He has the car park draw to overcome here and will need to do some work but he is an honest type who has the ability to do it tough. DANGER: WARRIOR MAC (5) is only lightly-raced but shows promise and he should be competitive in this. He ran a nice race at Echuca three runs ago when second to Soho Eastwood after setting the pace and with the right run in transit tonight he can be dangerous. OTHERS: VILLAGE ART (1) ran his best race to date at Shepparton last start when second to McRita where he worked to the lead from a wide alley, handed up to that filly and tried hard in the straight at the end of a 27.4 final quarter. He has the gate speed to be prominent throughout from the pole draw and rates highly. MY LISHI (6) is a handy filly who resumes from a break and must be given consideration along with WHITE SANDS (9) who will be better for his first up effort at Mildura last Wednesday night. CARRAMAR CHIEF (4), IDLE HANDS (3), CLASSY GUY (2) and PENTAL CRACKER (8) can place. RATINGS: 7/ 5/ 1,6,9/ 4,3,2/ 8 SUGGESTED BET: WITZEND (7) each way on a 1 x 3 basis 2 Vicbred Platinum 7.00 1609m. $7000. He draws to advantage tonight, may have the gate speed to get to the pegs first and from there Mick Bellman will give him every chance. DANGER: LEIGHMONT (1) comes off a C0 series where he was a dominant heat winner at Kilmore from the front end first up for Glenn Douglas and he was expected to repeat the dose in the final at Melton 11 days ago but weakened out of it behind Chiquita Bromac after again setting the pace. He isn't a brilliant beginner and is a big chance of being headed off from the ace alley but he still should get a cheap run on the pegs must be given a strong chance. OTHERS: EYES ON THE SKY (4) ran a cracking race at Mildura last time when a game second to Washington Heritage after doing all of the work in the breeze and will go close in this with a repeat of that performance. ACESNEIGHTS (8) looks the only other possible with NOLAGALILE (6) and SHERPA STAR (7) having place claims. RATINGS: 2/ 1/ 4/ 8/ 6,7/ 3,5 SUGGESTED BET: ONE WISE MAN (2) to win 3 Alabar Bloodstock 7.30 2240m. $6000. He finally gets a front row draw, should have little trouble speeding to the lead and from there his rivals will be eating his dust. DANGER: GOTALOTOFSPEED (6) was forced to face the breeze at Shepparton last start and weakened out of it behind Real Bonus in 1:55.4 for the sprint trip but she did win her previous two runs back from a break in fine style and looks the clear second pick. OTHERS: ALDEBARAN BLUECHIP (4) has been going well at Mildura since being taken over by Shayne Cramp a few months back and she is a must for your exotics tonight along with last start Mildura winner VILLAGE SPIRIT (7) and the resuming ROCKETS REVENGE (5) who trialled OK here last Wednesday. RATINGS: 3/ 6/ 4,7/ 5/ 9,2,8/ 1 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifectas 3/ 6/ 4,5,7 and 3/ 4,5,7/ 6 ($15 on each will have you going for 500%) 4 Alabar Bloodstock 8.00 2240m. $6000. He will be improved by that outing, will find this easier and is the one to beat despite the extreme alley. DANGER: REAL MAGIC (2) is a handy Shayne Cramp-trainee who is first up tonight off the back of an easy Mildura trial success 11 days ago. He was beaten a number of times as a short-priced favourite last campaign but comes up with the ideal draw here and is sure to be hard to get past. OTHERS: WELL OILED LOMBO (1) was a strong Ouyen winner three back and his two runs since behind quality types The Noble Steed at Charlton and Imtheguy at Mildura have been quite good. He has the ace alley up his sleeve, should get a cheap run off the pace and is in with an upset chance. DREAM LA VITA (3) didn't have a great deal of luck at Mildura last time when down the track behind Our Walden Bury but he did win his previous two on that circuit well and looks the only other one in with a shot. RATINGS: 7/ 2/ 1/ 3/ 5,4/ 8/ 9/ 6 SUGGESTED BET: CLASSY WESTERN (7) to win 5 Sh Stockfeeds 8.30 1609m. $5000. He will need a bit to go his way from the tricky gate over the sprint trip but he will be right in the finish should he get the right luck. DANGER: LORD COBURN (8) has been airborne this campaign and brought up his third win this time in at Mildura last Wednesday night where he led his rivals a merry dance over the short course in a new PB of 1:58.7. He goes best when he can lead so the draw isn't ideal but he still should be a major player. OTHERS: PLEASE DONT TALK (1) returns to Glenn Douglas after a fruitless stint in Sydney with John McCarthy where she was unplaced in two runs at Menangle earlier this month but