An easy all the way Bendigo victory was followed by another end to end success there over dual winner since Radiant River, then he worked to the lead from his second line alley for a solid Terang success three weeks ago. Drawn to lead, he ll be mighty hard to catch. DANGER: SALS MO (7) is a dual winning three year old this season who showed brilliant gate speed in a Yarra Valley victory back in June. He ran second from the breeze on this circuit three starts back, then ran the race of his life when racing up to Fly Like An Eagle and battling on solidly for third in a Breeders Crown heat at Kilmore three weeks ago before not having any luck at Geelong in his repechage. The above pair of youngsters should fight it out. OTHERS: CAME ROLLIN IN (8) beat a handy field at Geelong back in March but her form since has been patchy. She draws to use the sprint lane and is the only other runner in the race that has any chance of beating the two favourites. Best of the others and one for trifectas is DESINDA BROMAC NZ (11). RATINGS:6 / 7 / 8 / 11 place only. SUGGESTED BET: Trifecta 6, 7 - 6, 7 - 8, 11. 2 Bridge Consulting 3YO Pace 6.30 2080m. $5000. 3yo 3C0 To 3C1 PBD Mobile 1 03753 HELENSHALL N J Preston Simone Walker Fr 8.00 2 96787 CHEEKY CHIC LOMBO D R Wilson Damian Wilson Fr 34.00 3 9508s MAGIC ONE R J O Connell Rodney Petroff Fr 11.00 4 050s MOR LAAG D F Kelly Casey Parker (C) Fr 16.00 5 s0s89 TIPPERARY SEELSTER D A Murphy David Murphy Fr 34.00 6 256s8 RHINESTONE COWGIRL M A Caldow John Caldow Fr 8.00 7 0s935 PONDER IN PARIS R R Sugars Greg Sugars Fr 5.50 Second Line 8 404s2 CLASSIC BLISS Em1 W Galea Nathan Jack Fr 9 76449 ILLAWONG GERALDINE R R Sugars Kylie Sugars Fr 17.00 10 42247 MR MCARDLE NZ G F Douglas Daryl Douglas Fr 7.00 11 02950 STUCK IN SECOND G A Hunter Glenn Hunter Fr 26.00 12 40s1 BRAEVIEW WARRIOR L Miles David Miles Fr 2.10 TOP PICK: BRAEVIEW WARRIOR (12) looks one of the better bets on the program. He ran a nice fourth on debut at Cobram back in May, then began badly in a race at Ballarat before winning a fortnight ago at Yarra Valley at his first start for two months. Drawn wide in a sprint race there, he was eased to the rear then wide from the 1150 and too strong in the run home for winner since, Ymbro Awesome. DANGER: PONDER IN PARIS (7) beat Breeders Crown aspirant Real Bonus from the breeze on debut at Kilmore last December, then was a failure at Melton and went for a break. She resumed when pulling hard and dropping out in a Bendigo Breeders Crown heat, then was wide to the breeze when a distant third at Ballarat before a solid fifth at this level at Geelong last week, and will be improved by recent racing. OTHERS: HELENSHALL (1) worked hard early and battled on okay when third to Ymbro Awesome in a fast Warragul sprint affair last Monday and has each way claims along with MR MCARDLE NZ (10), a winner at his only homeland start, who s raced moderately in five runs since coming here. He s due to improve. PONDER IN PARIS (7) won a good Friday night race at Melton back in December, hasn t done much since, but would be well up to winning this if she produced her best. RATINGS:12/7/1,6?10/3?/4,9. SUGGESTED BET: BRAEVIEW WARRIOR (12) to win. 3 GG Engineering Trot Hcp 7.00 2575m. $5000. She meets the winner ten metres better here. DANGER: MISS KAI CHING (9) is a handy young mare who made it four wins for the season with that Yarra Valley victory and a speedy beginner, she ll settle close enough to strike. OTHERS: ROCKIN WILMA (10) worked hard in the breeze when an impressive Shepparton mobile winner last Tuesday night and despite being re-handicapped to 20 metres should again be prominent. BACKINA LIFETIME (13) went okay when a first up fourth here a month ago and this eight time winner is the class runner and will be improved for that outing. Each way chances to GIOIOSA IONICA (3), LA LUNA (4), CALDER STRIKE (5), who was an improver when placed at Geelong last time, AIDAN ANABETTIN (7), TAMSYN ELLE (8), DARK