She was no match for Me An Kel at Melton last time out but that was a much stronger contest than what she tackles this time around and with the lead likely to be hers she should take running down. DANGER: MARIOS DREAM (1) will be juicy odds and is not without a hope in this from the ace alley. She should secure the gun run behind SPINSTER CLARE (2) and get her shot via the passing lane in the stretch. OTHERS: THE DUTCHMAN (6) wasn t himself at Melton last start when tiring badly behind Me An Kel but he has since trialled well there last Monday night and would only need to reproduce his strong win at Kilmore prior to be dangerous in this. ITS LIGHTSCAMERACTION (8) will get a cheap run the pegs and will be coming at them late should he see some daylight in the straight. Include him in winning chances along with LAST SUNRISE (11), TAMSYN ELLE (9), CONFUSED SUPERSTAR (12), BILL PEPPERELL (5), DARK JASPER (7) and LOVABLE NICK (10). RATINGS:2/1/6/8/11/9/12/5/7/10/3 SUGGESTED BET: SPINSTER CLARE (2) each way on a 1 x 3 basis 2 Corio Little Ath Centre 7.00 2100m. $5000. DANGER: IM MARK ANTHONY (8) has the tricky gate to overcome and he will need to lift after disappointing at his past two, although he did gallop when winding up at Melton last start so he can be forgiven for that effort behind Babyitsu. He ran an encouraging race at Melton three back in a stronger race than this first up for Dean Braun and will be a factor if things go his way. OTHERS: THE BLUR (9) returns to Glenn Douglas after a stint up in Queensland where he raced well for John McCarthy. He will more than likely need this hit out as it is his first since running third to Baileys Magic at the Gold Coast back in March but he is always competitive at this level and expect him to go well fresh. Stable mate OUR MADAGASCAR (7) will need a bit of luck from the wide barrier if he is to win but he goes into the mix on the strength of his last start second to Pacific Soul from behind the strands at Bendigo 11 days back. DARTMOOR (6) and QUICK ARMBRO (12) are the next best. RATINGS:5/8/9/7/6/12/3/2/1/4/11 SUGGESTED BET: ULTIMATE DEAL (5) to win 3 Ron Gercovich Pace 7.30 2100m. $5000. He will obviously find this much easier and should beat these with ordinary luck. DANGER: PUBLIC PERSUASION (3) had his first run back in this state after campaigning in Tasmania at Cranbourne last Tuesday night and after parking out he went down fighting behind Mediation. He will be better for that run as it was his first for a month and he looks the most likely to challenge CROMAC JAMIE (4). OTHERS: CAME ROLLIN IN (10) has really picked up her act of late and has her hoof right on the till after placing behind the smart Inky Cullen at Cranbourne two back before running a game race in defeat at the hands of Gumdrops here 10 days ago. She has the job ahead from the draw but is not without a blowout chance if things go her way in the run. ONE TRACK MIND (1), SAUNDERS JEWEL (2), V C DEVIL (6), MAJOR DE LOCK (8), DAMASCUS ROAD (11), TORQUE ATTRACTION (5) and ILLAWONG GERALDINE (7) can all get into the placings. RATINGS:4/3/10/1/2/6/8/11/5/7/9 SUGGESTED BET: CROMAC JAMIE (4) to win 4 Relay For Life Pace 7.58 2100m. $5000. She comes up with the ideal draw tonight courtesy of the mares concession and whether she leads or sits just off them she will get her chance to bounce back into the winners list. DANGER: BETTOR WARRIOR (2) beat the in-form Purple Village at Shepparton first up from a break three back and his two efforts since behind All I Can Be and Darcy Tee have been quite good so from the handy gate he looks the most likely to give ILLAWONG KATH (1) a run for her money. OTHERS: ALL HONOUR (8) found the line with plenty of gusto to run by Wilwillwinsum here last start to register his fourth career victory and with a cheap run on the pegs expected he should be running home strongly along the pegs in search of back-to-back wins. TYLER BROMAC (3) and LAUGHING HOLME (4) are both capable types on their day and haven t been too far away in their recent runs so they must be given a hope with SHEEZ THE BARMAID (5) and IGNORANCE IS BLISS (6) looming as the upsets. RATINGS:1/2/8/3/4/5/6/7 SUGGESTED BET: ILLAWONG KATH (1) to win 5 Next Meeting 6 October 8.30 2100m. $5000. He gets back to the front line tonight, will race in or near the lead and is the testing material. DANGER: CLAIRE JASPER (2) was rewarded for some solid runs at Breeders Crown level with a gutsy win at Ballarat last week where she rallied under pressure in the stretch to get the cash. This will be a touch harder but she is well in with the mares concession and is a leading contender. OTHERS: WILWILLWINSUM (1) hasn t won for over a year, which is a bit of a concern, but he is most consistent and his turn is not far off going on his last start second to All Honour here 10 days back where he was just collared on the line. He has the speedy beginner STAR OF AARRANA (3) drawn to his outside who will be attempting to cross him so he will need to run the gate with purpose to hold a forward position and would only need to do that to be in with a shot at glory. He is at the peak of his powers at present and just needs things to go his way from the draw to get the cash here. DANGER: ARMA ROUGE (1) is rising in grade but he does have the perfect draw plus the short trip to help him step up. He led them up and scraped home in slick time at Hamilton last start and is sure to attempt an all-the-way success once more. OTHERS: GEORGE STREET LAD (3) has been threatening to win a race at odds for some time without delivering but he won t be long out of the winners list and if he gets the right run tonight he will be making a dive at them late. LOMBO HALLMARK (2) ran an encouraging race behind LE RAPIDE (6) at Cranbourne first up from a spell and has a blowout hope second up along with MACHIEVE (8) and THE COURAGE WITHIN (5). He had no luck from a wide gate at Melton last time when out the back behind Jukebox Music so put that out of your mind and go on his strong win there four back from the front end and his handy performances through the Breeders Crown series. Watch for him to be charging at them late. DANGER: BECAUSE I CAN (6) has been much too good for his rivals at his past two when leading and he will be after the front again tonight but will be made to earn it with several slick beginners drawn to his inside. Providing he doesn t burn too much fuel early he has to be given a strong chance of making it a hat trick. OTHERS: ARTOC (2) gave plenty of cheek at Melton last start when he led them up and wasn t beaten all that far behind Jukebox Music and should he manage to hold the front tonight he can give them something to gun down once more. NUCLEAR BUNNY (4) is another who will be eyeing off the top spot as he loves to lead in his races but he probably isn t going as well as he can and the place looks the best option with him along with PETE OF PAN (7), LILLA (1) and RADICAL IMPACT (3). DANGER: SHENFIELDS LANE (2) is first up for Matthew Craven so there is a respect factor there, plus she has trialled OK at Terang in the lead-up to tonight so she looms as the most likely to threaten DECORATED DIVA (9). OTHERS: The winner should come from that pair with place chances only going to OUR SILVER BELLE (7), RAMPART (5), CRAZY DAVE (6) and METRO SHAKA (1).
