He has trialled well at Tabcorp Park recently and could make this a winning debut from his awkward draw. DANGER: LOCAL VICKA LOMBO (9) was runner up over the short trip here three starts back and has been thereabouts since. Go well. OTHERS: BRECTA (2) was a better run last start at Maryborough when placed and should be primed after two runs from a break. COOKED BOOKS (10) won at Bendigo before racing in tougher opposition at Globe Derby. Don t dismiss. Trifecta chances to AMELIA MARIE (1) from the ideal draw, BANDAN (5) who is resuming and won a recent Kilmore trial and STORMEE (12). She did win on debut over the short trip just over twelve months ago and could be the value runner. DANGER: LAVRA FLORENCE (5) has the form on the board placed at all four starts from a spell. A good second at Melton over the short trip in fast time after doing plenty of work makes her hard to beat. OTHERS: RHINESTONE COWGIRL (8) could have the last shot at them along the sprint lane. She is honest so should be in your multiple calculations. IN THE PRESENT (6) was checked last time but his prior two give him a place chance. Chances to COMEON GETALIFE (4) and LINE OFCREDIT (11). A repeat effort will see him hard to hold out. DANGER: Although drawn wide you can never discount one from the Chris Lang stable. KYVALLEY CASTLE (7) won three starts back at Kilmore and was placed there last time. OTHERS: ROSALIE BAY (6) resumed with an all the way win from the stand over this trip and has broken at her past two. Mobile could suit, go well. SOUTHPORT CEE (4) who is resuming off a recent trial win and was thereabouts before the break, should be included in multiples along with SUNSET TOUR (8) who has struck trouble at both runs from a break. Fitter for two runs since arriving from NZ, he will take running down again. DANGER: This is a huge drop back in class for TRUE HAPPINESS (3) from the Central Vic Final. Won well three starts back, the definite danger. OTHERS: KRIPTONIK (5) has been thereabouts at his past two, include in multiples along with THE SMIRKER (7) a winner at Cranbourne three starts back from outside the leader. DANGER: BEL VU AYESHA (9) has a second row draw but was better at her last two and the John Justice stable is in good form. OTHERS: SITA KHAN (7) has drawn poorly and will find this tougher than a first up all the way win at Mildura. Has claims. OK TO FLY (4) has been thereabouts since arriving on our shores. She was just beaten over the short trip last time and this longer journey will suit. DANGER: MORE THAN ALRIGHT (9) has shown ability being placed at her first three starts when her manners let her down. She resumes here of a recent Kilmore trial win so expect her to be right there at the finish. OTHERS: TUSCANY EYRE (3) will be much better for her debut effort at Maryborough when runner up over the short trip in good time. CRUSADER ACEY (11) should be right after two runs from a spell. BLAZEAWAY MACRAY Speedy conveyance had no peace in front first-up at Ballarat but battled on bravely regardless. She'll be improved and should show up next time out. THE HEROES CHRIS ALFORD Dominated Derby heats at Melton, including brilliant drive on Macha MAH SISH Breathtaking at Ballarat and on his way to stardom GREG SUGARS Five wins from six drives on Wednesday at Maryborough BALLARAT TROTTING CLUB Another cup success for the Bray Raceway team KARLOO MICK 12-year-old phenomenon an Inter Dominion smoky again SPRINT LANE with JASON BONNINGTON Rising star: Mah Sish has shortened from $10 to $4.60 for Saturday night's Hunter Cup. Impressive: Dr Hook advances with a narrow win. Sish big shortener BURGEONING stayer Mah Sish is TAB third favourite for the A.G. Hunter Cup and the Inter Dominion after his breathtaking Ballarat Cup success on Friday night. A rising star across the Tasman who placed fourth in November's New Zealand Cup, Tim Butt's son of Mach Three has thrived since his shift to Australia and now has the sport's richest races in his sights. A $10 chance in next weekend's Group 1 Hunter Cup before Friday night, Mah Sish is now $4.60, while his Inter Dominion quote has been slashed from $101 to $7.50 since markets were framed. Champion driver Anthony Butt, who already has six Hunter Cup triumphs to his name, paid homage to the stable's latest star after his career-defining win at Bray Raceway. ''He's just got better and better in the 12 months we've had him,'' Butt said. ''He's just stepped up to the mark the last three or four months and gone to a different level. ''He'll definitely go the Hunter Cup next week. That's the main race we have come here for.'' Sushi Sushi remains favourite for the Hunter Cup at $3.80 despite his second agonising Ballarat Cup defeat in as many years, while Caribbean Blaster is second elect at $4.40. Caribbean Blaster is one of four nominees for the $400,000 feature to receive a 10m handicap. The others are the Mark Purdon-trained pair Auckland Reactor and Highview Tommy and NSW star Terrorway. Victoria's richest race night, Saturday's Hunter Cup meeting at Tabcorp Park, will have free entry and will be highlighted by three Group 1 races. Alford on a high LEGENDARY reinsman Chris Alford put on a clinic at Melton on Saturday night, winning all three Victoria Derby heats and reminding punters why he's the state's leading driver. Alford's Derby domination began with the vastly improved Lennytheshark, before a regulation triumph with Guaranteed. But his finest moment of the night came in the final heat aboard Macha. Drawn barrier 12 in the night's strongest heat, Alford and Macha found the front within 600m of the start before handing over to Bit Of A Legend and outsprinting that horse in the lane. Despite their dramatic victory, Alford will jump off Macha to continue his association with Guaranteed, the Victoria Derby's $2.40 TAB favourite, in Saturday night's final. ''I was impressed with all three horses, but Macha may have had his grand final on the weekend. And Guaranteed seems to have a little bit on the others at this stage,'' Alford said. ''As long as we don't draw inside the back line on Tuesday, I think he's the one they have to beat.'' Dr Hook sings CLASSY Kiwi Dr Hook will be the testing material in the Australasian Trotting Championship final at Melton on Saturday night after an impressive heat win at Ballarat on Friday. Forced to face the breeze outside Inter Dominion placegetter Kasyanov, Dr Hook reeled off a 57.7sec last half for his narrow but impressive success. The Geoff Webster-trained pacer-turned-trotter Mister Zion won the other championship heat and will seek to become the first dual- gaited Group 1 winner at the weekend.
