She s run some nice races in strong fields at Tabcorp Park over the past couple of months and comes off a nose defeat there from a back mark, and an unplaced effort when having no luck in a strong mobile behind Dream A Moment a fortnight ago. She has the barrier and gate speed to go with it. PRETTYLILANGELEYES (7) finished well to win a Bendigo mobile five starts back, then found trouble in three consecutive standing start affairs before a solid finishing second when back to the mobile at Maryborough last time. This looks her sort of race. ESS JAYS DASH (2) has won four of his seven mobile tries, the most recent of those being here in October. He then won at Cranbourne and has been placed in three starts since from the stand, the latest of those efforts when wide to the breeze from a back mark here last week. SPEEDY ATOM (5) ran his best race for some time when sitting in the breeze and a close third at Maryborough recently and he completes a quartet of strong winning chances. Also in the mix are ULTIMATE IMAGE (1), who ll be improved by two runs from a spell and has the alley; NOOPY DUA (4), who bobs up on occasions; and GLORYS ADAM (9), who wasn t disgraced when resuming in the Stawell Trotters Cup three weeks ago. Ratings:3/2,7/5/1/4,9? Suggested bet: SOSOCLASSY (3) to win. 2 Bendigo Bank Claiming Pace 7.00 2100m. $5000. He should be sitting just off the pace as the only trailer, and will be in the finish. INDI GLOVES (5) came off fast pace when finishing strongly from well back to win one of these races at Tabcorp Park five starts back and hasn t had much luck in stronger races since. He was badly held up when mid-field in near track record time at Bendigo at his latest run. VILLAGE CHARM (6) had the run of the race when a battling third to You Lazy Boy at Kilmore last Sunday and this race is probably a little easier, hence he rates a strong winning chance. BECKY CEE (3) has been battling around in these races in over the past month or two and not been far away and she has enough gate speed to make a bold bid. ARCHI BOY (2) wasn t disgraced in that fast run Bendigo claimer last week and draws well in a more suitable race. He has each way claims with the query runners being LILY MAY (4), who d been going okay before being pulled up after dropping out at Tabcorp Park six weeks ago; and TEXT ME NEXT (7), who s gone two shockers for as many starts for Emma Stewart, but would probably beat these at his best. Ratings:5,8/6/2,3,4?7? Suggested bet: Trifecta 5 and 8 to win and run second with the field for third. 3 The Mackrell Family Pace 7.30 2100m. $5000. A four time winner last season, he won his second race this term when having the run of the race and cutting down stablemate Waingaro Grandview at Tabcorp Park early last month, then was luckless in strong races there and at Moonee Valley before battling on well when a close second to King Of Paradise here at the latest meeting. He has gate speed and the draw to use it. TOGETHER WE DO (2) worked hard in the breeze and finished off in 56.9 when narrowly beating Dazed And Confused at Tabcorp Park two starts back, that following a death seat Moonee Valley second. He hasn t started since running seventh at Tabcorp Park five weeks ago when again in the breeze and only beaten a length. ROCKY BEAU (6) galloped in the score up and wasn t disgraced when unplaced in a hot Cranbourne affair last weekend. He hasn t won for a long time but drops in grade big time on recent Tabcorp Park and Moonee Valley efforts, and should be in a striking position in this small field. OSCAR DELA FIGHTER (3) went okay at his second run back from a spell when held up and beaten just over a length by King Of Paradise here last time and looks the blowout material. Ratings:1/2/6/3. A tough four year old mare, she ran second from the breeze in the Breeders Crown Final to Make Mine Cullen back in August, then flashed home from the rear when second to the talented Wartime Sweetheart when resuming in a sprint race at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago. She was restrained from a wide alley, then worked around to lead at the bell when an 18 metre winner against moderates at Tabcorp Park last weekend and will be a long odds-on favourite here. LITTLE MISS FIRE (3) won on debut here back in August and has been placed in four of six since. She put up an amazing effort after galloping in the score up when second here three starts back, then had the run of the race when third at Tabcorp Park before working hard n the final circuit for fifth here a fortnight ago - her latest run. She rates as clear second pick and the only possible danger to this favourite. LOLA BROMAC (6) burst on the scene with good winning form when coming here from New Zealand a couple of seasons back but hasn t really fired for a long time. She led and walked when cut down late by Third Tee in a moderate Terang affair last time and that form is good enough to rate her as third pick against these. Place chances to TASHA THE BASHA (7), who has ability but never seems to have much luck in her races; and ULTIMATE TYCOON (8), who had the run of the race to win here a month ago before a battling last start second at Terang. Ratings:4/3/6/7,8. Suggested bet: Key trifecta 4 to win with 3, 6, 7, 8 in the placings. 