She will be close to her peak now, draws to lead or at worst trail KOROBEIT ANGEL (2) and she is the testing material. DANGER: KOROBEIT ANGEL (2) broke gear first up at Mildura 3 weeks ago and took no part behind Nickys Christian before heading to Globe Derby 12 days back where she pulled her way to the lead from her second line draw and did a good job to run third to Hollys Miss Molly in the Mermaid Stakes. She is a high speed filly who will be suited by the short trip here and will take catching should she get the lead. OTHERS: JUDYFREE (11) resumes from a break tonight off the back of a Bendigo trial success 11 days ago in slow time and has place claims along with CHARLI SPRINGFIELD (8), WARRIOR MAC (9), SAME OLD DAY (10) and BRONCO APACHE (6). He has been trialling well at Bendigo recently and should run well first up. DANGER: SINGED (4) only battled behind Major Megs at Bendigo last start but he will find this more his speed and rates highly. OTHERS: SHAKAS IMAGE (11) is a 28-start maiden who has had numerous chances to breakthrough without getting the job done but his turn is coming and he must be included in winning thoughts along with LEIGHMONT (7) and STAR OF PARIS (9). DANGER: MISS RUTHLESS (6) only battled into fourth spot at Charlton last week behind Only A Copy after parking out and she won't find this much easier but if there is to be an upset it will more than likely come from her. OTHERS: ACESNEIGHTS (5) was beaten a long way behind Heza Presidente at Melton last time out but was placed at Kilmore prior and a repeat of that effort will see her in with a shot at filling a place. He won't find this any harder, draws to race up on the pace and looks the yardstick. DANGER: NOVA ARAMA (9) has been crying out to win at this level of late and judging by her excellent third to Lombo Sleek Streak at Charlton last week in 1:56.0 she is not long off breaking through. She may have to go it alone 3-wide late but looks up to the challenge. OTHERS: MELROSE KATE (5) disappointed at Kilmore last time behind Find Time To Cruise but her form prior was well up to winning this and she is worthy of another chance. He has since trialled nicely on this circuit to keep him ticking over, will race up on the pace once more and looks the one to beat in an open contest. DANGER: JUSTALITTLELOOSE (2) is also well-placed here with the claim, this time for Ellen Tormey, and he should prove hard to roll as the lead looks his from the ideal draw and he is sure to take running down. OTHERS: PLEASE DONT TALK (10) broke through for a well overdue win at Kilmore last week and has strong each way claims tonight with chances also given to GO EL ZHAR (8), THE ENDOFTHELINE (3), LOW DOWN (5) and ROJEN DREAM (7). DANGER: THE OLE BUCKAROO (10) resumes from an 8-month break tonight without the benefit of a trial so he is likely to need the hit out but he has a touch of class about him and commands respect first up. OTHERS: IMTHEGUY (12) is having his first start for Shayne Cramp, so he immediately comes under notice, and his form when last in work in South Australia for Les Harding was very good. The draw is a hurdle but he must be kept safe. WOKE UP TIRED (8) has the tricky gate to overcome and will need luck but she rates as an upset chance nonetheless along with DYNAMITE DUDE (5) who hasn't been disgraced at his past two in heats of the Central Victorian Pacing Championship. She will find tonight's assignment an easier one and is the one they have to beat. DANGER: POCKET LEGEND (3) is a speedy beginner who looks like making his way to the pegs first and Greg Sugars will have options available to him thereafter. He was mowed down by Teo Enteo at Cranbourne last start but there is no disgrace in that and he will give ART SHADOW (4) a run for her money. OTHERS: UNCLE WINGNUT (5) ran a nice race for third to Smooth Freddy at Charlton 15 days ago from a wide alley and if things go his way tonight he is capable of taking this out. ADIOS GRYPHON (6) is first up for Glenn Douglas after formerly being prepared by Matt Craven and is the watch runner with IGETAROUND (9) the other one given an upset chance. He's improving with each run and has plenty more wins in store. DANGER: SOHO EASTWOOD (3) is yet to win in twelve runs but has been placed at his last five starts and is overdue a victory. He fought on gamely when third to top performers Ginger Bliss and Timeseel at Maryborough two starts back then did all the work in breeze when a gallant and close third at Cranbourne at his latest run. There isn't much between the above pair. OTHERS: CHRISTIAN SLOY (6) was placed in three of four NSW runs in October/November, the most recent when covering ground in the last lap after a poor beginning at battling on well for second at Penrith. He recently trialled well for new trainer Susan Hunter and completes a trio of strong winning chances. STORMEE (1) and GOHARDORGOHOME (2) are in the place mix at least. SELECTIONS: TRUMAN (4), Soho Eastwood (3), Christian Sloy (6), Gohardorgohome (2). RATINGS:4/3/6/1,2. She was again caught outside the leader when a game second to Sonofpaco at Melton last Friday night and will find the opposition here a little easier. DANGER: MISTER PEPE (5) is a handy four year old who needed his first two runs back from a spell then showed improvement when he led and ran fourth from the mobile here last week. He's better suited from the stand this time and should be cherry ripe for what looks a winnable affair. OTHERS: KYVALLEY CASTLE USA (7) followed handy form with his maiden victory here three weeks ago when he beat moderates in all the way fashion before never being a factor behind Sonofpaco at Melton last week. This is more his