JASPER (11) and BIL TRUSCOTT (12). RATINGS:6/9/10,13/5,11/3,4,8/7,12. SUGGESTED BET: LAST SUNRISE NZ (6) to win. 4 Bayside Automotive Pace 7.32 1609m. $5000. OUR SILVER DOLLAR GIRL NZ (3) went from a maiden to the winner of seven races in her first eleven starts this season before her form tapered off slightly. She s had three runs back from, a break the best of those when sitting behind the leader and running a handy third to Washies Chances and Lively Operative at Geelong nine days ago and with those three runs under her belt, she looks ready to get back into the winner s list. Her latest win was over this very sprint trip here back in March. DANGER: LE RAPIDE NZ (1) who won six races last season and resumed for new trainer Lance Justice with a solid third at Maryborough at the end of May. He followed with a handy and luckless fifth after a wide trip at Bendigo, then was backed for big money when favourite and disappointing at Echuca a couple of months ago at his latest run, when wide to the breeze and weakening. He has gate speed, hasn t drawn an alley since coming here, but it s a totally different matter this time with his pole draw putting him right in the race. OTHERS: HOUHORA DELIGHT NZ (6) has won 7 of 22 but not started for more than a year. His most recent run was victory over this distance here 53 weeks ago and it s problematical as to where he s at at the moment, but on last season s form, he d have to be given a good chance. PATOS WALLET (8) was badly held up at Charlton, then again didn t have much luck when third at Shepparton ten days ago, and from the trailing draw he ll be running on strongly. LOMBO HALLMARK (2) won 4 of 13 last season and is another who hasn t started for 12 months, but he draws well for this first up assignment. TRAVTIANO (4) is always running on but rarely wins. In this smallish field and if the pace is solid, he can finish by these. RATINGS:3/1?/4,5?6?8/2. A handy Dean Braun trained seven year old, he ll be improved by that outing, his first for the month, and he ll be looking for a repeat performance. DANGER: Former Kiwi HOAGY BROMAC NZ (2) took a while to establish a decent formline when first coming here, but has now won three of his last five, the latest two on end and most impressively. He worked to the lead from his second line draw to score at Geelong a fortnight ago, then repeated the dose when never threatened at Maryborough last week. It looks a match race between the above pair. OTHERS: ALL AUSSIE STAR (7) has been a big improver of late with a pair of Geelong victories sandwiched around a luckless fourth there and despite the wide alley, he has each way claims. THE COURAGE WITHIN (4) ran a nice race for third from the breeze to Im Barney Rubble here three starts back, then was backed into favouritism at Geelong at his next start where he led and didn t fire. Luckless at Warragul last Monday, he ll be improved by recent racing and has each way claims. RATINGS:1,2/4,7/3,8/6,9. Not out of a place in his last eight starts, he followed a Shepparton victory in June with a solid second there, then went to Menangle for a placing in a strong MO. His last five runs, all at Melton, have yielded a Winter Championship heat victory over Guns N Roses who beat him into third place in the final and has won again since. He comes off a fast finishing second to Sushi Sushi in the Melton Cup, then worked hard early before handing up when narrowly beaten into third place by outstanding fellow four year olds Mustang Mach and Sushi Sushi in the final ñ a great form line for a race like this. DANGER: BET YOUR LIFE NZ (4) has only won a Ballarat Saturday night race from eleven starts since coming from the Sunraysia to join Adam Kelly s team, but his latest two efforts have been outstanding, they being a solid third to Sushi Sushi in his Melton Cup heat and luckless fifth in the final. OTHERS: LIFE INTHEFASTLANE (6) is a highly talented mare who ll find this easier than when taking on Make