He resumed from a long spell when making ground from well back for second to all the way winner MIGHTY SUPER POWER (11) in his heat of this race here ten days ago, will be fitter for that outing, and has the services of Daryl Douglas. PEPPERELL JEWEL (2) won the other heat in all the way fashion where he crawled in the lead and out-battled a deathseating DESICCATOR (8). He draws to be in front once more and may prove hard to run down. ALL THE MONEY (6) came from well back and was wide in the last lap when favourite and charging home for third in that heat and is an improver who'll also be prominent at the business end. DESICCATOR (8) was having his first run for a couple of months when runner up in his heat and will be improved by his tough effort. Best of the others are handy filly CENTENARY GLAD (9), who was also first up when fourth last time; and heat winner MIGHTY SUPER POWER (11), who led all the way but isn't as well served this time from the awkward draw. He's won 3 of his 16 starts with 8 placings and scored back-to-back victories, here and from the breeze at Kilmore back in August, before a last start second here to The Evangelist early last month. He's trialled well for his return. TORADO FELLA (8) was a Shepparton winner from three starts late last season, then at his first run for seven weeks broke twice in the run when down the track behind Pats Ace at Tabcorp Park three weeks ago. He's since won back-to-back trials at Melton and looks nicely suited against these. GLENBURN ROCK (1) has been placed in four of his last five starts and showed up well when third from the breeze to Off The Cuff Lombo in a strong race on Kilmore Cup day last Sunday. He's overdue a breakthrough and has the perfect draw. CANOMODINE (10) won a 3YO affair at Horsham this time last year, then wasn't seen again until running third as a $1.40 favourite here three weeks ago where he became stirred up after causing a false start and raced fiercely in the lead. His subsequent effort was a Terang fourth where he drew awkwardly on the second line and wide in the last lap. He has the talent and will be improved by his two runs this time in. Best of the others are MASSIMO MISS (2), who battled on well when a debut second at Terang ten days ago; and COUNT OF ROWAN (5), who found trouble when favourite and fourth at Warragul last time. PARTY MAKER (3), THREES A CLOUD (4) and SCALA KNIGHT (6) are also in the mix. Ratings:9/1,8/10/2,5/3,4,6. Suggested bet: THREE BLADES (9) to win. 3 Samsung Trotters Handicap 8.02 2710m. $5500. She debuted when winning from the breeze at Maryborough early last month, then was runner up twice here before an all the way Tabcorp Park victory, then found the front and ran fast time when winning on this circuit ten days ago. GENTLEMANS HONOUR (4) is a lightly raced five year old who's won 7 of 20. Third to Skyvalley in the Breeders Crown 4YO Final at Tabcorp Park in August, he had a month off before scoring from the breeze at Kilmore and has since led all the way to win at Tabcorp Park and saluted at Ararat when working around them from his 30 metre handicap to find the lead at the bell. CARLETONHILL (1) is an honest Peter Manning trained four year old who won at Terang then was placed twice in good races before leading when favourite and fourth in a Tabcorp Park mobile two runs back. He began badly and was never a threat here last time. TAMSYN ELLE (5) ran a solid second to You So And So at Cranbourne last week and is always a chance at this level. The other trio have place claims at least. Ratings:2,4/1/5/3,6,7. Suggested bet: Trifecta 2 and 4 to win and run second with the field for third. 4 Panasonic Pace 8.33 2200m. $5500. He draws behind the likely leader and should settle just off the pace. VILLAGE DEPUTY (6) is an improving type who's recently won races here and at Geelong. From his second line draw, he got well back at Tabcorp Park last weekend before finishing strongly for a second to all the way winner Magne and with Gavin on board this time, looks a strong winning chance from his front row draw. BECKY CEE (2) hasn't won for a long time but is working into some good form. Recent placings at Kilmore and Maryborough were followed by a solid Tabcorp Park claiming fourth last weekend when beaten under a length by INDI GLOVES (7) after doing it hard to find the lead. She should be in front again and will give plenty of cheek. INDI GLOVES (7) came off solid sectionals to win that claimer last week in what was a welcome return to winning form and he has a chance here. Also in the mix are BIT OF COURAGE (5), who gave plenty of cheek when he led and then handed up to Mister Zion and ran second to that fellow last week at Melton; and VILLAGE CHARM (8), who had good form before disappointing when only plodding from the one-one when favourite in a similar race to this last week. He made it seven wins from 13 starts, the last four of those on end, when a tough mobile winner here ten days ago and looks suited here as the winner from his only try at the stand. TRIPLE VANCE (8) finished a close and luckless fourth in a strong Moonee Valley standing start affair three weeks ago, then ran on well after not being put into the race when third in a Nyah mobile last time. He rates well against these. JOHNORAMA (10) has a good standing start record and he impressed with a tough death seat second at Terang last time. WINGSOFANEAGLE (11), who gets Gavin, comes off placings here and Ararat, and as the winner of two standing start races must be respected. Each way chances to ELRAE NIGHT (2), BIG BAD SHADY (3) and DARK DUNCAN (6), who's up in grade on two recent mobile victories. Ratings:9/8/10/11/3,6/2/1,5. He was having only his fourth start and brought up back-to-back Tabcorp Park victories in that race where he sat mid-field on the pegs and out-finished Sod Buster who'd gone for home at the 400 metre mark. A return to the front line and his partnering with Gavin Lang are icing on the cake. CHRISTISIMO (4) is a talented filly who won three on end before a gallant Tabcorp Park 3YO second to the in-form Matai Zinga a fortnight ago, but she was never a factor when unplaced behind PATS ACE (2) last week. Expect her to take up a more forward position (eng. Tabcorp Park last night). TELLMESOMETHINGOOD (11) finished well to win the other heat, which was run here ten days ago and from the awkward draw has each way claims along with MISSEINSTEIN (6), who was first up for a long time when running home solidly for second in that heat. An honest seven year old gelding who's had a 113 starts for 20 wins and 30 placings, his form is on the rise. He has been sparingly raced over the past couple of months and he ran second three times on end after a Horsham win in June, then led when fourth to Charleys Dream at the Valley before absolutely scorching home from the rear at Tabcorp Park three weeks ago when a nose second to Ultimate Deal. MCLLHATTON (1) led from gate six when scoring here three starts back before an unplaced death seat Tabcorp Park effort and luckless down-the-track finish there last week. He draws to be in front, a position from where he races best. IRISH SAILOR (9) won second up in all the way fashion at Mildura, then was favourite at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago where he led and was outsprinted in the home straight by claimer Mister Douglas. He won seven of eleven last season but it's problematical as to whether he's back yet to that level. VILLAGE GLOW (2) hasn't had much luck in recent starts and has the speed to be prominent from the good alley. He has each way claims along with WAINGARO GRANDVIEW (4), a Cranbourne winner last month who ran an excellent Tabcorp Park third to Get The Monet two starts back; MIAMI ROCKET (5), who won races at Tabcorp Park and Harold Park before not being put into the race at Cranbourne last time; and NO ENCORE (6), who's been placed recently in metro races at Tabcorp Park and Moonee Valley. TIBUR POWER (8) is also in the mix. Ratings: 10/1/9/2,4,5,6/8. Suggested bet: MISTER RHYS (10) to win. 8 Flying Horse Bistro Pace 10.30 1710m. $5500. He beat a moderate field first up at Ararat a month ago, then came from the rear when third to Sod Buster in a restricted race at Tabcorp Park before a luckless third at Ararat to Sterita. It's his latest run that made people stand up and take notice where he worked out of the gate to lead at Cranbourne last Saturday night and it took long odds-on Hollywood Bromac the length of the home straight to run him down at the end of a 57.2 last half. He looks the clear top pick. SEVEN NATIONS (6) was having her first run since last December and first for David Murphy when finding splits in the home straight to score impressively at Terang nine days ago and her wide draw won't be that much of a problem in this small field. HERECOMES KENNY (2) looked good when coming from the rear to win at Cranbourne a fortnight ago but was restrained to the rear and not put into the race when an odds--on favourite and fourth in the final of that affair to Franco Shuttle on that circuit last weekend. A more aggressive drive is likely this time from the good alley. JILLIBY HERBIE (3), is a battling type who had every chance when beaten a head by rising talent Extricate at Terang last time and he looks reasonably well graded. Best of the other pair is RUGGED PRINCE (1), a one-paced gelding who has enough gate speed to be prominent here from the pole over the sprint trip. Ratings: 5/2,6/3/1. Suggested bet: THE RED OPAL (5) to win. Q4 ALL THE BEST BEST ON TIMES: PATS ACE (Race 6 No.2) Peeled off a scintillating 57.4 final half winning impressively at Tabcorp Park last start and he is on the way up. BEST ON CLASS: MISTER RHYS (Race 7 No. 10) This guy has won 20 races and judging on his fast finishing second at Tabcorp Park last start he hasnt finished adding to that impressive tally. BEST ON VIDEO: ALL THE MONEY (Race 1 No. 6) He pelted home from last on the turn here last time in a fast final quarter and from his front row draw tonight he should position up closer to the speed. BEST ON RECORD: IM SAFELY HOLME (Race 5 No. 9) This lightly raced six year-old has won seven of 13 and is shooting for five on end tonight. BEST ON TRIALS: THREE BLADES (Race 2 No. 9) He hasnt raced for eight weeks but he did trial nicely here last Sunday and he has a beaut-trailing draw. BEST ROUGHIE: TIBUR POWER (Race 7 No. 8) He didnt have the best of luck at Tabcorp Park last time and he has a rough show with the likelihood of him getting a cheap run on the pegs.
