She was placed in both Semi Final and Final of the Vicbred 3YO here back in May, both behind Broadways Best, and resumed positively when leading all the way and finishing off in 56.1 for an easy Tabcorp Park country front victory last weekend. From this trailing draw, she ll settle just off the pace and can either sit back or go forward if need be. MENDELICO (10) was narrowly beaten by DAZED AND CONFUSED (11) at Tabcorp Park three starts back, then circled them early to find the lead when an easy winner there a fortnight ago before a regulation all the way victory at Stawell last Sunday. She s been a big improver this term and can go right on with it. DAZED AND CONFUSED (11) was runner up twice here, then behind Mister Anthony at Kilmore before flashing home from well back to beat MENDELICO (10) here three weeks ago. She draws awkward but has that touch of class about her. That trio rate well ahead of sit/sprint mare SEWINYAFACE (1), who draws to do just that. Each way chances to NAKASAKI MAGOO (3), LUCKNOW MONICA (4), BELOKA DIAMOND (6) and TWIRLING (7). Ratings:9/10/11/1/3,4,6,7. An underrated Chris Lang trained gelding, he looks ideally suited. DREAM A MOMENT (6) ran an FFA third to Skyvalley at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago, then handed up the lead to In Pursuit when just failing to run that fellow down in a blistering 27.9 last split at Tabcorp Park last week. She has gate speed and as the likely leader, will be mighty hard to run down. CILLAS EARL (7) finished strongly to win at Bendigo two starts back, then covered plenty of ground when a solid third in the Stawell Trotters Cup last Sunday. He s a tough gelding with each way claims. That trio rate well ahead of SUNDONS PRIDE (3), who had good form at Globe Derby back in June and is resuming; SOSOCLASSY (4), who sat in the breeze when second in a country front race at Tabcorp Park last weekend; and handy performers TAMSYN ELLE (5), MONTROSE KID (10) and YENTLS STAR (12). He sat in the breeze and finished off in 56.8 in a dead heat Bendigo victory, then finished well to beat Lady Octavia at Maryborough before a solid Yarra Valley success twelve days ago. He draws perfectly against beatable opposition. WAINGARO GRANDVIEW (4) led when cut down late by stablemate Franco Ambassador at the end of a 56.3 last half at Melton a fortnight ago, then wasn t disgraced when fourth from the breeze there last week in a stronger race than this. TIMESONYOURSIDE (1) finished well when second at Tabcorp Park before failing to make an impression from an awkward draw there last week. It will be a lot different this time as he draws perfectly in this sprint affair. ROYAL STEEL (5) and OUR CULLEN (6) are racing into some good form but have to contend with awkward barriers. The winner of 9 of her 21 starts, she mixed with Australia s top fillies last season and has won four of six this term. She was back in the field and ran on strongly when fourth in a similar race to this at Tabcorp Park last week, and from this good trailing draw is likely to settle a lot closer this time. HUNG JURY (1) is a tough customer who was having his third run from a spell when overpowering moderates from the breeze at Geelong a fortnight ago. He may not have the speed to lead these but will be out and running the last lap and he looks nicely suited. GHADASBEST (2) was one of our best juveniles a couple of seasons back, finishing off with a third to Captain Joy in the Breeders Crown Final. He only raced twice last term for a Cranbourne second and a luckless Tabcorp Park fifth from the stand and resumes off a Kilmore trial placing. Keep him safe. Ex-Kiwi HAMILTON (4) won a Forbury Park in June, then in all the way fashion at Launceston in July. He s a brilliant beginner, the likely leader, and will be hard to run down. PATS ACE (8) and HOLLYWOOD BROMAC (11) both have recent wins at this level and each way claims. Ratings:9/1/2?/4/8,11/6. MISTER ZION (3) draws best of the heat winners and he should lead and go very close to winning. He made it three from three when finding the lead early last week and never challenged. STERLISH (5) made two moves and was still able to finish off in 56.9 to score in his heat and is racing in career best form. TELLMESOMETHINGOOD (2) was shuffled back to mid-field, then wide in the last lap when a solid third last week to MISTER ZION (3) and from this favourable draw, is a sprint-lane chance of upsetting the favourite. MY GOLD ART (9) was taken to the breeze mid-race when a length third to STERLISH (5) in his heat and he should get a soft trailing trip from where he positions. Other heat winners MISTER GNP (4) and JACCKA SANDY (10) don t look quite as well suited this