Mine Cullen and Broadways Best and fifth at Melton in a Mares FFA last weekend. She draws wide but is a classy animal. HUNG JURY NZ (7) improved vastly on his two previous runs when finishing strongly to be only beaten a head by top young mare Bellas Delight at Ballarat last time and is in the mix along with PETE OF PAN (2), who raced well at Melton earlier this season -he has the alley to improve on two recent runs from a break. GOLDEN GRINDER (1) draws to fill a placing while ROCKETS GEM (8), who s better than his form line suggests, may also be running home along the sprint lane. RATINGS:3/4/6/7/2/1,8. He followed a Ballarat death seat third with an impressive length second to top filly The Good Times at Ballarat, then ran a gallant second to Victoria s best three year old Philadelphia Man in their heat of the Breeders Crown at Kilmore. Luckless from a wide draw behind Real Hammer in a repechage at Geelong a fortnight ago, he drops way down in grade and looks clearly the top pick. DANGER: Another talented youngster DRIVING WITHTESS (12), has won six races this season. He led all the way to score first up at Bendigo five weeks ago then wasn t put into the race when fifth at Melton to Philadelphia Man before storming home from the rear to win at Geelong a fortnight ago. At Bendigo last Saturday night he was headed off from the pole and held up before finishing strongly for a half head defeat as a $1.80 favourite. OTHERS: JOHNNY TEE NZ (6) bobs up on occasions and was a winner on this track earlier this season. He wasn t far away when fourth to Tombstone Eden at Kilmore last time and grades well with the claim for Josh Duggan. Consistent mare LATOYA LASS (11) rounds out the winning chances - she scored here last month and comes off placings at Geelong and Yarra Valley and a luckless fourth at Bendigo last weekend. HOWFASTISTHATDUDE (3), DICKY BEACH (4) and THIS IS YOUR LIFE (8) have place claims at least. The opposition here isn t as strong and she should find herself in a handy spot from the good trailing draw. DANGER: AMAURY (7) was a Shepparton winner in May, then runner up to the smart Colby Reilly at Kilmore last month with his latest three starts being slightly below par, but luckless. He grades well on his best form and has each way claims. OTHERS: BIG TIMER LOMBO (5), who s by Lombo Pocket Watch from Tailamade Lombo, hasn t lived up to his breeding yet but is due to improve. A nine metre debut third here to Jewel Castle and VALLEY OF DIAMONDS (9) three weeks ago, he finished a battling fifth from three back the pegs to VALLEY OF DIAMONDS (9) at Yarra Valley last time and draws best of the winning chances. HERE AND NOW (8) has been placed in two of three although it must be said that her latest start when third at Geelong was an average effort as she had the run of the race and only plodded. Expect better. DIE HARD DEMON (1), TENFOUR (2) and FEARDAFELLA (4) can improve on the limited runs they ve had so far. The first starter is KAMIKAZE KY (3) (Courage Under Fire ñ Fluffy Handcuffs), a Cameron Colliver trained filly who was unplaced in a recent Yarra Valley trial. RATINGS:9/7/5,8. DANGER: IZA LADY (1) ran second in one of these races at Shepparton three starts back and hasn t had much luck in recent back-to-back fifths at Bendigo, the latest when held up before making late ground. The pole draw will aid her quest for an elusive maiden victory. OTHERS: COMEON GETALIFE (9) has shown up on occasions and although not firing when well backed first up at Yarra Valley a fortnight ago, she ran second in a trial at Kilmore last Tuesday and should settle just off the pace from the good trailing alley. ANOTHER OUTLOOK (6) did little in three runs a long time ago but won a Bacchus Marsh trial last weekend and is a likely improver. OUR SILVER BELLE NZ (4) looks best of the others, but with none of these having ever won a race in a combined 127 starts, it s a big task to try and pick one from another. RATINGS:1,7?9/6?/2?3?4.
