He worked to the lead mid-race at Echuca a fortnight ago, clearing out to win by an ever increasing 57 metes. The opposition here is stronger but he still looks to have something on them. ALGRANCO ALIVE (10) is a wonderfully consistent 4YO gelding who s won three of his latest nine starts. He comes off a solid third to Mendelico in a Tabcorp Park sprint affair in 1:56.9, a first up for eight weeks second here last week to the talented Golden Showgirl, and a fast second at Bendigo last Monday where he led over the sprint trip and Rakamaz had to run a track record 1:55.1 to beat him. LUCKNOW MONICA (9) was placed a couple of times at Tabcorp Park before a battling fourth at Bendigo when held up and doing her best work late. That trio rate clearly ahead of NO FANTASY (3), who began badly in a Geelong stand when resuming from a spell last week; and MILKCART ERNIE (12), a winner here in October who hasn t started since failing from an awkward draw on this circuit seven weeks ago. KINGUSSIE (6), who won from the breeze at Bendigo at his second start, knocked up after working hard to lead at Bendigo ten days ago but deserves another chance. Ratings:11/10/9/3,12/6. His form this season has been moderate but he showed improvement when coming out of the one-one to score at Albury last weekend and he meets sub-standard opposition. ITS GAME ON (10) is a battling type who s finished fourth at four of his latest five runs. He came from the rear at Bendigo two starts back, then had the run of the race in a much stronger field at Maryborough last week. BLACKTIE TOFF (11) was an improver when second in a similar race to this at Echuca a fortnight ago before a battling fifth in fast time at Bendigo last Monday. Each way chances to NOSY MAC (5), who ran his best race for some time when placed in a moderate race here last week; and THATS GOLD (6), who ran third to the handy Jaccka Felix at Maryborough eight days ago. He resumes off some excellent trial efforts and grades well at this level. ALDEBARANFANTASTIC (3) didn t do much in three starts in August last year but caught the eye with a flashing finish from near last on the home turn when second to Jasper Jeff (winner again since) at Kilmore a fortnight ago. She lacks early speed but will be doing her best work in the closing stages. TORADO FELLA (11) made it five placings on end when following a Tabcorp Park second and two thirds there with a solid third to Ghadasbest at Geelong last weekend. He draws awkwardly but is a fit racehorse. That trio rate well clear of BONNIE LASHLEY (1) and DEEJAYELL (8). Ratings:6/3/11/1/8. He draws the extreme outside on the second line in a sprint race but there was a lot to like about his recent seconds, to Mendelico at Stawell and in a hot race on Cranbourne Cup night, and he was badly locked away when just behind them in a much stronger field at Yarra Valley last week. ROCKET RULER (4) has won three of eight this season. He followed back-to-back Cobram victories with a Bendigo failure, then finished well from the one-one when second here last week to PUNT HIGH (7). MARKLEIGH (1) showed good early speed when running fast time to win an Echuca sprint affair in all the way fashion a fortnight ago, then had no luck when down the track at Geelong last time. He ll be hard to run down should he find the lead. PRINCE OF ALBERT (9) has been placed six times on end since winning a low grade Tabcorp Park affair in October. He battled on nicely when second at Bendigo last Monday. Next best are PUNT HIGH (7), who had the run of the race to beat ROCKET RULER (4) here last week; and JONTY BROMAC (8), who won first up at Kilmore, then weakened to fifth when favourite and leading at Yarra Valley last week -- he s likely to sit behind the pole marker here and use the sprint lane. He failed at his next two runs but looked good when wide to the breeze from a handicap mark and scoring well at Ballarat last week. Ex-Kiwi INDIAN WELLS (6) was never sighted in the Cranbourne Trotters Cup at his first Australian start, but showed up well in the Yarra Valley Trotters Cup last week where he was taken to the breeze mid-race, led at the 350, then galloped on the home turn when looking a good chance of winning. SUN OF IRIS (10) has ability but often makes mistakes. He was resuming from a spell when flashing home from near last for fourth to Don King in last Sunday s Wedderburn Trotters Cup and will be much improved by that outing. GROOVY BROMAC (1) sat in the breeze when a first up second here before a luckless fifth at Tabcorp Park, then won but was relegated to second after straying into the sprint lane at Cranbourne on Wednesday. He ll make a bold bid from the pole. CILLAS EARL (13) looks the other major winning chance -- he was outstanding winning a Menangle mobile on Miracle Mile day, then wide for a long way when favourite and a gallant third in last week s Yarra Valley Trotters Cup. A winner here in August he comes off a close 1:56.6 sprint second here to Galveron, an excellent come-from- behind third in a strong Bendigo affair, and a wide to the breeze second to all the way winner Coastal at Melton last weekend. ROJEN CRUZ (10) has been in super form recently. He trailed wide in the last lap when a ten metre Cobram winner early last month, then blew them away with a fast come-from-behind effort on this circuit before again smashing his opposition with a scintillating sprint to score an easy victory on this circuit last week. THE WILD STORM (8) was having his first run for Tony Peacock when leading all the way to score well at Ballarat before being cut down late by Road To Rainbow when a gallant second in the Stawell Cup last time. ALDEBARAN SWANNEE (4) finished well for fourth at Cranbourne a couple of runs back before running into traffic at Tabcorp Park last week. At his first run for five weeks, he led and fought on doggedly when cut down late in a brilliant 1:57.8 for this trip by Village Of Dreams at Bendigo last week and will be mighty hard to run down. TRIPLE VANCE (4) worked to the breeze and was a handy Tabcorp Park country front winner three weeks ago before a battling mid-field effort in the Wedderburn Cup at Maryborough last weekend. He looks much better suited here. JAZZAM (9) is a classy mare who 7 of 19 last season. She flashed home late when beaten two metres in the end of a 56.5 last split when second to Kalypson Kid at Ballarat a month ago, then finished mid-field in a Tabcorp Park FFA behind Ti Vogliobene at her latest start. She s ready to win. He ll be improved by that, his first start for nine weeks and draws nicely. LYNS CHARM (9) led all the way in her first glimpse of form when breaking her maiden status at start number four at Maryborough a fortnight ago, then wasn t disgraced when wide to the breeze and fifth in a much stronger field than this there last Sunday.
