HERALDSUN.COM.AU FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2013 41 + + FB123 C M Y K DHS 15-MAR-2013 PAGE 41 FIRST Love her madly: The in-form Loveyamadly is well drawn and well weighted in the 1200m Listed Abell Stakes at Moonee Valley tonight. .com.au TODAY Swan Hill P56 TONIGHT Moonee Valley P43 TOMORROW Bendigo P45 TOMORROW Warwick Farm P42 ADAM'S MULTI DOUBLE ASSAIL $2.60 Warwick Farm tomorrow R4 No.1 Not seen since scratched from the Magic Millions when a hot favourite. Has a big class edge here. PROISIR $3 Warwick Farm tomorrow R6 No.3 Star three-year-old last spring who made an eye-catching return behind Pierro last start. Steps up to 1600m, where he is unbeaten, and has a big class edge on his rivals. MULTI ODDS: $7.80 Moonee Valley Tonight TRACK: Dead (4) FIRST RACE: 6.45pm FEATURE AUSTRALIAN RACES 9.15pm: Group 2 $223,500 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m), Moonee Valley 2.30pm: $250,000 VOBIS Gold Rush (1000m), Bendigo 3.50pm: $152,000 Yalumba Golden Mile (1600m), Bendigo 4.10pm: $500,000 Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m, 3yo), Warwick Farm 4.30pm: $151,500 Bendigo Guineas (3yo), Bendigo 4.50pm: $175,000 Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m, wfa), Warwick Farm COVERAGE: TV: Foxtel --- 519 Sky Racing 1, 521 Sky Racing World, 522 TVN. RADIO: Radio Sport National (927) WHO'S HOT CRAIG WILLIAMS put on a clinic at Flemington last Saturday, riding three outright winners --- Montsegur, Flying Snitzel and Crystal Web --- and a dead-heater in Budriguez. He also rode two close seconds in Spirit Song and Star Of Giselle. He took that form to Morphettville on Monday, where he was successful on Charles In Charge and Gold Sand. He has only two rides at Moonee Valley tonight --- TWIN SOUL (R1, No.10) and MR CHARD (R7, No.10). Tomorrow at Bendigo he has seven rides, with the best being ICONIC (R5, No.1) and imported gallopers RANKED (R7, No.11) and SYSMO (R9, No.18). Michael Manley ON THE TROT HIS reputation as Victoria's country Cups king is secure, but the American-bred MY HIGH EXPECTATIONS will need to exceed even that distinction in tonight's Australian Trotting Grand Prix at Tabcorp Park, Melton. A winner of this season's Ouyen Cup, Wangaratta Cup and McNamara Memorial, David Aiken's son of Ken Warkentin is one of Victoria's most exciting trotters. But with Great Southern Star qualifiers such as I DIDNT DO IT, VULCAN and STIG among his opposition tonight, he'll need a career-best performance to figure in the finish. My High Expectations' own Great Southern Star prospects will also go on the line tonight. Currently unqualified for the $350,000 series, he will need to win or at least substantially lift his prizemoney earnings to ensure his place in the race. HARNESS HOTLINE PAGE 49 TAB JACKPOTS THERE is a $15,000 BIG6 jackpot at Tabcorp Park, Melton, tonight. The first leg is Race 3, which jumps at 6.10pm. THE EARLY OIL 1 VITTORIA (2) is a classy mare who has been competitive in Group 1 staying races with a third in the Queensland Oaks and a fourth in the VRC Oaks. Resumed from spell with good run-on effort to win over 1770m at Pakenham last start. FRIDAY HUSSY (3) ran on well for second behind Word Gets Around at Sandown Hillside last start. BLUE RIBBON (1) finished fairly over 1600m here last start and may be looking for 2040m. Import BAQAAT (6) is showing staying talent. SUGGESTED BET: Vittoria the win. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Nil. 2 KINESTHETIC (3) is racing well. Finished strongly with a light weight on Mornington Cup day in a 78 class race to make it two wins on end. Finished second here three starts ago over 1533m. SURFACE TENSION (8) looked likely to win at Colac last start, but wobbled off on the turn. Blinkers go on for the first time. MAGICAL KING (6) battled on well last start behind frontrunner Rambert at Sandown. FRESH LIGHT (7) next best. SUGGESTED BET: Box exacta 3,6,7 and 8. