DANGER: MCARDLES ART (8) doesn't win too often but he is normally around the mark in whatever he contests and he should be dangerous in this from his handy trailing draw. OTHERS: LIFESHORTGOHARD (4) gets the opportunity to improve tonight as he is a chance of finding the lead and he is added to the list of those in with an upset show along with WRINKLE KNUTT (5) and JUST KEEP SAFE (10). LARRY BARRY (2) can place. RATINGS:9/8/4/5/10/2/3/6/7/1 SUGGESTED BET: ELQUE (9) to win 2 Best For Less Pace 6.29 1790m. $5000. He hasn't had a trial hit out for the new stable so it is hard to know exactly where he is at but if anywhere near the mark first up he should beat this lot. DANGER: EYES ON THE SKY (8) finished second to Washington Heritage here four back in fast time for this trip and hasn't been too bad in three runs since so if there is to be an upset it will more than likely come from this bloke. OTHERS: WESTERN KARAMEA (6) looks the only other one in with a shot with place hopes going to WALK WITH KINGS (1), CAN BUT DREAM (4), BETTATOBELUCKY (7) and GUARD DUTY (10). RATINGS:9/8/6/1/4/7/10/2 SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY TARZAN (9) to win 3 Harness Breeders Vic Pace 7.00 1790m. $5500. She gets into this well with the claim for Bec Bartley and she is tough enough to do the work in the run from the back row draw and still come out on top. DANGER: ALDEBARAN BLUECHIP (6) is also well in here with the claim for Jake Kerridge and she has excellent form for a race of this nature so respect her, bad barrier and all. OTHERS: MISS RUTHLESS (2) was terrific in defeat behind Primo Tapia here last Wednesday night and with the lead her likely spot from the sweet gate expect her to be hard to catch. VAN CELOT ROBYN (5) and YELSPA (7) have place prospects. RATINGS:9/6/2/5/7/11/10/8/1/3 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 2,6,9/ 2,6,9/ 2,5,6,7,9 ($36 gets you 200%) 4 Discount Carpets Pace 7.30 2190m. $5500. He has the second row draw this time around and will have to earn it but he is clearly the testing material. DANGER: HAVE A BENDER (3) ran a cracking race behind JAMIES BOY (7) when second in the above mentioned race on this circuit last time out and he will get his chance to exact revenge tonight with the barrier draw advantage. OTHERS: THE RAGPICKERS DREAM (4) was also quite good in defeat behind JAMIES BOY (7) in that same affair and is a genuine threat to that fellow along with the other of the Shayne Cramp runners in IMA GRUMPY JASPER (6) who is absolutely flying at present. SUPERSTAR XPRESS (1) is the next best. RATINGS:7/3/4/6/1/5/2 SUGGESTED BET: JAMIES BOY (7) to win 5 Casual Collections 8.00 1790m. $5000. He rises in grade tonight but he draws inside his main rivals and looks ready to take the next step. DANGER: JACCKA LAUCHIE (9) has been racing well in this grade for a while without winning but he is always competitive and with a bit of pace expected early he is sure to be rattling home from the rear at a rate of knots. OTHERS: LORD COBURN (6) has been no match for Charlie Machsheen and Amajorjo at Melton at his past two but he will find this more to his liking and looks the other main winning chance. EASTWOOD EMBER (4) is the next best. RATINGS:3/9/6/4/8/2/7/1 SUGGESTED BET: WELL OILED LOMBO (3) to win 6 Cowards Cakes 8.30 2190m. $5000. DANGER: ALL CHARGED UP (10) didn't fire at all at Broken Hill last time, which is a bit of a worry, but his form prior to that was well up to winning a race of this nature and a return to his best will see him in the finish here. OTHERS: GLACIAL (6) was game in defeat behind Village Lou here last Wednesday night after doing the work and rates as an upset chance along with ONE DOG ONE BONE (8). STILLTICKINGOVER (5), CRAIGMOR PRINCE (4), SIGN OF SPRING (1) and HANK HILL (9) can place. RATINGS:11/10/6/8/5/4/1/9/7/2 SUGGESTED BET: HOTASEL (11) to win 7 Nick Reck Goodyear 9.00 2190m. $5000. He went all-the-way on this circuit four runs ago and whether in front or sitting on DREAM LA VITA (2) he will get his chance. DANGER: DREAM LA VITA (2) was much too slick for Elle Jasper here last start after trailing that mare throughout and if he is lucky enough to get the lead off VILLAGE SPIRIT (1) this time around he will take plenty of running down. OTHERS: ONEONTHEWOOD (11) faces a task from the extreme alley but he should be a force if things go his way in the run with PRIMO TAPIA (8) and FINEDROPOFRED (10) looming as the upsets. XAVIER JACK (3) has place claims. RATINGS:1/2/11/8/10/3/4/6/9/5 SUGGESTED BET: VILLAGE SPIRIT (1) to win 8 Econo Lodge Pace 9.30 2190m. $5000. 