week but are still in the mix, with LADY OCTAVIA (6), COASTAL (7) and THE MARKSMAN (8) having place claims at least. RUN RILEY RUN (1) had the run of the race and used the sprint lane when scoring at Tabcorp Park two starts back, then sat in the breeze for a solid second at Yarra Valley on Melbourne Cup day. From the pole draw, he ll be prominent all the way. ALBERT JACCKA (10) sprouted wings in the home straight for an impressive first up Melton victory last week but draws awkwardly here on this tighter circuit. THE WILD STORM (7) has gone nicely in both runs for Tony Peacock, they being an all the way Ballarat success and a close second in last weekend s Stawell Cup. FOR GRANTED (11) had no luck in the Stawell Cup before going around at Tabcorp Park last night. He s holding his form well and has each way claims along with THE GUNSTAR (12), who won at this level early last month and was badly held up at Tabcorp Park last week. FRANCO AMBASSADOR (5) looks the other main winning chance on a solid finishing effort to win at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago (56.3) -- he had no luck there last week. Ratings:1,10/7,12/5,11/4,6,9. He s won 16 of his 30 starts with 13 placings but hasn t started since running second to All Tiger in the $60,000 Breeders Crown FFA at Tabcorp Park in August. Prior to that, he d won three on end and he showed his readiness for this with an easy Ararat trial victory last weekend. IN MONACO s (1) most recent claim to fame is his close second to Blacks A Fake in his Gold Coast Inter Dominion heat back in March. His last win was on this circuit in June last year and he disappointed when resuming early last month at Geelong, but his trials since have been good and he has the gate speed to go with his poleline draw. TANABI BROMAC (2) has been desperately unlucky in both runs since resuming, they being placings at Tabcorp Park. He flashed home last week for second to Mister Grizzly and draws to go one better. CINCINNATI KID (10) has become a professional placegetter since his latest victory which was here back in February. He battled on strongly in a 55.2 last half when third to Melpark Major in The Legends at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago and with no Smoken Up or Melpark Major around tonight, he looks nicely graded. Chances also to KEAYANG HANOVER (4), who ll be improved by two luckless runs from a spell; Maryborough Cup winner KARLSRUHE (7), who raced below his best in The Legends last time; OHOKA UTAH (8), who had a tough run in the Kilmore Cup but will be improved by recent racing; LUV THA ACES LOMBO (9), who can sprint by them with the right trip; and BOLD CRUISER (11), who showed his first glimpse of form for some time when a tough second at Harold Park last weekend. Back to Claiming level, he looks ideally suited. ULTIMATE MARK (7) ran a brave fourth to DONTFENCEMEIN (8) in a strong Claimer on Kilmore Cup day before weakening after a tough trip when outclassed at Melton last time. This looks an ideal race for him. DONTFENCEMEIN (8) followed Claiming victories at Tabcorp Park and Kilmore with failures in the Maryborough and Stawell Cups. He s another who ll relish a return to this level. JUST STAY N ALIVE (4) was an outstanding and tough Yarra Valley winner twelve days ago beating Hitemup, who s won since. He looks the other main winning chance. ROCKET WARRIOR (2), HOT NIGHT IN PARIS (3) and SCOTLAND THE BRAVE (6) are handy performers in these races and are also in the mix. Ratings: 5/7,8/4/2,3/6/1. She bounced back to winning form when coming from near the rear and too strong in the closing stages for MY SIGN (1) at Geelong nine days ago, and looks the clear top pick. IM ONI JONES (4) made late ground when a debut third to MISS TRICKIN LOMBO (5) at Shepparton earlier this month, then finished powerfully to beat moderates at Bendigo last Monday. She s an improving type who ll be hard to hold out. MY SIGN (1) ran a couple of solid races at Tabcorp Park before leading when cut down late by MISS TRICKIN LOMBO (5) at Shepparton, then was taken to the breeze mid-race when headed off late by LANDSCAPEARTIST (6) at Geelong last time. She s due a win and draws to get one. MISS TRICKIN LOMBO (5) followed her fast finishing Shepparton success over MY SIGN (1) with a luckless fourth at Geelong last week and makes up a quartet of strong winning chances. Next best is NINNA JASPER (7), a recent Tabcorp Park winner who had to pull out all stops in her all the way Stawell victory last Sunday. She draws wide but is a tough mare who ll let them know she s around. Stablemate ANGEL OF LIFE (8) has place claims at least. Ratings: 6/1,4,5/7/8. Suggested bet: LANDSCAPEARTIST (6) to win.