she had been going well prior to that and must be given a chance from the pole draw. SHOT FROM THE HIP (4) looks the other strong winning hope with IMA GRUMPY JASPER (3) not totally hopeless. ADIOS GRYPHON (7), LATOYA LASS (2) and PANESAR (6) can place. He draws to advantage tonight, should race in or near the lead and is the testing material. DANGER: FOUR SISTERS (5) has been in sparkling form for Shayne Cramp of late and followed up her brilliant South Australian Oaks triumph at Globe Derby with and easy Mildura victory last Wednesday night. She has plenty of early speed, is a chance of getting to the pegs first and if that scenario unfolds she has a great chance of knocking off her stable mate. OTHERS: CINDER PATH (1) ran a nice race first up from a break at Charlton when fourth to the flying Beau Dandy and followed that up with an all-the-way Mildura success two weeks ago over Miss Ruthless (winner since) so from the perfect gate she has to be given an upset chance. ALL CHARGED UP (9) will find this harder than his latest Mildura win but he has really struck form and is the other one given a blowout hope. RARE SURPRISE (6), THE OPEN (8) and FINEDROPOFRED (7) can place. He gets into this well with the claim for Josh Duggan and although he has the car park draw this time around he looks more than capable of doing the work in the run and still coming out on top. DANGER: ONEONTHEWOOD (4) looked sharp winning at Mildura first up from a break two weeks back and was expected to repeat the dose there last Wednesday night but broke gear and had to be retired from the event. That was unfortunate for his backers that night but he can make amends here. OTHERS: HUCHI FELLA (3) hasn't had much go his way of late from poor draws but he comes up with a suitable gate here and is sure to be more competitive. He went back-to-back at Mildura last month so keep him safe. MARIA CATERINA (6), BLISSFULL HART (8) and ONE DOG ONE BONE (1) can place. Their campaign to end that drought begins at Swan Hill tonight. The brothers were previously the championship's dominant performers with four wins in five years. Glenn Douglas is again targeting the C1 to C2 series, this time with Itsnewstome. A former Kiwi pacer with four wins in his homeland, the five-year- old will start in heat four of the championship after a winning Aussie debut last Tuesday. Rated the $2.50 favourite by Harness Racing Victoria form expert Michael Polster, Itsnewstome will face stiff opposition from the Shayne Cramp-trained Oneonthewood at $2.70. Team Cramp snared the Northern Region Championship trifecta last year and will have eight heat runners at Swan Hill tonight. Blast shortens VICTORIA Cup winner Caribbean Blaster was the big winner at yesterday's Inter Dominion barrier draw --- and may challenge for favouritism after landing gate two. A slight drifter after his Geelong Cup defeat at the weekend, Andy Gath's stable star shortened from $8to$5afterthedrawandisa clear third favourite for Sunday's race at Menangle. Dual NZ Cup winner Terror To Love shares favouritism with two- time Inter Dominion champion Im Themightyquinn at $3.20, while Mah Sish eased from $6 to $7.50 after landing barrier one. The shock scratching of I Can Doosit from Sunday's Glenferrie Farm Challenge at Menangle and Great Southern Star at Melton on March 23 will ensure both races are wide open. Victorian star I Didnt Do It fared well at the Challenge draw, getting barrier two. Kiwi superstar Stig landed barrier seven. Swedish debut SWEDISH squaregaiter Ridgehead Cahore may kick off his Great Southern Star campaign at Melton on Friday night. An outstanding performer in Europe, Ridgehead Cahore arrived in the country on Australia Day. If he accepts, he will bring an international flavour to Friday night's action, taking on Earl Of Mot and Elegant Image in his first Australian outing. His Norwegian trainer, Terje Melnas, will have his first local race drive at Shepparton. He will take the reins on Kyvalley Rap in race one tomorrow night. Blog's big plans HARNESS Racing Victoria's Good Form blog will go mainstream this weekend, with three Game Plans in the Sunday Herald Sun's Inter Dominion liftout. HRV form gurus Michael Polster, Bill Hutchison and Jason Bonnington will deliver a punting strategy for Super Sunday at Menangle, which features seven Group 1 races. Other elements of the blog will also feature in Sunday's four-page spread, including Trainer Talk and Black Bookers, to help punters find a winner at the big meeting. To follow the blog, visit goodform.hrv.org.au or click the Good Form tab under wagering on the Australian harness site.
