With only one win to her credit from her first ten starts, she finished off with a heat win and semi Final success in the Breeders Crown, then out- toughed Lady Belladona to win the $311,000 Final at Tabcorp Park back in August. She resumes off a fast Shepparton trial success and draws to win. LEFT IN PARIS (10) is a late starter who won on debut at Echuca in November, then was placed three times on end in strong races before having absolutely no luck in the Gold Chalice at Tabcorp Park a fortnight ago when, although finishing ninth of ten, she was badly shut in and finished five metres behind winner Morgan Abby. MANDS GEARL (7) was a dual winner last term who finished off with a sixth in the Breeders Crown Final. She was placed first up here, then ran third in the SA Oaks before having no luck when outclassed in the SA Derby last time. Chance also to SHANGHI (2), who won twice last term and resumes off a trial success here. SELECTIONS: LED SUITCASE (1), Left In Paris (10), Mands Gearl (7), Shanghi (2). RATINGS:1/10/2?7/3. He's raced well at metro level in the past and will be improved by two runs from a spell, the most recent when sitting in the breeze and beaten a length by Living On Fire in a fast 1:58.2 for this trip at Bendigo last weekend in a race where they finished off in 56.8. NO ENCORE (2) made good ground from well back when third to Just Wal in a Tabcorp Park stand, then won back-to-back races in fine fashion at Leeton before a solid fourth in last Sunday's Echuca Cup where he made two moves and fought on well. He looks better suited back to the mobile. MAJESTIC EMPEROR (3) showed his first glimpse of form in three runs for John Justice when sitting in the one-one and a close third in a Tabcorp Park stand behind Shardons Rocket a fortnight ago. This looks his sort of race. JACKSON STREET NZ (1) was first up for a month when making late ground behind Villagem in a strong Tabcorp Park affair last weekend and should pose some sort of threat from the pole. A three time winner last season, she capped it off with that good standing start effort in the Redwood and recently won a Cranbourne standing start trial then finished third in a Warragul trial against the faster class pacers. TSONGA (4) is an honest gelding who's been placed once in six starts, that being when third in a Breeders Crown Repechage at Maryborough back in August. He led then took a sit when a modest fourth when resuming in a strong Tabcorp Park affair last weekend, will be fitter and looks better graded here. BACKINA LIFETIME (1) failed when beginning badly on debut back in October but looked good in her solid third to a sprint-laning ANOTHER CLARE (7) in a Geelong stand ten days ago, and she draws to reverse that decision. ANOTHER CLARE (7) is lightly raced and improving all the time. SELECTIONS: ELUSIVE CHARM (3), Tsonga (4), Backina Lifetime (1), Another Clare (7). RATINGS:3/1,4,7/5,9. She was having her third race start when scoring here back in November, then finished well from the rear when second in a strong Shepparton affair before failing at Cranbourne a couple of months back. Recent trial efforts indicate her readiness. ALDEBARANFANTASTIC (3) had the run of the race to win at Yarra Valley at her fourth run this season, then battled into fourth place after sitting behind the leader in a fast Menangle mile affair nine days ago. This should suit. CONFETTI (2) won a similar race to this at Shepparton in November and hasn't been far off in four runs since. She draws well for a sprint race. The query runner is the Lance Justice trained EASTWOOD COUNTESS NZ (1), an all the way win at Cranbourne being her sole success from 24 starts last season. She beat the talented Cillas Earl in a strong race at Geelong in September, then was runner up in good company at Tabcorp Park before a mid-field finish there at her latest run, four months ago. She's resuming from a good alley and grades well against these. CLOUD CHASER (7) is a highly talented mare who often races untractably. Her two runs from a spell have been luckless and since her last start Tabcorp Park failure a month ago, she's been placed in two Shepparton trials. BARNEYS INVASION (3), a winner here in September, finished well when runner up to KELLYS NIPPA (8) at Maryborough