She was a little risky early in her career but seems to be putting it all together now and this looks a great race for her. DANGER: FRAMEWORKES PRIDE (5) has snared the silver medal at both of her runs this time in, leading on both occasions, and she looks ready to win so expect her to be a threat. OTHERS: CONARTIST (9) mixed it with some handy ones on 5 starts last season and resumes tonight off the back of a Maryborough trial success 9 days ago from behind the strands so include him in winning thoughts along with WORTHERLY (4) and SALUTE THE WIND (12). RATINGS: 3/ 5,9/ 4,12/ 8,7/ 1,6/ 2,11 SUGGESTED BET: BITTEN BY WALHALLA (3) to win 2 Schweppes Pace 7.00 1650m. $5000. He is a speedy beginner who looks like crossing to the pegs first here and whether in front or behind the leader he will get his chance to breakthrough for a well-deserved win. DANGER: IMA LUCKY GUY (2) couldn't get into it behind Dam Lucky at Maryborough last Thursday but he did finish runner up to smart types La Pucelle and Illawong Travel on this circuit three and four runs back so he should run well in this from the nice draw. OTHERS: FOREVER ARMA (8) has an awkward gate to overcome but must be given consideration on her last start second to Illawong Geraldine at Melton with EARLS REIGN (9) and V C DEVIL (7) wrapping up the winning chances. RATINGS: 6/ 2,8/ 9,7/ 4,10,5/ 1,3 SUGGESTED BET: SPORTY MAC (6) to win 3 Win Tv 3YO Pace 7.30 1650m. $5000. 3yo 3C0 Only RBD Mobile 1 75695 ART PREVAILS Jodi Quinlan Fr 21.00 2 3s642 ROGERS JOY Glenn Douglas Fr 2.20 3 7594s OUR DARTESIAN John Caldow Fr 12.00 4 08s0 SCOUTIE PLUM Mark Hayes Fr 51.00 5 68s4 YERRINGTON BOB Brett Bunfield Fr 15.00 6 s5334 EXOTIC NATIVE David Moran (C) Fr 2.70 7 8s045 REALY UNDER FIRE Chris Svanosio Fr 8.00 Second Line 8 5s OUR MISTICO Lance Justice Fr 26.00 9 33s57 MANTAR Matthew Gath Fr 10.00 TOP PICK: ROGERS JOY (2) comes off a narrow second to quality filly Courageousnquick at Shepparton 10 days back which followed handy efforts behind Macha at Hamilton and Askmehow here at her other two runs back from a break. She should be ready to show her best now and with the barrier draw advantage over her main rival she gets the nod. DANGER: EXOTIC NATIVE (6) has had the four runs this campaign for solid efforts behind the likes of Our Missionary Man, Supaliner, Truman and Lotsa Life so to say that he will appreciate this class of horse is an understatement. The draw isn't ideal but no matter where he ends up in the run he should still be in the finish. OTHERS: REALY UNDER FIRE (7), MANTAR (9), OUR DARTESIAN (3), YERRINGTON BOB (5), ART PREVAILS (1) and OUR MISTICO (8) will be fighting it out for minor prize money. She looks primed for a first up kill and this looks right up her alley. DANGER: PELLING (4) has shown improvement at his past two runs at Maryborough behind Rockstar Ruler and Only A Copy and is working up to another win. He does grade well here being a 6-time victor and should be dangerous. OTHERS: GOFORZOE (2) ran her best race for a while when third to Tannissa at Charlton last start and can get into the placings once more along with BARACKS ANGEL (5), IMA VILLAGE CASPER (9), SATISFIED GRIN (10), KNOW ONE (6) and SUPERBARBY (8). DANGER: PATRIQUE (1) had a tough run at Swan Hill last time and did a good job to run fourth to Nova Arama in 1:57.2 for the sprint trip and if he can begin well enough to hold the back of THE OLE BUCKAROO (2) then he is in with a shot via the passing lane. OTHERS: IM GEORGE W (10) boxed on OK for fifth to Loose Wire at Kilmore last start after working mid-race but he seems to be better when saved for one crack at them so if he gets the right drag into it he can be a threat. MEET ME IN SEATTLE (9) and ART WIZARD (3) are the next best. RATINGS: 2/ 1/ 10/ 9,3/ 11/ 6,4,5/ 8,7 SUGGESTED BET: THE OLE BUCKAROO (2) to win 6 Evolve Accounting Trot 9.00 2150m. $5000. He probably isn't firing on all cylinders at present but this does look a race he should be mighty hard to beat in. DANGER: DUCHESS PAT (2) hasn't finished further back than third at her past 9 outings and is a model of consistency. She normally begins well from the mobile and if she can kick up and hold the lead from the pole then she is sure to take plenty of running down. OTHERS: FLYING MAORI (8) will be hoping DUCHESS PAT (2) can hold the front as that will give him the run of the race, which is where