He is a safe beginner and is overdue a win. SWINGALONG BING (6) was game in defeat two back at Terang after enduring a chair trip then he got it all wrong here 11 days ago. That was out of character for him and he deserves another chance. SHIPPS CHOICE (1) is an honest maiden mare who should be in the firing line throughout from her ideal barrier. He is yet to win in 48 starts, which is a concern, but this looks suitable. FIREINTHESKY (5) is first up for five months tonight but he looks well placed. He has raced stronger than these the majority of his career and he should be competitive. RIPABAMBI (1) had some gear issues first up at Charlton but she does leave the gate swiftly and over the sprint trip she may be hard to catch. STRIKIN ADAM (7) was placed here four back behind Raise An Eyebrow, which is good enough form to be a major player in this. The wide draw is a concern for him however. ILONA LASS (8) did things wrong first up for Peter Manning here nine days back but if anyone can sort her out it's Peter and John Caldow is in fine touch. She'll either lead or be in behind the speed and is the one to beat. LANDSCAPEARTIST (7) has the right form for this but the wrong gate. She was a close up third to Strangeasitsounds at Cranbourne after leading two runs ago then she didn't have the best of luck in the Gold Chalice at Tabcorp Park. She will need some fortune but she has a touch of class. FROSTY STUMPJUMPER (5) is a lightly raced six year old who obviously has had his problems with soundness. He hasn't raced for nearly two years and hasn't trialled but Peter Manning will have him somewhere near the mark. WITCHWAYWENDY (8) sprint laned to victory at Terang prior to going for a break and with a cheap run on the pegs she can be dangerous first up. SAM RAE (4) and IM LE FREAK (3) are the next best. He'll be nearing peak fitness after two runs back from a spell and although this is a tough assignment he will be a force. DOUGIE RAY (1) has been freshened for this and he draws to advantage. He hasn't started since being beaten as an odds on favourite at Terang back in late November but he gets Gavin and should be the leader. FRANCO NEWSMAN (9) found the lead and was punched out hard to score at Maryborough in a PB of 1:56.7 for the sprint trip. He'll have to work for it tonight but he is an above average four year old. WYA MYA MACRAY (11) hasn't won for seven months but she is not far off her tenth career win. She was run off her legs by the very smart Greysteel here last time and with a cart into it she will unleash a paralysing sprint. He would've smashed the clock there and this looks his race. ROTKARA STELLA (8) is a speedy filly who endured a chair trip first up here and it was no disgrace for her to go down to Morgan Abby in fast time. She will be fitter and is the only danger to this favourite. ART AND RHYTHM (1) is a consistent colt who battled on ok for fourth to Rojen Dream after sitting parked at Maryborough nine days ago. He has won all three since arriving from New Zealand and although this is his toughest test he should go close. ME OLE MATE LOMBO (1) has never raced better. He sat outside classy mare Hyland Zali and ran second in 1:56.3 for the sprint trip at Terang then he again did it tough and his third to Melbournian at Geelong was massive. He may be the leader here and very hard to run down. PACIFIC PLAYGIRL (5) is a lovely mare with a wicked turn of foot. She pelted home for third to Rowan Direct at Tabcorp Park last start and with some luck from the alley she'll give this a shake. Her stable mate TELLTHEBANKER (2) has really started to hit his stride. He led all the way at Cranbourne 18 days ago and from the handy draw Puppet will give him every possible. She hit the line hard for third to Soul Tana at Horsham last start and from the pole with her natural speed she looms as the upset material. He has the pole draw and Jodi will give him every possible. DANLUKANNE (2) has been placed five of his seven starts and deserves a win. He might angle in behind CHRISTIAN SHADOW (1) at the start and get a cushy run on the pegs. ARLINGTON ROAD (4) commences his four-year-old campaign off the back of a Shepparton trial victory six days ago. He won impressively at Warragul prior to going for a break and rates highly. She has the barrier advantage today and will be looking for the lead. MADISKITA (5) pressed forward from a wide alley and secured the one out one back position in the race mentioned above and out sprinted EARLS GOLD (4) in the run to the wire. She may not get such a charmed run in this but she is sure to be in the finish once more. GIRL AT WORK (2) had her chance in front when second to Another Clare at Geelong nine days back under stand start conditions. She will be first to the pegs here and should get a cheap run thereafter. He has been placed at his only stand appearance last season and should go close. SUMMANUS (7) was beautifully driven by Bulls Head Svanosio at Bendigo two back to get the cash in fast time then he had no luck at all when fifth to Heza Panamach at Lords Raceway last Saturday night. The stand is the only query with him but he seems a sensible fellow. COVERED IN INK (8) charged home to just miss behind Western Lover here two runs ago then he drew poorly but still worked home nicely for fifth to Roche At La Plagne at Horsham 10 days ago. She has a good trailing draw and the stable are in hot form. VILLAGE MAN (3) is a speedy beginner who should get the lead cheaply in this. He has been unsuited by back row draws his past two and at juicy odds he'll give you a sight. CLASSICAL MUSICIAN (10) was unlucky not to win at Ballarat two back then he pulled too hard and weakened out of it behind Strangeasitsounds at Cranbourne last start. He should be able to get a cart into it today and be dangerous. IT IS WHAT IT IS (1) might be the best roughie of the day with the likelihood of him getting a nice economical run on the markers. If he can kick up and hold the leaders back he'll give this a shake. GANGA AND SLIM (7) did all the work but was too good at Yarra Valley last week as a well-tried favourite. He is the class factor and gets in well with the claim for Craven. THE MARKSMAN (10) broke his metropolitan maiden at Tabcorp Park two runs ago then he looked a touch disappointing when third to Hei Houdini at Terang. The last quarter was sharp there however and he'll be sticking to KEAYANG HANOVER (9) like glue today. PRINCESS DILINGER (5) is resuming for new trainer Tony Dillon. She hasn't raced for over four months but she is sure to be fit and is very tough when she is right. He trialled well under stand start conditions at Shepparton six days back and he is sure to race well here. SOUL TANA (10) won courtesy of a T. Matthews special at Horsham last start and if he handles the tapes he can be a force. VIJAY LEE (7) draws the car park but he is normally a fast beginner and he is sure to be working forward. THE TWO OF US (5) led up but was bloused by NORAS DREAM (2) at Ballarat last time. He may be the pilot once more and will run his usual honest race. NORAS DREAM (2) turned her form around with a nice sit-sprint win in the race mentioned above. She will get a cosy run off the pace again today and has each way claims. VINTAGE DIRECT (8) was huge in winning at Bendigo two back then he started a hot favourite at Ballarat in the race NORAS DREAM (2) won and never got into it. He seems to be better up on the pace so Tanya Dyer may put this bloke into the race early.