cup of tea. GIOIOSA IONICA (9) and REIGN OF DARKNESS (11) looks best of the others. SELECTIONS: DUCHESS PAT (6), Mister Pepe (5), Kyvalley Castle Usa (7), Reign Of Darkness (11). He's improving with each run and looks clearly the measuring stick here. DANGER: JINGLING SILVER (2) hasn't really fired since winning the Victoria Trotters Derby three seasons back, in fact it's almost twelve months since she won her last race. She made late ground for fifth from a Bendigo back mark at her latest run and this time looks ideally suited from the good mobile draw. OTHERS: SHES COMMANDO (7) beat a strong field at Maryborough in November then went for a short break after making a mistake in a hot race at Melton. Despite the wide alley she grades well and will be doing her best work at the finish. CARNLEY NZ (3) was a winner here in November and at Hamilton two starts back but he made a mistake and was tailed off at Charlton lat time. As a winner of two or his four mobile tries he looks well suited here and completes a quartet of strong winning chances. RED HOT CHILLI (6) looks the only other possible ñ she won at Melton and was placed at Bendigo before doing things wrong and her latest two outings, but if on her best behaviour, she can trouble her better fancied rivals. SELECTIONS: SANDYS BOY (4), Jingling Silver (2), Shes Commando (7), Carnley (3). RATINGS:4/2/3,7?/6? SUGGESTED BET: SANDYS BOY (4) to win. 4 Stevens Concreting 3.35 1690m. $5000. Placed in strong races back to back at Melton earlier last month, he found the lead and was never threatened when finishing off in 56.7 to score at Ballarat three weeks ago at his latest run, and despite the wide alley certainly looks the one they have to best. DANGER: LATERRON (6) won five of her first six starts when coming from Tasmania late last season but although she's raced well in recent times, hasn't been able to break through for an elusive victory in six starts this term. She had good Melton Friday night form before her last start second from the breeze in a stand here last week when fighting on strongly at the end of a 56.6 last half to beat all but the in-form Vinni Gambino. OTHERS: ADVANCE TO GO (2) led all the way to score at Maryborough two starts back before only battling from the one- one when fourth in a fast Bendigo sprint affair last week. He has gate speed and is sure to be prominent here over the sprint trip. SHIFTING SAND (4) won four races last season and race a slashing second at Melton to Savesometimetodream in October before back-to-back fourths there and he'll be improved by two runs back from a short break. SELECTIONS: MISTER SHEEDY (7), Laterron (6), Advance To Go (2), Shifting Sand (4). RATINGS:7/6/2/4/1/3,5? SUGGESTED BET: MISTER SHEEDY (7) to win. 5 Mr Rental Handicap 4.13 2150m. $5000. Luckless first up at Melton early last month, he then sat in the breeze most of the way and succumbed to a 27.6 third split when an honest fourth to Ballochbuie and Restrepo in a Maryborough stand, then found trouble not of his own making at Bendigo last time. DANGER: LAUGHING HOLME NZ (5) has a good record from the stand and looks ideally suited. He comes off a Bendigo win and two placing there from the mobile, and will find this easier than when trying to hold off Now Shezaterror NZ at Bendigo last Saturday night. OTHERS: FUSION NZ (9) broke through for an overdue win when following Yarra Valley and Melton placings with a solid finish off a wide last lap trail to score at Melton last Friday night. He's a dual winner from the stand and has an excellent each way chance. JOHNNY DIAMOND (4), who's won five times from behind the tapes, has been luckless in recent efforts and will appreciate being one of only four runners on the front line. Also in the mix are handy performer ONE MORE SMILE (7) who's won two recent races at Shepparton and is a winner from his only standing start try; and LIGHT IN EVERY DAY (8) who hit the line well when trailing from the rear and third to Regal Knight at Melton last Friday night. SELECTIONS: CROMAC JAMIE (10), Laughing Holme (5), Fusion (9), Johnny Diamond (4). RATINGS:10/5,9/4,7,8/2,11. SUGGESTED BET: CROMAC JAMIE NZ (10) to win. 6 Mazzetti Painting 4.53 1690m. $5000. Never a factor but not disgraced from the back row in the final, he followed with a Charlton sixth last time when sitting in the breeze outside The Noble Steed. This is a huge class drop from those four runs and he'll be mighty hard to beat as the likely leader over the sprint trip. DANGER: IM JENSEN NZ (1) (ElsuñSheza Lady) is a Rebecca Cartwright trained 4yo gelding having his first start. A recent Yarra Valley trial winner, his connections have found a truly winnable race for his racetrack debut. OTHERS: TROTTING ROSSCO (12) has made mistakes in five of his six starts to date with the one time he did go around cleanly being when coming from the rear and runner up at Echuca first up for Geoff Martin a couple of weeks back. He galloped in the last lap at Shepparton last week but should he do it right here, he has genuine claims. ART PREVAILS (6) has been mixing with some handy three year old in recent starts and will find the class drop here in his favour. A highly talented three year old, he's won five of six with his only defeat being when runner up to the talented Flaming Flutter at Melton early last month. He followed with a fast finishing victory there then led and threw a 27.9 last quarter at his rivals to score at Ballarat a fortnight ago when beating winner since Narree Belle. DANGER: MR MCARDLE NZ (1) was most impressive when scoring at Hamilton a month ago then only plodded when fourth a Bendigo last Satursday night but from the pole, he'll bounce back well.
