DANGER: CAMP FIRE GLOW (10) got it wrong at Echuca last start when seventh to Robbie Zuve but her form prior was excellent and well up to winning a race of this nature so she must be given a chance. OTHERS: SALUTE THE WIND (1) draws to get a nice run should he begin safely and is in the mix along with DOCTOR SAM (6) and to a lesser extent SILVER MEMORY (12), MASTER KIESEY (13) and STARLIGHT LEE (11). RATINGS: 8/ 10/ 1/ 6/ 12,13,11/ 4,3,5/ 2/ 7 SUGGESTED BET: DABBSEY (8) to win 2 Lombo 2YO C&G 1 6.30 1690m. $5000. 2yo C&Gs RBD Mobile Heat 1 22 DASHING DAN LOMBO Greg Sugars Fr 5.00 2 GALVINATOR GUY Gavin Lang Fr 26.00 3 1 VIEWPOINT Craig Turnbull Fr 1.50 4 6 DREAMSNDESIRES Marnie Bibby (C) Fr 21.00 5 3 FALCON KINGDOM Chris Alford Fr 12.00 6 0 CLASSIC TOBO Nigel Milne Fr 67.00 7 684 NOT ANOTHER DE JAY Ken Tippet Fr 51.00 Second Line 8 212 ENJOYTHEGOODTIMES Bill Trembath Fr 6.50 9 DALLAS MONTY Riley Fortin (C) Fr 15.00 TOP PICK: VIEWPOINT (3) created a big impression on debut at Kilmore 9 days ago where he unleashed a devastating turn of speed to rush to the lead at the 400m before holding off a game DASHING DAN LOMBO (1) in the straight. He looks very talented; draws better this time around and should win again. DANGER: DASHING DAN LOMBO (1) has finished runner-up in both of his runs to date behind smart types Adam Cartwright and VIEWPOINT (3) and is the main threat from the ideal barrier. OTHERS: ENJOYTHEGOODTIMES (8) finished second to the smart Business In Motion at Leeton in the Breeders Plate last week so he has obvious ability and is the only other runner given a hope of upsetting VIEWPOINT (3). FALCON KINGDOM (5) is the next best. RATINGS:3/1/8/5/9/4/2/7/6 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi First Fours 3/ 1,8/ 1,8/ 2,4,5,9 and 3/ 1,8/ 2,4,5,9/ 1,8 ($16 on each will have you going for 200%) 3 Lombo 2YO Fillies 7.00 1690m. $5000. 2yo Fillies RBD Mobile Heat 1 80 GENERALLY OUTSPOKEN NZ John Caldow Fr 21.00 2 6 JUSTA DREAM LOMBO Mark Hayes Fr 15.00 3 32 ARTISTA LOMBO Nathan Jack Fr 4.00 4 1 TALLULAH BAY Gavin Lang Fr 1.60 5 MUMBAI MAJIK Stephen Boyington Fr 12.00 6 ARTISTIC GLOW Chris Alford Fr 26.00 7 IMMORTAL JET Doc Wilson Fr 31.00 Second Line 8 7 TORTURED SOUL Noel Tyndall Fr 41.00 9 07 NOMORE TEARS LOMBO Brian Gath Fr 34.00 10 3 BLITZSUZY Greg Sugars Fr 10.00 TOP PICK: TALLULAH BAY (4) sped to the lead from the extreme alley at Kilmore on debut and was never troubled thereafter to record a most impressive maiden victory. She gets the services of Gavin Lang tonight, should lead once more and looks the winner again. DANGER: ARTISTA LOMBO (3) finished third to TALLULAH BAY (4) in that same Kilmore contest mentioned above at her first start and has since run second to McQueen Regal here so from the handy gate she looks the most likely to cause an upset. OTHERS: BLITZSUZY (10) didn't disgrace herself first up when third to McQueen Regal on this circuit 17 days ago and can fill a place with MUMBAI MAJIK (5) the pick of the debutantes going on her trial win here last Thursday night in 2:03.3. RATINGS: 4/ 3/ 10/ 5/ 2,1,6,7,9/ 8 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 4/ 3/ 1,2,5,6,7,9,10 ($28 gets you 400%) 4 Mick Lombardo Pace 7.30 1690m. $5000. DANGER: FORBIDDEN FOREST (5) was put away after finishing a handy fifth to Smart Sista on this track four months back and he has trialled OK in the lead-up to tonight so he must be given a chance. OTHERS: CLASSIC LIFE (1) is another first up from a spell who has only trialled fairly but she draws to advantage and should run well. HOPPYJOE (3) trialled nicely here last Thursday night to fit her for this and looks the other main winning hope. DIRECT ART (11) is the next best. RATINGS: 6/ 5/ 1/ 3/ 11/ 2,12/ 4/ 7/ 8/ 9 SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL HUSTLER (6) to win 5 Equine Aftercare 8.00 1690m. $5000. He will either lead or sit behind the speed from the ace alley and take beating no matter what option John Newberry decides to take. DANGER: MY MUMS A STAR (4) wasn't too far from the flying Paya Dues at Cobram last start in a slippery 1:56.3 for the short course and did go wire-to-wire here three back so he will be a leading contender here, especially if he happened to get the front. OTHERS: MUMMA MIA LOMBO (10) is better known as an on pace runner so the back row draw is against her but she still should be competitive and looks the only other possible winning hope. SAFELY LOADED (3), CHERYL WEST (5) and PENSICOLA (6) have place prospects. RATINGS: 1,4/ 10/ 3,5,6/ 11,8/ 2/ 12/ 7 SUGGESTED BET: NIQUERO (1) to win 6 Vic. Equine Group 8.30 1690m. $5000. DANGER: ON FIRE WITHIN (9) is winless in 12 tries this season but he has been around the mark in this grade of late behind handy types Cheshire Cat and La Pucelle so