/1/4/3/9?/2?10. He hasn't won for more than a year but was placed eight times last season and was luckless in a much stronger claimer at Geelong ten days ago when badly held up and flashing home late. From the draw, he'll be prominent most of the way. BECKY CEE (6) is another who hasn't won for a long time but she's been placed twice recently in this class, those efforts being at Kilmore from the breeze and when running home well for third in a fast 56.8 final half at Maryborough last week. LILY MAY (10) is a consistent mare who doesn't win overmuch. She was successful here early last month in one of these races, then luckless twice before sitting in the one-one for a Kilmore second (BECKY CEE (6) third). Caught on the pegs at Geelong last time, she was forced back to last before making late ground for third to The Urban Legend. THE PIPER (3) has disappointed in three runs for Jayne Davies but didn't have much luck at Warragul and may be an improver. ALS GIFT (4) ran a battling fifth in that Warragul affair and this looks an easier race. WESTERN OUTLAW (7), ADVANCED CROSSING (9) and INDI GLOVES (11) are also in the mix. Ratings:1/6,10/3,4,7,9,11. JUSTACHANDON (11) comes off seconds here and Kilmore, a Geelong fourth in strong company and a last start third at this level here a fortnight ago when making good ground. LEFT ONE EYE OUT (12) led all the way to beat JUSTACHANDON (11) at Kilmore, then came from well back when beating that same mare here before making big ground in the final circuit for fifth here last week. There hasn't been much between them in each of those three runs and won't be again. KEYSTONE CROWN (7) ran second here before becoming held up at a vital stage when fourth at Warragul last Monday. She's an honest mare who strikes a winnable race. CHERRY SWEET (2) comes off back-to-back fourths here at this level, the latest when battling on okay and a 19 start maiden who's racing in career best form, she gets her chance to break through. He draws perfectly for his return and should be hard to beat. LITTLE ELF (5) and WESTERN RUSTLER (6) fought out the finish of a similar race to this at Geelong last week where WESTERN RUSTLER (6), who was debuting, used the sprint lane to out- finish his rival who'd led until the closing stages. There'll be improvement in both of them as LITTLE ELF (5) was having his first run since back-to-back Ballarat victories in August and WESTERN RUSTLER (6) will benefit from his first racing experience. LIFES JUST ACE (10) came from miles back to win first up on the tight Ararat circuit three weeks ago and didn't have much go his way in the final of that race there last time. He'll enjoy this more spacious track. FLIGHT TO MIKINOS (7) is an honest performer who draws wide but has each way claims along with first starter RENATE CHRISTA (9) (Christian Cullen -- Lady Of My Life), a Geoff Webster trained filly who's been runner up in recent trials at Geelong and here. He made it five wins on end when winning in a then track record 1:56.8 for this trip here back in July, and didn't have much go his way at his last run before a spell when fifth at the Valley. He resumes off impressive trial victories at Geelong and here last Monday night where he finished off in 57.1. His main rival here is talented ex-Kiwi MISTER GNP (8), who's won three of four since coming here. Successful first up at Kilmore, he then led most of the way to win on this circuit in late August before running third to Make Mine Cullen here in a strong four year old affair six weeks ago. At his only run since, he missed early trouble and got through to lead when an easy and fast winner over the sprint journey here last Friday. That pair rate clearly ahead of ELRAE NIGHT (7), who followed a death seat Ararat second with a tough third to Lady Octavia here twelve days ago when wide in the last lap and fighting on well. Also in the mix are HEATHVALE LAD (2), who's been going well in stands with a recent Geelong victory, then mobile second at Yarra Valley and a third from the stand here last week to Veranjee; and PARWAN ROCKET (3), who led and battled on well when a close third at Maryborough last week. COHABIT (4) and TICKLE THE FALCON (5) have place claims at least. Ratings:6/8/7/2,3/4,5. A recent addition to the Peter Tonkin stable, he's shown improvement with every recent run and followed his all the way Ballarat victory with a luckless Maryborough fourth before that last start fast finishing Geelong success over the unsuitable sprint trip. MAD MACCA (11) trailed wide from the rear to win narrowly but well at Cobram three starts back, then was outclassed in a 4YO affair here behind Make Mine Cullen before running into traffic behind Mister GNP here last week. This is a big drop in class for him. EL CIGARO LOMBO (8) is a former top youngster who won eight races as a two and three year old but hasn't scored since a Moonee Valley success in August last year. He's been placed in four of six since resuming and made late ground when a 15 metre third to VILLAGE DEPUTY (10) at Geelong last week. MAZARAHTI (9) is better known as a front runner -- he won easily in all the way fashion at Cranbourne three starts back, then was caught wide and wasn't far away at Ballarat before breezing it when fifth at Maryborough last week. From this draw, he should get a soft run just off the pace. Each way chances to FEARLESS MADDI (2), who draws better than when fifth here last time, along with stablemate MAGNE (4), SILENI (5) and PEPPERELL BEIJING (7). Ratings:10/11/8/9/2,4/5,7. SOD BUSTER (9) is a lightly raced six year old who's only had six starts and won four of them. A Maryborough winner in December 2007 (56.7 home from the breeze) he wasn't seen again until coming from last in the back straight to blow away a moderate restricted field here a fortnight ago. He'll be all the better for that run and from this trailing draw should settle closer. PATS ACE (8) has only raced three times for a luckless second here, a Kilmore third when wide in the last lap, and a tough CO success here a fortnight ago where he sat in the breeze before racing away in the home straight. He's improving with every run. CHRISTISIMO (7) is a talented filly who made it three on end when following Echuca and Cobram successes with a fast finishing Shepparton victory over winners since Franco Shuttle and Vice Operative. She sat in the one-one and found Matai Zinga too strong here last week but outclassed the others and with the advantage of the front line draw, could settle well in front of her two major rivals. Her stablemate COMMANDER CULLEN (10) worked hard in the early stages then only battled when sixth here last week but will be driven more conservatively this time from the trailing draw and has a rough chance of upsetting the fancied trio.