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Nil. 3 CRUDEN BAY (4) was heavily backed and impressed with his all- the-way win at Bendigo at his debut. EXCITABLE BOY (1) won comfortably over the useful Mount Zero last start at stakes level and comes in nicely on set weights. Watch for any betting moves on the two Fastnet Rock first starters in leading stables --- colt VERO BEACH (7) with Mark Kavanagh and filly JUDICIAL ROCK (8) with Leon Corstens. SUGGESTED BET: Cruden Bay the win. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Cruden Bay $3-$2.80 ($1000 @ $3). 4 SARI (5) is racing consistently with two wins at her first two runs this time in. They were followed by a close second to General Peekay at Mornington and a third on a heavy track at Sandown behind the smart Lonhspresso, who was an impressive winner at Morphettville on Monday. Sari is likely to take up a more forward position in this. WE OWN AN ANGEL (6) ran second in the Sandown race and is also a promising, consistent filly. SUMAKARAY (1) has a great strike rate and defeated Avoid Lightning here two starts ago. EPHEMARA (4) was slow to begin and ran on well when placed here last start behind Easy To Look At. SUGGESTED BET: Sari each-way. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Nil. 5 Former Darwin flying machine DREAM FACE (1) resumes and will take catching. Led throughout for two wins at Caulfield at first two runs for Peter Moody before rising in class at her last two runs. Ideally drawn in barrier two. LADY MELKSHAM (2) is a classy mare resuming. Should get a good run on the speed and finish strongly. CHINZIA (6) is racing well this track/distance. Just beaten by Shamal Wind two starts ago and then chased speedy Fab Fevola for third last start. HONEY FLOWER (3) showed great improvement last time in and resumes after stakes win at Flemington in spring. SUGGESTED BET: Dream Face the win. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Nil. 6 SHEER TALENT (2) is a promising stayer in the making. Worked from outside draw to sit outside leader and fought on well for third in the Australian Guineas behind Ferlax and You're So Good. HVASSATAN (1) and PHILIPI (3) both gave away huge starts in the Australian Guineas and ran on well for fourth and sixth respectively. Both suited by extra distance. David Hayes has two promising stayers in BASS STRAIT (4), who also ran well for fifth in Australian Guineas, and a last-start Sandown winner in GERONTIUS (5). SUGGESTED BET: Sheer Talent the win. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Hvasstan $3.50-$3.20 (2000 @ $3.50). 7 LOVEYAMADLY (8) is racing in great fashion with three wins and a second from four starts this time in. Defeated smart mare Avoid Lightning last start. Well drawn and well weighted in this. FREERETURN (3) returns to his favourite track. Not disgraced last start in the Oakleigh Plate. IT'S CRUNCH TIME (9) also loves the Valley. EIGHT BILLS (11) has had little luck in recent starts. OUTLANDISH LAD (1) was unlucky at Group 2 level when third in the Group 2 Australia Stakes here. SUGGESTED BET: Loveyamadly the win. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Freereturn $9-$8 ($1000 e/w @ $9, $500 @ $8). 8 LORD DURANTE (6) kept improving at each run at his first preparation culminating in a win at Terang and then a six-length win at Ballarat over 1600m late last year. Resumes and could be a horse going places. DAYBREAK (1) is a talented performer who didn't have much luck last start at Sandown. REIGNING LASS (12) and POITIER (7) also have strong claims. SUGGESTED BET: Lord Durante each-way. TAB FIXED ODDS MARKET MOVERS: Nil. MICHAEL MANLEY'S TIPS BEST BET: LOVEYAMADLY (R7 No.8) QUADDIE: 1,2,3,6 / 1,2,3,4,5 / 3,8,9,11 / 1,6,7,12. Cost: $100 for 31.25 per cent. BEST VALUE: LORD DURANTE (R8 No.6) BIG 6: 1,4 / 1,3,4,5,6,9 / 1,2 / 1,2,3,4,5 /3,8/1,6. Cost: $100 for 20.83 per cent.