from the trailing gate he is sure to acquit himself well. OTHERS: WET PAINT (2) tried hard in a slippery last quarter of 28 when second to Sealed Package at Echuca last week at her first run for Ben Gledhill and she wraps up a trio of strong winning chances. TROTTIN ROSSCO (10), JASMIN ART (12), STYNZ BOY (8) and DASH BOARD LIGHTS (11) have place claims. He should lead these tonight and be nigh on impossible to gun down. DANGER: ROYAL DEVIATE (4) will be nearing his peak now after two runs this time in, the latest of those a luckless effort at Bendigo 10 days ago from an awkward draw behind Real Bonus and with the front line draw tonight expect him to be a major player. OTHERS: CLASSIC ICON (9) has a good turn of foot when saved for one dash at them and if the pace is too hectic up front he looms as the one to cause somewhat of a boil over. WORKTORULE (8), CORMONTY (2) and RIDDLE ME THAT (10) are the next best and rate as blowout chances. He showed good gate speed to lead in his debut victory at Bendigo and draws to continue in his winning way here. DANGER: PERFECT MACH (8) is a Russel Jack-trained son of Mach Three having his first start tonight and he looks to have talent going on his trial success on this circuit last Thursday night in 1:59.2 for this trip. He has the tricky draw to contend with, not to mention BUSINESS IN MOTION (3), but he is to be kept safe first up. OTHERS: SUTTER MAN (5) is a Mick Blackmore-prepared Sutter Hanover gelding on debut who finished third to PERFECT MACH (8) in that same workout mentioned above so he looms as the other one in with a shot at toppling BUSINESS IN MOTION (3). DELIVER THE CASH (1) is the next best. DANGER: PALOMA SPRINGFIELD (7) is a Dave Farrar-prepared Life Sign filly who finished just ahead of ROSEMAY (1) in that same workout mentioned above at her latest trial appearance and should run well with luck from the wide alley. OTHERS: AMANDA VON (9) is an Ifihadyourluck filly with Wayne Sullivan who shaped up well in a recent Coolamon trial and goes in the mix along with GRANGEWOOD RED (6), SOHO NICKS (5) and MEGS KISS (4) who won a Bendigo trial in slow time 9 days ago. A destructive winner on debut at Bendigo, Colin Thomas's son of Courage Under Fire has since gone on to sweep the Breeders Plate Series at Leeton. Harness Racing Victoria form expert Michael Polster has marked Business In Motion the $1.20 favourite in heat two of the Lombo's colts and geldings' division. In heat one for male pacers, well- bred Life Sign gelding Viewpoint holds the call at $1.50 clear of Dashing Dan Lombo ($5) and Enjoythegoodtimes ($6.50). Tallulah Bay is the $1.60 favourite in heat one of the fillies' qualifiers, while the second fillies' heat is much more open with five runners marked at single-figure quotes. Major achievement FORMER Victorian Horse of the Year Melpark Major capped his renaissance by winning the Horsham Pacing Cup on Sunday. Well backed for the $60,000 Group 2 feature after his fourth in December's Victoria Cup, Melpark Major sat outside favourite Smoken Up before snaring his biggest victory since 2008. The Alan Tubbs-trained nine- year-old set a Horsham track record of 2min 1.5sec. Melpark Major may back up in Saturday night's Bendigo Cup but will not contest March's Inter Dominion at Menangle. Trappers Puzzle won the Horsham Trotters Cup from Chuck Wagon and Earl Harbour. Pace yourself FRIDAY night's West Australian Pacing Cup will kick off an outstanding 48 hours of Australian harness action. In Perth, Im Themightyquinn will attempt to avenge his shock last- start defeat at the hands of stablemate Livingontheinterest and win a third successive WA Pacing Cup crown. On Saturday night the action heads to Bendigo and Adelaide, with the $50,000 Bendigo Pacing Cup and $125,000 South Australian Pacing Cup. At Bendigo, Mark Purdon pair Auckland Reactor and Highview Tommy will create plenty of interest, along with former Purdon- trained star Sushi Sushi and Victoria Cup placegetter Mah Sish. At Globe Derby, Smoken Up will aim for a fourth SA Cup title against Victoria Cup winner Caribbean Blaster. Hamilton completes the weekend of racing with its Pacing Cup on Sunday. Savsometimetodream and Mister Sheedy are early nominees. Bonavista comeback ONE-TIME glamour pacer Bonavista Bay has embarked on a low-key comeback in Perth, more than 30 months after his most recent race start. Beaten just once in his three-year- old season before winning the Melton Plate, Golden Nugget and McInerney Classic, Bonavista Bay broke down late in his four-year-old term. But after an encouragingtrial at outer Perth training track Byford on Sunday, the giant son of Rustler Hanover may be on the cusp of an unlikely return. Now seven, Bonavista Bay is being prepared by Mike Reed at Hazelmere.
