The handicap shouldn't worry him in this small field. ALABAMA APOLLO (1) is working up to a win. He had the run of the race when third to Star Wagon at Warragul a fortnight ago, then covered ground in the final circuit when beaten six metres into third place by TWOTTER PECK (9) at Maryborough last Sunday -- he meets that fellow on ten metres better terms. CHIPMONT LAD (6) won the Redwood among his four victories last season but he looked extremely disappointing when mid-field first up at Terang a fortnight ago. He's better than these when right and big improvement should be expected. REDLINE FEVER (5) is an honest type who was a Maryborough winner early last month and placed at Ballarat and Tabcorp Park. He hasn't had much luck at his latest two outings. SELECTIONS: TWOTTER PECK (9), Alabama Apollo (1), Chipmont Lad (6), Redline Fever (5). RATINGS:9/1,6/5/8/7. A Pacific Fella -- Motoring Walbro four year old mare trained by Wayne Ronan and related to four winners, she recently won a Ballarat trial and debuts against beatable opposition. GIRLS GOT RHYTHM (7) is a dual winner who's finished mid-field from awkward draws at her latest two outings. She positions wide again but is dropping in grade. PARTYHANOVER (10) has raced once for a battling third from behind the lead here last week. She'll be better for the outing. MACH FOUR (8) ran fourth from the death in that same race and will improve on his two starts to date. SELECTIONS: GO LUSH (9), Girls Got Rhythm (7), Partyhanover (10), Mach Four (8). On the strength of an impressive trial effort, he was backed into favouritism but again made a mistake when resuming at Shepparton a fortnight ago. It's not a strong race and he'll win this if he trots all the way. RAISE AN EYEBROW (9) resumed from a spell when wide in the last lap and a solid fifth here last week. He'll be fitter and is dropping in grade. SPANNERINTHEWORKS (5) had the run of the race when a close fourth in a restricted race at Tabcorp Park recently and he may be finding the form that won him a race at Cranbourne back in July. He recently beat RENATE CHRISTA (3) in a Kilmore trial and grades better than these. PANORAMA GRAND (6) is a talented youngster who won races at Charlton, Tabcorp Park (1:56.4) and Bendigo before going for a short break. Heavily supported from an awkward draw first up at Bendigo last week, he did a power of work before finding the breeze at the bell and although flat on the home turn, battled on solidly for his third placing. He has gate speed, will be better for that run and this time draws the front. RENATE CHRISTA (3) was luckless when debuting at Tabcorp Park a couple of weeks ago, then finished well for a nose second to Ninna Jasper in a 1:57.8 sprint affair there last weekend. She draws well and is ready to win. The only other winning chance is COVERED IN INK (5), a Maryborough winner as an early two year old who resumes off a slow Ballarat trial win. She hasn't started since failing here on New Year's Eve last year but in that trial, fought on well when second to subsequent Melton winner Mister Zion and from the pole in this winnable race, looks hard to beat. BREENYS TROUBLE (6) is an honest Peter Tonkin trained gelding who hasn't been far away in recent runs. He looks extremely well graded here with a claim for promising youngster Rhys Nicholson and is due to improve on his last start Bendigo fourth when a luckless favourite. BECKY CEE (3) is overdue a win. She was hammered in the lead when fourth in a Tabcorp Park claimer a fortnight ago, then surprisingly handed up mid-race to Village Deputy at Ballarat last weekend and was unable to run that fellow down. He draws to be straight in front once more and the opposition here is no stronger. LOVE YOU CYPRUS (9) ran third at Tabcorp Park three starts back and hasn't had much go her way in either run since. She should be sitting just off the pace and can run by these with a soft trip. Returning from a year off for new trainer Geoff Webster, she'll probably beat these if anywhere near right. VIATROSS (5) took 24 starts to break through, which he did at Kilmore in August , and has subsequently won races at Cranbourne and Yarra Valley, all of those victories from outside the leader. Forget his last start Tabcorp Park unplaced effort behind Mister GNP when luckless. LITTLE MISS FIRE (10) won and was placed in two starts late last season, then ran an excellent first up third Tabcracker at Maryborough three weeks ago before galloping after the start here last week. A clean getaway should see her in the finish. Ex-Kiwi YUL BRUNNER (2) worked hard to the breeze when a solid first up Cranbourne winner a fortnight ago and draws nicely in this stronger race. SELECTIONS: RIVERBOAT ROSIE (3), Viatross (5), Little Miss Fire (10), Yul Brunner (2). RATINGS: 3/2,5,10/8,9. One of our top three year olds last season, he was a tough first up second to Off The Cuff Lombo here three weeks ago, then wasn't given much hope wen favourite in the final of that race on Kilmore Cup day , when settling at the rear and flashing home when the race was over. He'll be much closer here in this small field and shouldn't have much trouble in handling his opposition. ALOTOFTROUBLE (5) has been runner up at his latest three outings, they being behind Hezaliner at Warragul, Yul Brunner at Cranbourne , and at Horsham last week when favourite and making two moves. A 15 start maiden, he's not far off a victory. Stablemate PARTY MAKER (3) ran fourth in a strong Ballarat Affair last time and he looks the only other possible winning chance.
