The winner of 10 of his 33 starts, he came from last to win a strong 3YO affair here back at the end of July, then was luckless at the Valley before a last start second at Kilmore to Sarum Prince eleven weeks ago where he led and was cut down late by that talented performer. He ll run a bold race from the pole. STERLISH (7) was an impressive standing start winner at Kilmore two starts back, then a beaten favourite here last week when well back and wide in the final circuit from his second line standing start draw before motoring late for third. He looks better suited in this mobile affair and is a promising type. MY GOLD ART (9) won at Cranbourne and Bendigo before sitting wide when mid-field here a month ago, then was off the track for the last 1200 when a close third at Bendigo at his latest run. He ll settle just off the pace from this good trailing draw. Each way chances to BADLANDS CHIEF (2), PERFECT PORTRAIT (3), former top Tasmanian youngster MAKE A MEMORY (8) who s first up for Lisa Miles; and ALDEBARAN SWANNEE (12). Ratings:1/7,9/8?/2?312/11. A talented mare, she s won twice here in recent times, was cut down late after leading by the in-form Luminous Lombo at Maryborough two runs back, before being given little chance after settling at the rear here last week from the second line. She draws to use her gate speed this time. TORBEN (8) was a multiple winner in SA before returning to Victorian racing for an outstanding third to Mister Anthony on Kilmore Cup day a couple of weeks back when wide in the final circuit and beaten just over a length. He draws to get a softer trip this time. Ex-Kiwi JACCKA SANDY (1) has an outstanding record in this country. He won eight races last season including the Tontine Final in June, but hasn t stared since a tough Kilmore victory in late July. He s trialled okay and has the draw. BY THE SWORD (3) is crying out to win a race on this circuit -- he comes off a solid third here and a tough fourth from the stand on this circuit last week. Ratings:4/1,3,8/5,10. He did plenty in the run when winning a 4YO affair here four starts back, then disappointed slightly when an odds-on favourite and third at that level here to Mister Zion; worked hard in the breeze when a narrow winner of a 4YO here a fortnight ago, then battled on well when taken to the breeze mid-race and far too good for a handy standing start field at Kilmore last time. WAINGARO GRANDVIEW (9) ran a brave second here last week to stablemate Franco Ambassador where he set a solid speed in the lead and was cut down on the line in a 56.3 last half. He ll be sitting just off the pace this time and is sure to be running on at the business end. OUR CULLEN (7) looked good when second up and an all the way Maryborough winner a fortnight ago before disappointing slightly when wide in a fast last circuit when fifth at Ballarat last weekend. He s a talented gelding who should be now fully wound up after three runs from a spell. OUR SAND FLY (2) and MONARCO MISS (6) look next best. Ratings:3/9/7/6/2/4,5/8,11. He was returning from a break when luckless and a first up fourth here a month ago, then sat in the breeze to win at Cranbourne before working wide to the breeze when weakening into fifth as a $1.40 favourite here a fortnight ago. On reflection, he was way under the odds in that race being a C2 horse in MO company, and back to restricted 4YO company here, should benefit from the big class drop. WIZARD OF SPEED (6) has won four of seven this preparation. Runner up twice in 4YO races to top mare Make Mine Cullen here in September, he was off the scene for five weeks before leading all the way to score impressively at Yarra Valley on Melbourne Cup day, then repeating the dose in the final of that affair there last week. STERITA (8) has won four of five this time in, leading all the way in most of them. She ran a shocker at Terang two starts back but bounced back well to score there last time and should sprint home well from this trailing draw. Each way chances to OUR ARCHANGEL (1), SLIP MAHONE (2), NATIONAL SERVICE (3) and JACCKA FELIX (9). Ratings:4/6,8/1,2,3,9/5/7. ALBERT JACCKA (10) is the class runner -- he ran some terrific races against better than these last season but hasn t been sighted since running fourth at Bendigo in July. He gets in nicely with a claim for racecaller and handy percentage driver Adam Crettenden. TROJAN LUCK (12) disappointed after finding the lead in the Maryborough Cup last time but his metro form prior to that was first class. From this alley, he ll probably be around them to find the breeze when the pace goes off, and he races well when driven that way. VILLAGE