4yo & up C0 Only RBD Mobile 1 5679s SWEET CHAMPAGNE Michael Bellman Fr 6.00 2 37762 SHY LUCY Kylie Hughes Fr 7.00 3 9s3s6 JUSTA STAR LOMBO Nigel Milne Fr 26.00 4 56s76 JAYDENS BOY Ryan Hryhorec Fr 10.00 5 82874 THE HAITIAN (Em1) Ellen Tormey (C) Fr 6 77986 CHILLAXIN Daryl Douglas Fr 12.00 Second Line 7 86685 DUTTON WAY Neil McCallum Fr 4.50 8 6644s CAMS ART Luke Watson Fr 4.00 9 s7687 SAUVIGNON BLANC Nathan Jack Fr 15.00 10 44566 WICKED ISLE Michael Francis Fr 5.50 11 54908 NORTHERLY RAIN Rebecca Bartley (C) Fr 21.00 TOP PICK: CAMS ART (8) didn't do a great deal in four runs last season but they were against some quality performers and he has trialled Ok in the lead up to his first up run tonight so in a tricky contest he may be the one they have to beat. DANGER: DUTTON WAY (7) would have been a clear top pick in this had he not have drawn so awkwardly but he gets Daryl Douglas and with the right luck in running he should be a factor. OTHERS: WICKED ISLE (10) has only been battling of late but he drops in class and has to be given a hope along with SWEET CHAMPAGNE (1) and SHY LUCY (2). JAYDENS BOY (4), CHILLAXIN (6), SAUVIGNON BLANC (9) and NORTHERLY RAIN (11) can all place without surprising. DANGER: ELFAVOURITE (2) copped pressure in the lead and wilted to run fourth behind White Sands in that same contest mentioned above at his latest outing but he is much better with a sit and can be dangerous if given the right trip. OTHERS: IDLE HANDS (1) draws to be prominent throughout, either in the lead or just off the speed and is an each way chance on his last start third to Say Cheese at Boort 9 days ago along with ALDEBARAN MACHA (4) who is first up for Shayne Cramp, the consistent PAR THREE (11) and NIKKIS DELIGHT (9). Fresh from having his six-month disqualification downgraded to a driving suspension of the same term, Shayne Cramp will tackle the Mildura Cup series as a trainer. But that won't stop him exerting a massive influence, with Jamies Boy, The Ragpickers Dream and Ima Grumpy Jasper all campaigning in the evening's fast- class feature. Jamies Boy looks best placed and has been marked a $1.60 favourite by Harness Racing Victoria form expert Michael Polster. The Ragpickers Dream ($6) and Ima Grumpy Jasper ($7) are two of three other horses in single figures along with Bruce Rose's six-year- old, Have A Bender ($5). Lightning quick TWO-TIME Hunter Cup placegetter and Inter Dominion finalist Jaccka Clive headlines nominations for Thursday night's Lightning Mile at Ballarat. The feature race is aptly named as Bray Raceway's makeover has been completed in lightning quick fashion. Other high profile-nominations in the race are rejuvenated six-year- old Renaissance Man along with Blucolla Tigerpie and local hero Decorated Jasper. Ballarat has positioned its sprint feature as an ideal starting point for trainers pursuing next month's Miracle Mile and there are several bonuses available. Aside from the $20,000 purse and a Razor Sulky, winning owners will snare a $5000 bonus for breaking the track record of 1min 54.9sec and $10,000 for eclipsing the state record of 1min 51.1sec. Warragul waiting VICTORIA'S Country Cup circuit winds its way to the Logan Park track at Warragul on Sunday. Billed as the Easter Eggstravaganza, Warragul's feature meeting should attract plenty of interest with great prizes on offer. For the horseman there is the $25,000 Warragul Pacing Cup and $10,000 Trotters Cup plus the Warragul Guineas and heats of the Vicbred Platinum Mares Sprint Championship. If trainers targeting the cup meeting also went to Warragul on March 18, they'll go into a draw for first prize of a Dooza Sulky. For racegoers, there's the chance to share in a $2000 prize pool by picking the last five winners of the day. For help finding winners on the trots, visit goodform.hrv.org.au. Gold on offer IN a break from tradition, Victoria will be unrepresented in Saturday night's Group 1 juvenile double at Bathurst; the Alabar Gold Crown and Alabar Gold Tiara. Leeton Breeders Plate and The Lombo final winner Business In Motion was an impressive Gold Crown heat winner on Friday along with unbeaten colt Allblack Stride. In heats of the Gold Tiara, Somebeachsomewhere filly Whereibylong was the biggest winner by margin while Two Eye See's little sister, Eyecatching, recorded the fastest time. Gold Crown and Tiara finals will also be staged for three-year-old pacers of both genders on Saturday night, with each final carrying a $15,000 purse.