when second up, then didn't have much luck when a close fourth in a strong field at Bendigo last weekend. KELLYS NIPPA (8) was an improved effort at Maryborough and he's going well enough to win again. SELECTIONS: MONI BEA (2), Cloud Chaser (7), Barneys Invasion (3), Kellys Nippa (8). He'll race well off the freshen up. KNIGHT CRUSADER (4) won three races last season and at his second run this time in, was too strong for Bully Murphy (winner since) at Ballarat a month ago. He draws inside his main dangers, the other of them being BUTE BROTHER NZ (7), a Tony Peacock trained gelding who's won four races this season, the latest of those here a month ago. He worked hard and wide to the breeze when narrowly beaten by Ultimate Under Fire and third in the Eastern Zone Final at Cranbourne last time and is in top form. That trio rate clearly ahead of last start Central Victorian Championship heat winner DAY IN LIEU NZ (1), and ex-Kiwi SCARLET DIVISION NZ (9) who ran third at Echuca at his first Australian run before a solid fourth from the breeze here last Sunday. First starters are DUTCH HARBOUR (1) (Red River Hanover -- Boosterama), is a Peter Tonkin trained colt who is sure to have ability; and RELAXED (3) (Blissfull Hall -- Pure Velvet), a John Justice trained colt who recently ran second in a Geelong standing start trial. He sat quietly three back the pegs and once he busted loose of a pocket he really savaged the line. He'll be even sharper today and is the one to beat. SAINT TIMOTHY (2) is a promising maiden who had his chance for second in the race mentioned above. He should get to the pegs first here and with a cheap run once more he can surprise. CHERRY SWEET (5) was rewarded for her consistency with a dominant all the way win at Cranbourne prior to going for a break. She will probably need the run but is a safe beginner and rates highly. STAR SPANGLED RAMA (8) is the class factor and had been in fine touch prior to breaking at Cranbourne last start. The 40m is tough but the relatively small field should negate that. He will need a touch of luck but has the best in the business sitting behind him. GLEES JASPER (4) went quick time to win at Charlton last start after having a cheap run on the pegs. He should push forward today, race on the speed and be hard to beat. HITEMUP (5) worked hard early to hold a forward spot at Tabcorp Park last Friday night and the effort told on him in the concluding stages. That however was a much tougher Claimer then this and he'll be competitive. They look the main three with place chances only to the remaining runners. He will be in front or outside the lead today and is clearly the horse to beat. WATTABOUT A SMILE (5) had a nice sit off the speed and held on well for third to Predict at Geelong 15 days ago. He has the ace alley and the speed to lead these. ITZA FINELINE (5) did all the work in the run and fought hard for third to The Delirama at Cranbourne two back then she again sat in the breeze and ran third to Ganga And Slim at Yarra Valley. She'll have to tough it out again but is nearing a win at this level. BAYCADES (7) cost himself victory by messing up the start at Cranbourne last time hence he is ODM today. He'll require some Sugars magic from the car park draw but he still should be competitive. BEACHUWIN (8) is the blow out with the likelihood of him getting the gun run in behind the leader. He is still a maiden from 46 attempts, which is a concern however. BOXER MARAE (6), HURRICANE DAN (4) and MISS JULES (2) can be thrown into your exotics. LAND OF PANAARM (3) led all the way in impressive fashion at Cranbourne two back then he didn't have the best of luck when fourth to Dual Agent Tabman at Bendigo on Cup night. He has gate speed and may be the leader. JUSTFORROBBIE (5) hasn't been seen since finishing a well-beaten third to Notaswethort at Horsham over a year ago. His three efforts since have been fair but he might be able to cross these and the sprint trip is a plus. IMPRESSIVEPRINCESS (8) has poor form on paper but she did win a trial stylishly here five days ago. She draws a touch awkwardly but with a late split on the sprint lane she can be dangerous. CASINO PRINCESS (10) is quite smart when right but she has been a touch below her best of late.
