This race is no harder and he is certainly the horse to beat. LIP SYNC (1) started at big odds when a handy finishing second to DON FRANCO (3) last week but he is drawn to trail the leader here so he is a good chance of filling the Quinella position again. MERRYWOOD DUCHESS (6) is an honest mare that gets into this race via a concession claim. She made up ground for third last outing and is not without a place chance. TIAMOUR (5) can utilize his early pace to find a prominent position in the early stages and is worth thought in multiple combinations. HAVA BONVOYAGE (5) is awkwardly drawn but is racing at his peak form and ran a good race for third behind the star pacer Karloo Mick at Goulburn last week. JARENDAN (2) races best when he is able to lead and is a value hope. He went forward at the start, was caught wide in the early stages and ended up being snagged back to last so he had no luck last week. MAUDIE (3) was unsuited to the inside of the second line draw when eighth to Vegas Bound last week. Her prior efforts were sound and she should take a forward race from her good draw on the front line so she is worth following. TAKIM (10) is a tough type and boxed on well for a distant third to Vegas Bound last week. He probably needs further than the 1760m but he is too good to dismiss. She lacks early dash but is a strong Quinella chance if she can kick through from the inside of the second line and trail the leader. The fast beginners are JEMAS GLORY (2), ADVANCELOT (4) and BURNING STATURE (5) so there is likely to be a charge into the first corner. A fast early pace may suit THE SPURS A FLYIN (10), an honest mare that received every hope behind the rising star Vegas Bound on Friday night and should appreciate a drop in class. He should strip fitter for that outing and is perfectly drawn so he is worth following. CULLENS LEGACY (2) is rising in class on his latest victory at Maitland but he was nominated for the Group 1 Treuer Memorial in December so he is obviously capable of taking the next step forward. He possesses early pace and should give a bold showing. LADY LEXUS (5) is a very talented and versatile mare that finished off in a sizzling final half of 56.9 seconds to win last outing. CLONTARF LADY (3) finished fourth in the Australian Gold last season and has looked good in winning twice this term. She is a strong filly and should run a forward race from her good draw. The Victorian pacers IM ONI JONES (1) and MORGAN ABBY (2) are racing in good form and must be respected. She draws wide with speed inside but she should go close in this. WATERSLIDE (2) is a consistent mare who led up but felt the pinch the last 100m to wind up fourth to Soul Tana at Horsham last time out. She should have the speed to get to the pegs first again and then she has options available to her. He draws to push forward, race on the pace once more and a repeat of his last run will see him beat these. RIGATONI (6) was pretty ordinary at Ararat two back then he was an unlucky fourth behind the very smart Villagem at Tabcorp Park last Friday night after being held up for a clear crack at them until it was too late. The draw is no luxury but he will be competitive. SILKARI LASS (3) has performed well in two runs for Lynette Eastman. She sat on Franco Newsman at Maryborough last time and nearly ran him down in a blistering 1:56.7 for the sprint trip. She may be able to get the early lead here and from there she holds all the aces. The draw is an issue but she gets in well with the claim for Craven. DAMSELS DASH (6) worked her way to the front here eight days ago and was just collared on the line by Cootas Tooth.