PUNGEE (8) was an improver when coming from near last for third in a similar race to this here a fortnight ago before finishing well when friendless in the betting here last week. BELOKA DIAMOND (9) ran a nice race when second here two starts back before finding trouble in a stand here last week and she has claims along with LOMBO ALLIANCE (6), SPIDER NELSON (7), MR CLANCY (11) and FRANCO AMBASSADOR (13). HOT NIGHT IN PARIS (1) is also in the mix if driven with a sit -- he wasn t when well supported, leading, and dropping out to run last at Ballarat last week. Ratings:10,12/1,6,7,8,9,11,13/5. Prior to that, he d impressed winning first up here over this trip with a 56.1 last half and will be even fitter for those two outings. TELLMESOMETHINGOOD (2) finished well from back in the field to win consecutive Ballarat races late last month, then was caught wide in the last lap and not far away when a handy and luckless fourth on that circuit last weekend. He draws nicely and although eligible for easier races, has the ability and draw. THE MARKSMAN (8) had his winning streak snapped when luckless from a back line draw here last week, but he ll settle a lot closer this time and has each way claims. The winner of 11 of 19, he has a touch of class about him. TRIPLE VANCE (12) has won 16 of 48 and has been luckless in all three runs since resuming, the most recent of those when charging home from near last for a two metre second to Johnorama in a Ballarat stand a fortnight ago -- Johnorama franking that form with an excellent victory here last week. He was resuming from a break when badly held up and charging home late for a luckless third to NOTASWETHORT (7) here last week, will be fitter and returns to a front line draw. SINGASONGASIXPENCE (1) ran a giant race for fourth to stablemate Ohoka Nevada in the Kilmore Cup a couple of weeks ago, then was outclassed in but not disgraced in The Legends here behind Melpark Major. He has gate speed and draws to use it. VERANJEE (5) stormed home from near last to win from a 20 metre handicap in a stand here a month ago, then ran a battling fifth in the Maryborough Cup. He s a much better horse from the mobile and has an excellent each way chance. THE GUNSTAR (2) won here two starts back, then finished on strongly for third at his latest run, here a month ago. He draws to be in the finish. Chances also to BARACHIAS (4), a recent winner here but luckless last week; NOTASWETHORT (7), who took short cuts in his fast finishing victory here last week; MISTER GRIZZLY (9), who showed up well in last week s "Legends" and drops in grade, while old timer STING LIKA BEE (11), the Hunter Cup winner of a couple of seasons back, will be improved by his luckless albeit disappointing first up run here a month ago, his first run since January last year. An Alexandra Park winner back in July, she scored first up at Geelong, then led most of the way from her ten metre mark here before an arrogant victory in the Kilmore Trotters Cup last time when out-finishing a similar field to what she faces here. RONERAIL (10) is the class runner but hasn t started since running third from a back mark to Acacia Ridge here in August. Prior to that, he was beaten a head by Skyvalley after a wide last lap on this circuit at the end of July, and that s as close as any horse has got to Skyvalley in recent times. He resumes off a fast backmark Geelong trial victory last Monday night. DREAM A MOMENT (1) goes best when able to lead and draws to be there. She finished well to win the Nyah Trotters Cup a month ago before a solid fourth to HEYZEAL (6) at Kilmore, was down the track when favourite here after that, then closed strongly for third to Skyvalley here last week. She s much better suited here under handicap conditions. LA MOSCA (9) made good ground for third to HEYZEAL (6) in the Kilmore Trotters Cup, then had the run of the race when out-finishing IN PURSUIT (8) here a fortnight ago in the "George Gath". IN PURSUIT (8) has since run a brave second to Skyvalley here last week after adopting catch me if you can tactics and he looks nicely suited against these. EARL OF MOT (4) is the other main winning chance with PEPPERELL DANCER (3) the query -- he won nicely first up here in September but hasn t really fired in four runs since. Ratings: 6/1,10?/8,9/4/3. ELRAE NIGHT (8) led and battled on well when second to the in-form Luminous Lombo at Yarra Valley last Monday and looks nicely suited to claimers. MISTER DOUGLAS (7) was a surprise winner of an M1 affair here three starts back before a battling claiming fifth at Kilmore, then a solid fourth in a strong race here last week.