he was when defeating Chevaux Rainbow (winner since) at Kilmore two back. Include him in chances along with BEEFOUR (4), CLARRIE STONE (5) and KYVALLEY RAIN (3). He will obviously find this easier, draws to advantage and is the testing material in a race of some depth. DANGER: LE RAPIDE (6) gets in well with the claim for Sammy Kilgour and this guy will also appreciate a drop in class after competing in strong races at Melton and Ballarat at his past three. He will need a bit to go his way from the tricky gate but will be a major player with the right luck. OTHERS: FUNNY CAR (10) is a quality 4YO resuming from a break without the benefit of a trial so he is likely to need this hit out but he did mix it with some of the best 3YO's going around last season and must be respected in this fresh. IM NODDY (9) went wire-to-wire here three back and is given an each way show from the nice trailing barrier with JACCKA TOM (1) and SHANDON VILLAGE (7) the other ones in with a shot. She resumes tonight off the back of recent trial wins at Shepparton and Cranbourne so she looks ready to roll first up and is the yardstick. DANGER: MUST BE NICE (1) kicked off his 3YO term at Ballarat 13 days ago with a moderate fifth to Our Femme Fatale where he couldn't go with that classy filly at the end of a 27.3 final quarter but he will derive benefit from that outing and has the barrier draw advantage over IM SMOULDERING (4). OTHERS: FEARLESS COURAGE (8) beat home MUST BE NICE (1) in that same Ballarat contest mentioned above when third to Our Femme Fatale and with a cheap run on the pegs once more he looms as the upset material. (C,cl) - Claiming concession driver Right on pace WITH wins in the Des McQueen Classic and Tatlow Stakes, Im Smouldering, who resumes at Bendigo tonight, was one of Victoria's finest two-year-old fillies last term. Throw in her narrow Vicbred Super Series second placing and Breeders Crown heat win and it's fair to say she produced a list of achievements to equal any juvenile filly in the state. Despite that, the daughter of Bettors Delight was overlooked for nomination in the Victorian Two- Year-Old Filly of the Year category last October, an accolade won by Glenferrie Shuffle. This evening John Yeomans' underrated pacer begins an Oaks campaign set to ensure she is not ignored this time around. Marked the $1.70 favourite by Harness Racing Victoria form expert Michael Polster, Im Smouldering looks set for a virtual match race with Must Be Nice ($2.20) in tonight's final event. Sushi scratched SEVEN-time Group 1 winner Sushi Sushi has been scratched from Saturday night's A.G. Hunter Cup. The $4 favourite for this weekend's Grand Circuit classic prior to his removal, Freddy Taiba's son of Art Major was found to be suffering a cold following his narrow Ballarat Cup defeat on Friday night. Caribbean Blaster, Mah Sish and Bitobliss are now fighting out favouritism for Melton's blue riband race valued at $400,000. There are no such dramas surrounding the $200,000 Victoria Derby final, with Guaranteed a solid $2.50 favourite before markets were suspended. Saturday night's A.G. Hunter Cup meeting is Victoria's richest, with more than $800,000 to be won across the 10-race card. Dream run JEAN Phillipe Dubois has extended an extraordinary family tradition by claiming the Prix D'Amerique with Royal Dream in Paris on Sunday night. Both Dubois' father Jean Pierre and his younger brother Jean Etienne had already won the race, often considered harness racing's greatest global prize, at Vincennes. Trotting an equal race record time of 1min 55.4sec, Royal Dream won his first Prix D'Amerique by two lengths and will now return to stud like many European trotters in coming months. Inter hots up IF Inter Dominion heat night, February 16, wasn't exciting enough with five heats in 90 minutes throughout Australasia, Harness Racing Victoria has added another element. In a bid to promote the punting aspect of the sport to add to the Good Form campaign, HRV will run a tipping competition at Tabcorp Park. Details will be released soon, but essentially, harness punting enthusiasts will be encouraged to participate either solo or part of a team on course at Melton. It is expected several high profile industry players will formulate some of the teams. Among the features at Melton will be the Victorian Inter Dominion heat, the 4YO Bonanza and the Ladyship Cup.