5 Geelong Advertiser Cup 8.30 1609m. $5000. He scored from the breeze at Cranbourne four starts back, then was an odds-on favourite when weakening into fifth in a Tabcorp Park MO before dropping in grade to record a handy Tabcorp Park 4YO victory three weeks ago. Heavily backed from his second line draw at the Valley last time he was gifted the lead mid-race but unable to stave off a fast finishing burst from handy performer Hung Jury who s won again since. He draws to be straight in front this time and the short trip is right up his alley. The Dean Braun trained pair of GYPSY FRANCO (8) and BLYTON BROMAC (9), both of whom are resuming, look the main dangers. BLYTON BROMAC (9) has won 7 of 19 and put together five wins on end back April/May before last start Warragul failure in June. She s trialled okay for her return. GYPSY FRANCO (8), who s won 7 of 14, was a Cranbourne winner in May, then was spelled after failure on that circuit. He ran second in a trial her a month ago and if anywhere near his best form, would be hard to hold out. SHORTYS STAR (7) raced wide in the last lap when a close second to King Of Paradise in a Bendigo stand, then finished a handy fourth at Tabcorp Park to Triple Vance before running into traffic when locked away at Cranbourne last week. He looks nicely suited against these. Chances also to MARKLEIGH (3), a big improver with a near record all the way victory at Echuca over the sprint trip last week; and TESS STING (2), who was having her third run from a long spell when an honest third to Lombo Royal Flush at Horsham last Monday. His only two runs last season yielded a Cranbourne second in July and a fifth to Mister GNP after a bad standing start beginning in 'The Graduate at Tabcorp Park in August. He resumes from a good barrier in a winnable race off two Kilmore trial placings. The Lance Justice trained ICE ICE (6) went okay in two New Zealand runs before a second here back in August when favourite behind the talented Deadsetlucky. He weakening after setting a slow pace in front in a race at Kilmore after that and hasn t been seen since. Keep him safe. MY ELEGANT MEE (2) is another ex-Kiwi who s been placed in 6 of 14 without winning. He hasn t started since last February and joins the stable of Michael Armstrong. Rate him highly from the good alley. He s never started from behind the tapes but has won three of his five Australian starts, the latest of those a second up Tabcorp Park mobile effort when coming from well back and outclassing his opposition. MACH TWAIN (8) looked good in four win last season as a three year old and this Lance Justice trained ex-Kiwi will be improved by his handy first up death seat standing start third at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago. Rate him highly. KHAN BAT KHAN BOWL (2) is an honest four year old with good standing start ability. He found the front and was never headed when finishing off in 57.8 to score well here at the latest meeting and might give these something to chase. NO FANTASY (1) is the query runner. He hasn t started since a Kilmore failure back in May but has shown plenty of ability in the past and recently ran second in a strong Kilmore standing start trial to Ti Vogliobene. VIJAY LEE (6) won from the breeze and was placed in the final (again from the death) of a recently completed Cranbourne series and he has each way claims along with WOR JACKIE (7), a recent Maryborough standing start winner who comes off back- to-back death seat Charlton and Maryborough placings from the mobile. He finished off with a heat win and second in the final of the Dandy Patch series at Hobart back in July and resumes off a recent Tabcorp Park trial win. LORD LOMBO (6) led all the way and fought on solidly to win at Cranbourne two starts back, then finished well when just failing to pick up the speedy Walshy at Bendigo last week. There isn t much between he and stablemate STRONGBOW LOMBO (5), that latter performer an honest youngster who followed a Kilmore second to the smart Enthralled with a battling Tabcorp Park fourth and a solid Horsham victory a fortnight ago.
