He has won 8 of his 15 starts to date. He hasn't raced since finishing 7th to Lucie Boshier 2185m mobile Pinjarra July 13. Not seen in trials and market moves will be a guide. DANGER: VITAL EQUALIZER (7) will appreciate a drop in grade but he has a bad barrier to beat. He was placed in the McInerney Ford Classic before finishing 5th to I'm Victorious in the Golden Nugget last Friday. OTHERS: CYCLONE MITCH (2) had excuses when 4th to See What Happens at Bunbury last Saturday. The draw suits. HEISBACKINBLACK (3) has very good gate speed and if driven out could lead. SHEZ EL DE ROSA (8) had this draw when a late finishing 2nd to Lively GNP last Friday. TAKEABOW (9) can figure. She was handy throughout when 8th to Racketeers Girl 2100m mobile November 30. The mare then breezed before fading when 8th to Lord Jowers 1684m mobile Pinjarra on Monday in 1.53.6. Q1 Q2 DANGER: SHUDA DUNIT (1) has performed well since entering the stables of Andrew De Campo. She has led throughout for successive Bunbury victories over 2100m and 1609m. The 5yo is ideally suited. OTHERS: COURAGE ON FIRE (7) has an awkward draw to overcome but she has the speed to gain a prominent position. ELISHGOOD (5) wasn't disgraced behind Centrefold Angel last Friday. IM JASPER THE GHOST (3) has ability but she is hard to catch. HERE COMES ZOE (8) should obtain a soft run. He won a 2631m stand first up at Pinjarra November 12 and then led throughout 2503m stand November 23. He breezed and faded late when 6th to Our Gent 2503m stand last Friday. DANGER: SALLIWOOD (7) has been placed in three of four starts since resuming and the mare is adept in stand events. She was handy in the run before finishing 9th to Lucie Boshier last Friday. OTHERS: ERRIS LAD (9) is racing better than his numerical form suggests. TURISMO (5) led and gave cheek when 3rd to Our Gent last Friday. FALCONS MEDLEY (12) can never be dismissed but the 40m handicap is a tough mark to overcome. OUR GENT (10) has won four on the bounce and must be respected. DANGER: RUSSLEY RASCAL (5) has been in splendid form since resuming. He won his first three runs back from a spell and has finished 3rd in his past two outings behind the champion I'm Themightyquinn. OTHERS: SNEAKYN DOWN UNDER (9) strips fitter following one run back from a spell and he follows out the likely leader. FRANCO RENEGADE (1) is ideally drawn and the 6yo can look dangerous in the run. Field of class: Smoken Up will be among the stars to line up for tomorrow's Victoria Cup. Race to remember TOMORROW night at Tabcorp Park, fans will be treated to one of the greatest Victoria Cups in history. Statistically at least, it borders on incomparable. Featuring winners of the Inter Dominion, Victoria Cup, Miracle Mile and Treuer Memorial, the field for Melton's richest mobile race has earned more than $13.7 million. Astonishingly, that is close to $2 million more than last year's Victoria Cup field, hailed at the time as the finest in the race's 37-year history. Headlined by local star Smoken Up and Australian Horse of the Year Im Themightyquinn, the field for Melton's $400,000 feature also shares 44 Group 1 victories. Harness Racing Victoria chief executive John Anderson said the strength of the line-up confirmed the Victoria Cup's place on the Australasian harness calendar. ''This season, we've seen a restructuring of the Australasian feature race calendar, which will see only the biggest races tagged as Grand Circuit events,'' he said. ''The Victoria Cup sits very comfortably as one of those pinnacle races and the field we've assembled this year is easily the best I can remember, so fans can expect a very exciting event.'' The Victoria Cup will be run at 8.55pm tomorrow. A four-page liftout covering the event will be available in tomorrow's Herald Sun. Pool for punters VICTORIAN harness punters are on a promise tomorrow night at Tabcorp Park, with TAB offering $500,000 in pool guarantees for the Victoria Cup card. The highlight of the night will be a $300,000 quaddie guarantee. The quaddie will run on races four to seven, with the V.L. Dullard Cup, Casey Classic and Victoria Cup the last three quaddie races. Punters will also appreciate a $200,000 first 4 pool promise on the Victoria Cup, particularly as a similar guarantee on last week's Cranbourne Cup yielded a $16,000 dividend. Harness Racing Victoria form expert Michael Polster will offer multiple quaddie combinations on the Good Form blog but suggests punters play wide if they're having one crack. His main quaddie combination of 1,4 / 2,7,9,10 / 6,9,12,13 / 2,3,4,10 will return 39.06 per cent for a $50 outlay. Polster is playing even more conservatively with his first 4 in the feature race, suggesting punters play 2,3,10 / 2,3,4,5,10 / 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,10,12,13 / field, which will yield 6.61 per cent for a $50 spend. Firm favourite NEW Zealand Free-For-All winner The Gold Ace has been the best-backed horse for tomorrow night's Victoria Cup since Tuesday's barrier draw. Once tipped by Im Themightyquinn's trainer Gary Hall Sr to become the best pacer in Australasia, The Gold Ace was $10 after drawing gate four but is now a $7 chance. The only other horse to firm after the draw has been last year's winner Smoken Up, who has come in from $21 to $18. One punter did splurge $1150 on Sushi Sushi at $18 earlier in the week. Confidence around Bill Collins Mile winner I Didnt Do It is high approaching the Dullard Cup. His odds in the Group 1 trotting feature have been slashed from $3.50 to $2.60. Mach Alert is the horse punters want in the Casey Classic. His opening quote of $4.40 was trimmed to $3.20, despite drawing wide on the second line (12).
